I have two stories up currently:
A Difficult Conversation, which was the first story I ever wrote on MNFF and is Draco/Ginny, and
Sub Rosa, a one-shot I wrote for the 2009 Gauntlet. My character was Draco Malfoy, and it has no pairings at all. It also won the challenge (yayy!).
Please read one or both of these and leave me a review? I'll love you forever!
I also beta-read (you can find me on the Beta Boards under the same username).
What an adorable story! I loved reading it - it was great pleasure. Your characterization of Remus was excellently done - I felt like I could really understand him. The way you described his feelings of disappointment at the thought that there are worlds of things he might have to miss because of his...furry little problem (!) was palpable throughout the story. Dumbledore was great, too - I adored the ending and the way you brought through Dumbledore's kindness by action alone. All in all, it was great fun to read!

Author's Response: Oh wow, thanks a lot for your review! :) I'm glad you liked Dumbledore, I have great respect for people who frequently write him, as I think he's easy to overdo in lots of ways (too kind, too "excentric", too wise, ...)
Hey!
This was such a pleasure to read (and beta)! Your characterization of Cho really made me stop and think about all that I knew from the books and how much my dislike for her (for I *do* dislike her, haha) was from something specific in the books and how much of it was from a general dislike of Harry/Cho - and I think your poem proved it was mostly the latter! Cho and Cedric really seemed to have a special relationship in your poem, and you brought out her feelings of loss very well. I liked the length of the poem, too - it let you set up everything wanted to say really well. The lack of a rhyme scheme threw me off a little, but I can see why you structured the poem the way you did. All in all, nice job!
Hugs,
Apurva.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review and recommendation, Apurva! I'm glad I made you think more about Cho. I admit I heartily disliked for a long time and then I realised it was the Harry/Cho thing that really put me off. She does redeem herself. And the fact that she stood up for her misguided friend is less shameful and more admirable considering Harry himself always stood up for his own friends. I think her character has a lot to explore within fan fiction so I'm happy to know I can make authors reconsider their own dislike of her. Again thanks so much for the review and rec and most of all for being an amazing beta!

Awww, I adored this poem! It was short, sweet, and very touching. I've thought a lot about this love story, and it's definitely one that deserves a poem because of all the inherent melodrama that just comes with the package, I think. You tackled the pairing in a really great way - all in all, it was very nice to read. You definitely have a talent for poetry! :) Nice job!
Author's Response: Hello Apurva!
Yes, "Snape's great love" for Lily definitely needed to be written about, and the poem just hit me. I thought it wouldn't work at first, but it seems to have turned out fine. Lol! I dunno if I really have a talent for poetry though. I mean, I don't get inspired to write poems often, and I struggle with it even if an idea strikes me. However, I have been encouraged by all your lovely words. :)
Thanks again for the review!
Haha yayy! What a great one-shot - I love everything about it...the way Gryffindor wins, the way you kept all the Marauders in character...I especially also love your characterization of James - he's exactly as stubborn as I thought he would be! Nice job, and I'm sorry you have a cold *although, if it inspired you to write this, I'm less sorry, haha*
Hugs, Apurva.
Author's Response: HEHE!
Of course you'd like how the Gryffs won. :P. Thank you for saying I kept the Marauders IC, because I feel like there's that line between keeping them IC, and making them Cliche, and I'm glad to hear I didn't cross it. I had that cold . :( It was terrible.
[hugs and love]

Hey!
I can't believe this has no reviews yet! It was utterly amazing - very few people manage to successfully weave religion and Harry Potter together without offending one or the other, but you did a spectacular job of it. Not only that, I thought it was amazing that you also managed to give the reader a glimpse of the decisions of one character, a very minor one at that :) It was such a pleasure to read.
Hugs,
Apurva.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it, Apurva - especially the mix of religion and HP. I seem to remember reading somewhere that JK envisioned Britain's wizards as being the same, religiously-speaking, as their Muggle counterparts and the existence of the "Fat Friar" (Hugh several centuries after this story) definitely argues that wizarding monastic orders exist. But I was still a little iffy about mixing them - especially as religion is one of the main reasons HP is challenged in schools and libraries. Anyway. Thanks for reading and reviewing, and I'm glad you liked it.
I loved this little one-shot! The characterization of Molly was perfect, and I could literally see their conversation unfolding in front of my eyes - something that rarely happens, I assure you ;) Amazing job! I can just see Mrs. Weasley sitting around one day and thinking about how she hasn't been the nicest person to Hermione and simply resolving to fix that, haha. I think you captured her oh-my-little-boy-is-growing-up feelings perfectly! :)
Hugs,
Apurva.
Author's Response: It occurred to me once that Mrs Weasley wasn't too friendly too Hermione at the end of GoF, but they seemed to get along just fine by the time Harry arrived at Grimmauld Place in OotP. I figured something must have happened for them to work it, and the rest grew from there. I'm so pleased that you could actually see the conversation happening. It warms the cockles of my heart. As for the part about Ron growing up, I hadn't originally thought of including it in this story, but it seemed to fit. I'm glad you thought so, too. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this wonderful review, Apurva. It's brought a big grin to my face. *squishes*
