Hi, I'm Valentinia, your typical Harry Potter obsessed teen.
I've read the HP books so many times that I've lost count, but I'm guessing most of you on MNFF have done the same!
Otherwise, I'm pretty boring.
My favorite band is Evanescence.
My favorite HP characters are Luna "Loony" Lovegood and Petunia Dursley.
My favorite HP book is PoA.
My favorite HP chapter is "Career Advice" from OotP.
My favorite HP film is probably OotP.
My favorite HP actor is Evanna Lynch. There're a lot of great ones though!
I'm an all-out Ron/Hermione, Luna/Harry and Ginny/Neville shipper. *Sigh*. I know, I know, Canon just sort of ruined those last two. Still, Harry/Ginny was okay. I guess.
I also love stories about Parvati, Padma and Lavender, because I think they deserve some character and depth and they're often deprived of it and made into girly non-humans.
And here some cool things from other people's profiles:
Weird is good, strange is bad, and odd is when you don't know which to call someone. Weird is the same as different, which is the same as unique,so weird is good. If you are weird and proud of it, copy this onto your profile!
92 percent of American teens would die if Abercombie and Fitch told them it was uncool to breathe. Copy this in your profile if you would be the 8 percent that would be laughing your head off.

If you've been on the computer for hours on end, reading numerous fanfictions, copy this into your profile

You know you live in 2007 when...
1. You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.
2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is that they don't have AIM/LiveJournal/MySpace.
4. You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the button on the TV.
6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.
7. You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.
8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.
9. You were too busy to notice number five.
10. You actually scrolled back up to check if there was a number five.
11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.
12. Put this in your pro if you fell for it. You know you did.
Ninety-five percent of teenagers are concerned about being popular. And this lovely banner was made by SiriuslyMental... a big round of applause!! *claps loudly*
And the newest banner:
by the magnificent MissHermioneGranger! Isn't Mary-Sue beautiful?
And lastly, since every profile should have an HP quiz result! :)
Oh, you're right about the promise.... *feels stupid* I didn't make the connection!
Author's Response: Don\'t worry about it, it wasn\'t an easy connection to make, but I really did tie everything together.
Good story. I guessed who the people were *yay for me!*, but it was still pretty suspenseful. I'm not sure why you included the last scene (even though it was well-written and intruiguing) cause it didn't directly have anything to do with the plot. Damocles' promise seemed a bit pointless to the plot (though it was quite touching... poor kid...) too. Anyway, very good story! I really enjoyed it!
Author's Response: The last scene was added just in case someone didn\'t figure out who the villian was, because I never actually revealed his or her name until the last part, to tie it into the actual books. Damocles\' promise was not pointless at all! You just have to know who Damocles was and what he did later in his life (read Slughorn\'s comments to Marcus Belby on page. 144 of Half-Blood Prince (US)) I hope you come back to read this...anyways thanks for the review!
Poor Brian! This has to be the shortest fic that has ever had me this close to tears! A truly sad story. It must be so awful to have a few "good" moments only to "lose" Harry all over again. A really good story, though!
I love how so many of the one-shots in this series show Snape's relationship with someone. His with Minerva is rather unusual, but very cleverly written. They are definately both smart and witty people, and both with a certain (though different) edge to them.
I really liked your portrayal of both of them! It was really a fun read, and everyone was IC! By the way, I really enjoyed the thistles, for some reason! :D
Author's Response: A thorny relationship, perhaps? The truth is, I just like seeing what any two people I can put together think of each other, and do it to my RL friends, too. Thanks for the review! This is officially my Yule Ball fic, partly to see if I could write an un-cliched one.
lol... Bit disturbing, but still quite funny (Voldemort and Bella in front of Death Eaters... wierd and... ew... but... funny :D). Wonder who the Quidditch player was? :}
Author's Response: *sporfle* Ack, this is one of the times I didn\'t check Canon--not sure if there was a male Slytherin 7th-year player during Harry\'s 5th year. Eh, so maybe the story also has a bit of AU to it. Hey, I know! Maybe Fred or George swung by the old alma mater...*whacks self with rolled-up newspaper. \"Bad author! No biscuit!\" Sinister grin.*
I don't think I've ever read anything like this! It's a very original one-shot, with a great oc. I like how you only learn a little bit about her life, but in the end, the reader feels like he knows Alia. The inclusion of Charlie was great too!
Another aspect that was great was that in the end, she says that love and hope will save the world, not, as with a lot of other fics, that Harry's love and hope will save them. I think this fic can teach us all something, great wizards and humble Muggles alike. :D Brilliant.
Author's Response: Oh! Thank you! *blushes* I am glad you liked it!
How sad! I like how some hope is interwoven, too, though, with the mention of Jacob maybe being the "chosen one" - I'd love to read more about that. As a stand alone one-shot this was great too, though! You're writing and the connecting of flashback and present was very artistic, and the feelings realistic.
Sad!! So sad! It's great how Harry's emotions are shown so well, his great sadness and, in the battle, his determination. Though this story was undeniably sad, it didn't have an oppressive feeling to it, like you were trying to make the world look bleaker than it is. Instead, the cruelty and yet the bit of light were described very well. I hope Harry has more children, so that he can be the father he wanted to be!
Poor Snape. I like how his feelings have been building up for so long and yet Snape never actually gets up the courage to tell her. (whoops... wasn't supposed to call him a coward was I...)
Author's Response: Hehe it’s ok. I don’t think he’s really a coward anyways, even though you’re right about him not having the courage to tell her. It’s that whole constant heartbreak thing…he just couldn’t bring himself to admit it, especially since he must still resent her for embarrassing him in front of his classmates and for marrying James. What a complex man, that Severus. Thanks for reviewing! ~GG
I really liked this story! I think that Sirius' feelings were just right, and the amount was perfect - not absolutely no plot, but not only action. The interactions between Andromeda and Sirius were good, too - I like how she says they should stick together. It shows that, even though she's good and not a pure-blood-freak, she still has some of that Black family pride.
Anyway, I thought I'd also take this opportunity to thank you so much for the James/Petunia story!! I did enjoy it a lot! So, again, thanks!
Valentinia
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed. I\'m glad it all came together good.
And, no, Andromeda isn\'t a \"pure-blood-freak\" (I laughed at that phrase, by the way) but that doesn\'t mean she doesn\'t love her family. It must be hard to complete walk away from your family, no matter how different you are from them. I think she sees this as a chance to reconnect with at least one member of her family.
I\'m also glad you enjoyed the James/Petunia story. It should be on MNFF before too long. Again, I\'m really glad you enjoyed both stories. :D
Another wonderful story! I think that: "They may have never been in love, but they had grown to care about each other. She had grown to like the feeling of his touch" shows exactly what Narcissa and Lucius's marraige was like. Also, I like how throughout the story the theme of "no going back" and of makin choices is present.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I really appreciate the kind reviews.
I\'m glad you liked my description of Lucius and Narcissa\'s marriage. I really don\'t think they ever loved each other, but because they ended up together, and had a child, they developed a special bond. It\'s not romantic love, but it\'s caring, just the same.
And yes, I wanted to make it very clear that there was no going back. That is, after all, life. We make our choices, and we must live them. I think almost every character in the HP books would like to redo parts, if not all of their lives, but they will never have that opportunity. Unfortunatly, that\'s not the way the world works.
Thank you again for the lovely review. Reviews always make me smile!
I think, this is my favorite part of your "Severus in Profile" series. As usual, everyone was IC, and yet Severus showed someone else, a student, that he is a good guy in the end. Ginny accepting him really showed her strength in character, which I think you portrayed very well. And the relationship between the two was quite touching. Almost Severus being the parent he never had. Really, I don't know what else to say, except that this is a masterpiece.
Author's Response: Wow! *blush* I\'m fond of this one too, actually. There\'s so much we don\'t see of both of them, and yet we do know something of both, and some of it seems compatible. Thanks for the lovely review!
This is the story of the tragic love life of Merope Gaunt, Voldemort’s mother. It is told in first person from Merope’s point of view. She has deep feelings for Tom Riddle Senior, the son of the village squire; and tries to make him fall in love with her. However, Merope learns the hard way that a “love” potion can create only a powerful obsession, not true love.
Additional warning: bad language.
Good fic. I like how Merope's feelings are used so much that the reader (who does, after all, understand Tom's fury) feels greatly for her. I think this is just how she must have felt, and pretty much what their "relationship" must have been like. Plus, I love the pairing :).
Author's Response: See above. *doesn\'t want the \"unresponded\" column showing a number*

