Hello. :) I'm eighteen years old, but unfortunately I haven't written fan fiction since I was fifteen or sixteen. I'm usually very much inspired by the events happening in my real life, and sometimes it gets woven into what I write. It amuses me greatly that there are certain things I have somehow predicted in my writing without knowing... I've noticed this while re-reading "Questioning Fate" for the first time in years. I find writing very therapeutic and a great creative outlet for me... however, lately I find myself more likely to draw or paint than write something worth showing others.

Regret by Ella Norman

Wow, you wrote this in one afternoon? It would've taken me months to reach perfection like this. I have to say it's so sad to think that Ron and Hermione would ever be apart and living lives without eachother - so sad that things like that happen in real life too.. I suppose, and in movies. This was a really moving piece of fan fiction and very very well written. The letter is very Hermione-like and does seem very .. realistic? The whole situation of them not being together (I'm repeating myself, I know) doesn't seem possible in my head just because I'm quite obsessed with the ship.. but it's very plausable at the same time. Anyways, my point is that this is a very good fic and I'm so glad I read it. =)
Harry Potter and the Darkest Hour by Stormy

Date: 06/28/05 Title: Chapter 19: Truth, Lies and Curses
OH my god. It's past one AM and I've just finished reading this. I just saw that it was updated right before I was going to leave. But, I just had to read this. I'm pretty tired right now, so my brain can't really function properly. So I might have to read this chapter again tomorrow. Oh my god. I can't find words to describe how I felt while reading your chapter... It was so so so intense... so so emotional (though my tiredness prevents me to fully transform words into feelings properly right now). I beleive I'm the first to read and review this.. and I beat you for noticing the update (but of course, you're sleeping now so I know, it's not that great) lol. This chapter was so so so intense. I really must tell you for the millionth time how talented of a writer you are. Anyway, I need to catch up on some sleep now (I probably will be kept up by thinking about this story over and over again...not that that's a bad thing!)

Date: 06/27/05 Title: Chapter 18: The Darkest Hour
Oh my gosh... 57 times and probably even more?! I can feel shivers go up and down my arms and legs as I read this... You're making my eyes fill up with tears again.. Poor Harry! Yes I'm really enjoying this one. I always feel a rush when I'm reading something really good, such as this. You must know that your fan fiction is really good when it can make me feel these emotions, seeing that I usually don't get emotion enough. I really love this chapter! I just feel so bad for Harry! And Snape (probably) saving Harry at the end... it's just such a twist (though I don't really know what's going to happen after this...) I really can't wait for more! And I will check out your other fic pretty soon!
Author's Response: I'm afraid to say that Harry's in for a bit of a rough ride... Actually, so are quite a lot of people :) I'm so pleased you like it so far though, and that I'm able to keep the tension up! My other fic hopefully will be up really soon...
Date: 06/17/05 Title: Chapter 8: Unwanted Power
Oooh I got to start writing a grand big review that I'm going to submit at the end of reading all of this (or when I'm partway and need an eye break). Right now I'm in the middle of chapter seven, and it Ron and Hermione say that they've got to go to the great hall since they're prefects. I do recall that before, they were trying to get into the common room and I beleive at least Ron was there and they didn't know the passwords (because they apparently took a quicker route and beat the prefects and the first years), how could that be?
But anyhow, that's a very minor mistake (which I make millions of, unlike you that I've noticed). And I need to mention how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE your lovely fan fiction! It's angsty, and that's what I love. I love everything else you've done as well. It's not cliché, grammar and spelling are flawless (of what I read) and you made me CRY. (During the time which Harry was screaming in pain when he was being posessed, that was SO sad!) Anyhow, back to reading.
- I love how Ron guessed the password to Dumbledore's office!
- I really love all the spells you've made up from latin words!
I'm so sorry that you don't get as much reviews as you want, but hopefully this will make up for some of it. I don't understand why you don't get as much reviews though, your story is amazing!

Author's Response: Yay! New Reader AND a long review! Sorry, I'll get to the point... The bit about R/Hr being prefects; they are still prefects but they stayed with Harry on the Hogwarts Express rather than going to the meeting, so they didn't know what the password was. Sorry if that bit didn't tie up to well but I hope that clears that up a bit...
I'm so pleased you don't think it's cliché and that grammar/spelling etc. are ok. I'm glad you like the Latin too. Thanks for the 10 and the encouragement! I'd rather have 1 review like this than 100 which just say 'good story' or something :)

Harry seems happier in this one in the beggining of this one. And Ron and Hermione are just so cute! Finally a happy tern in this story for one short period of time(not saying that I'm sick of angst either). Oh my, Snape?! I thought he was helping Dumbledore. Anyway, I have to read more.
P.S.
I just need to tell you that reading your fan fiction keeps me sane until book six comes out in 28 days! And it's just like reading the book! Great work!

I think you're doing wonderful at your first shot at romance! My first 4 or 5 shots were not nearly as good as yours. You see, you don't make it too obvious that there's something's going on. It's not like rubbing into their faces "oh yeah they're going out, they love eachother" but its subtle and more realistic that way. Good job!

I'm also sad that it's come to the end of the story. I really admire how you can easily (it seems) wrap up the end of the story so nicely. It's really like the books that way. I really did enjoy reading this fan fiction of yours, it must be one of the best that I've ever read so far and I'm really looking forward to the sequel. Btw, I reccommended this story in the fan fiction forums, more people need to read this wonderfully written story :)
Author's Response: Lol, wrapped up the end easily?! It took me about two hours to write each of the previous chapters but the last chappie took me almost 5! I had to keep rewriting it so I ended it on the right tone as well as tying up quite a few of the loose ends. I'm so pleased you thought it was good though :)
I'm honoured that you count this amoung some of you favs and as for recommending this on the forums... *massive grin* Lol, I never thought anyone would recomend one of my fics!

I love hearing Harry's full name, because it's just SO CUTE! Lol, I'm part of Harry's fan club, but at least I have respect for Ginny :). Awe, Harry and Ginny are just so cute, especially when you're writting it. I'm also glad there's been a break for Harry before anything devastating happens. I've never heard to song before, but it's a very good fit. I don't understand the last line of Ron and Hermione though -- it seems really random.
If I could offer any sugguestions it'd be to use a variety of words to start of paragraphs (I noticed you started them with "she" or "he" a lot).

Wow. Though "wow" isn't the most original thing to say when you review, I really can't think of another word because I am practically speechless. I really enjoyed reading this fic, as I found it reccomended as a Dark/Angsty fic involving Voldemort in the Beta Forums. As many of your other reviews have said, you have a very very original idea. I'm so pleased to come across such a wonderfully written fic like yours. Unique plot lines and ideas in fan fiction make it a whole lot more interesting in the end. Thanks for writing this fiction. 10/10 of course.
