To Write: It isn't simply an infinitive; it's the way authors allow their hearts to bleed onto paper, freeing their emotions as their soul pours into their work. It isn't purely a phrase. The two words, the seven letters, are the description of everything within an author. A writer, compared to an author, are worlds apart. Whereas a writer is deeply passionate over their works of art, an author is one who is determined not only to succeed but is willing to bestow their own heart into their fiction. Fully willing to fall in love repeatedly with the characters and stories our eyes see, an author's job to compose new worlds for fellow imaginations to visit is never complete.
To write is to release one's senses as the door to vivid imagination is opened wide. Showing with words, drawing the pictures for one's mind's eye to view, pulling you ever-so-slightly into our worlds of fiction: this is every author's aspiration.
I am not only a writer. I am an author.

Aww, very sad. I think this is probably the first Merope fanfic that I've ever read, and it really held my attention for the whole letter. You wrote Merope very well; I really enjoyed your take on her character.
I think I saw a character banner for Merope once, and the main quote was "Obsession" or something like that. I guess that's the way that I've always imagined her when reading anything about her, and that's exactly what you did with this. Well, I sort of got off my subject there, but I guess I just want to say... Well done! This was beautiful, and the way that you expressed that she was completely and wholly in love with Tom was so believable. I loved it.

I love this. Your description is really beautiful, and I'm happy that you didn't bring Lily into it. I mean, I love to read fics about her... And hey, you even beta'd a fic that I wrote with her in it! But I'm glad that you didn't try to squeeze her into this when it was completely about Remus and the Marauders. So anyways... end of rant there, but I loved this line:
“I dunno. Something to make your skin peel and burn?” James shrugged. “Don’t see what the big deal was.”