Author's Response: Ah, thank you! I\'m surprised that the fic moved you a lot. :)
Poor Ginny. I like how this is a friendship fic, but has such an angsty touch. The last paragraph kind of confused me. Ginny didn't already get the abortion, did she? I mean, that wouldn't make sense with the last sentence, would it? Oh well. That's probably just me. I hope Ginny isn't pregnant. :D
p.s. Are you going to continue this fic?
Author's Response: We don\'t know if Ginny got the abortion or not, or even if she was pregnant. I left that out on purpose. The focus is on the moral decision that Hermione (and to some extent Ginny) has to make. I might continue this, but I would add chapters that come before what I already have posted. Thanks for taking the time to review!
Cute, how Ron and Harry are so terrified of telling her. :) I liked that she took it so well, though, and I enjoyed seeing Luna. Also, the way Harry used what resources he had was quite clever. Loved "anvil-sized hints"!!
Author's Response: Thank you -- couldn\'t resist that phrase. :) It was fun to write Luna, and Harry having to learn to call on his resources is a pet theory of mine for Book 7 ...
I really like the descriptions of Orion's feelings. There aren't a lot of fics about him out there (in fact, I haven't seen any until this) and it's quite refreshing to hear about someone who has so little to do with canon. Poor him, though. You can really feel for both Orion and Sirius.
Wow. Even though her personality is very different from the Bellatirx' we meet later, I think this could well be what her childhood was like. I loved the comment she made about her father, and all the feelings she has for her sisters. It really shows that she was forced to grow up faster than she should have had to. Also, there is a kind of devotion she feels for her sisters that is a bit similar (though more kind, I guess) to that she feels for Voldemort much later.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review!
Yeah, in a lot of ways Bella\'s personality is different from when we meet her in the books. But we have to remember that this is Bella as an eleven year old child, and that is Bella as a full grown woman who has seen and done horrible things, spent years of her life in Azkaban. The woman we meet in the books has lived through a lot more than this child.
As for Bella\'s devotion, it is my opinion that the Black family is very loyal. We have seen that loyalty in the books from Sirius, Bella, Narcissa, and even a little bit from Draco. I think that it is a very strong Black trait.
Thank you again for reviewing. I love reviews!
Short and sweet. Okay, not sweet exactly, but a very good story. You did use "mOm" once and "mUm" once, too, but that's really a small thing. I would've liked a bit more background information, perhaps, on the relationship between the girl and her grandmother as well as between Lana and Luna. I like the emotions of the old woman who hasn't fogiven herself for something she did so long ago mixed with the emotions of Jemina.
Wow. That's a really cool and original AU! I really love it! And your writing makes it all so believable and realistic (for HP... :D). Plus, I like seeing Sirius and Severus become friends! :) I can't wait to find out more about this world! Brilliant fic so far, update soon!
