That was a great first chapter! I loved how you tied in the wedding into your story. Since it'll probably be another year before book 7 is released, it's nice to try to figure out what will happen the summer after HBP. Great job! Summary: Remember when Harry went down to Hagrid's to get Slughorn's memory? The only mention of Ron and Hermione is Lavender demanding to know why Ron was up in the boys' dormatories with Hermione. I, myself, would have rather seen how that played out, and joined Harry later. But, sorrowfully, we didn't, and, thus, a fanfic was born.

Slightly OOC on the part of some characters, but not too much!

Okay...when I was about half-way through at first I was going to say that this was a great fic but far-fetched. I was going to say that it reminded me of the Prisoner of Azkaban movie moments with Ron and Hermione near the Shrieking Shack (I loved that part), but now that I'm done...Well, you put a very interesting twist on the end. It's almost believable, but I don't think JKR would have tortured Hermione and Ron more than what was in the books. A memory charm was a clever idea though--good job!

Author's Response: Thanks. JKR wouldn\'t have tortured them in writing, but she leaves that times when Harry wasn\'t with them to the imagination. One can only wonder what had happened....and I, being the horrible, cynical person I am ;], I love to put my characters through loss and pain.

Very crafty! I liked it. I really thought it was Hermione crying her eyes out until the end. Now, looking back over it, I can see that she never would have said "you-know-who business" and that she and Ron weren't dating so they couldn't keep going out. But the Yule Ball ideas and the "pretty and popular" friend referring to either Ginny or Parvati was nicely done.
