The Daughter of Light by Magical Maeve
Rated: 1st-2nd Years •Summary: An Irish witch languishes in the darkness of her family home, confined by her father and circumstances. What will it take to bring her out of this exile? The chance to return to Hogwarts? The opportunity to participate in the fight against Voldemort and his Death Eaters? Or will it be Severus Snape, a man she did not expect to see again in her lifetime?
This is canon compliant to OoTP but written pre-HBP.

Wow! I have been sucked into your story, I couldn't stop reading it. I for one was never a D/Hr shipper. I, like JKR, found the idea ridiculus. After reading your story thought, I can understand where people saw it. Your descriptions are wonderful, the twists are beautiful. Please keep going. Thank you. As for ideas, maybe Harry and Draco getting into a fight because of Harry standing up for Ron's "right" to Hr and the truth coming out that way? Please do not let the trio be broken forever that would ruin it. Part of the wonder is the knowledge that maybe someday Harry and Draco could be friends
Author's Response: Wow! Thanks for the great review! I am usually not a D/Hr fan... I am Ron/Hr to the core, but this story stuck with me one day and I just had to write it. Great suggestions by the way. I'll definitely look into those. I actually was thinking about something similar for Ch.14. Thanks again for the review.

Summary: Giving high school essays a Marauder twist, this fiction is centered around the idea that some seniors in high school are require to write a letter to incoming freshman before they graduate. At Hogwarts, Seventh Years are given an assignment to write such a letter for the new First Years. Sirius decides to actually take an assignment, well seriously...sort of. He decides to look back on his entire Hogwarts years and write down his list of things not to do at Hogwarts.

I think it is a wonderful story. I like how your not making it easy for Harry and Ginny to get together. I think having Hermione wake up in Ron's bed was a little over the top though. And I can not wait until you explain what happened to Malfoy's dad. Although if Dumbledore really had approved Malfoy to take the Harry's DA class then either Lupin or Dumbledore would have been there to tell them that. Overall intresting plot line, and fun to read. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Harry doesn't have to let him in. I'm a firm believer in letting kids solve their own problems when they reach a certain age. Dumbledore can't always hang around to say "Now, Harry. Be nice to Draco!"
I'm not JKR, and my target audience is a little older, so I like to imply a little more of my sixteen-year-olds. Although, I never said what did or did not happen- keep that in mind.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading. One of the things that I don't like in a romance is when it's rushed, so I try not to rush mine at all. If it were say, Hermione and Ron, I could see it moving quickly. But with Ginny and Draco, it's going to take a little longer. Plus, I'm usually long winded. ;)
