Note:
I'm sorry to say that I will no longer be continuing to write A Girl Like You. I know that lots of you loved this story, I do too. I started writing it when I was in eighth grade, age thirteen, and I'm sure that if you read it, you can see my writing evolve and grow. As Amelia Jordan, my namesake character, grew and matured, so did I. I love her and all the other characters so much, they're practically my good friends. However, my poor writing towards the beginning of the story has limited me in where I want to take it. Plot points that I wanted to use couldn't because of things I had done early on. I know I could always go back and change things, tweak them around so that they work, but frankly, it's more work than I want to go through. So I've decided to stop writing. To everyone who loved this story and begged for updates, thank you so so so so so so so much!!! You guys are amazing. :)

Since I cut AGLY short, I'd like to share some of the things I had planned for the story.
-At the New Years party, I had written a draft of the most epic snowball fight ever. It was very fun to write, and might be one of my favorite scenes in the story so far.
-During the party, Sirius was going to take Amelia away from the group, they would exchange presents, and then they would finally have their first kiss.
-I wrote a draft to a chapter where Amelia goes to Lily's house. It was really fun to dabble around in the Muggle world.
-After returning to school, with no sign of Leah, Remus would get really depressed. Everyone was pretty down, so the Marauders hosted a "Win a Date With a Marauder" contest to cheer everyone up.
-The magical disease that struck Beauxbatons would strike Hogwarts. My theory behind it was that, after being exposed to the illness, a person doesn't show any symptoms at all until months after.
-My introduction to the disease part was one of my favorite moments, in my head. I never got around to writing it out. Amelia was studying in the library, she hears a noise from one of the rows. She goes to investigates, and finds Hollie passed out. Hollie is the first to fall ill.

I hadn't planned anything past that point.
I'm really sorry to all my readers for doing this, and I hope that you continue to like the chapters I currently have up.

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Featuring: Harry on his never-ending quest to brush his hair, and Voldemort's attempt to stop him. Also featuring: a certain geometry teacher, Charlie Brown, the actual sparkly hairbrush, and much, much more! Other chapters include more random events, and none of them have to do with anything even remotely important. YAY!

I loved it! I could NOT stop laughing! Of all the stories I've read so far on this website, this is no doubt the FUNNIEST, BESTEST, and MOST RANDOM of all! I too, was sad it was over. Definitely write more random stuff, this was SO great!
(please excuse the bad grammer in the word 'bestest' I tend to do that a lot)

Author's Response: Aww, thank you. Though, *laughs* this makes me wonder how many stories you\'ve read on the website. ;-) Hmm... I may write another story someday, though it will need an actual plotline if I\'m to post it on here. I know, uber sad. Oh, and I love your pen name. Tamora Pierce is such a great author (though still not as great as JKR).

This story didn't really seem very interesting to me. I don't know why, but I was kinda dissapointed...
The first one was AWESOME, though. I might not have liked this one as much because I like stories that take place when the characters are at school a little better, but that's just me being starange (as usual) . Great job anyway!!!!!

Revenge is a Dish Best Served to a Weasley by CraftySlytherin

THIS WAS SUPER FUNNY!!!!! I loved Fred's confession, specifically the part about him wanting to live in a pineapple under the sea! This was just as good as the first one, PLEASE WRITE A THIRD ONE!!!! I think you're a great humor writer, and should totally write more humor fics.

Casting Grouch by remus R us

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: What if, all the world's a stage, and the characters of HP fan fiction are actors? This is the story of what happened between 'gigs', when characters meet in the Great Hall to share their complaints about how they're portrayed. Dumbledore has been rooted out of retirement after 'dying', James has doubts about Harry's paternity, Remus rants, and Voldemort does a Gilderoy.

In short, mayhem ensues.

These are not Jo's sterling characters. This group of players has been forced to enact some of the most atrocious parts in fan fiction-dom, and they're all primed and ready for the casting grouch.

But when a house-elf shows up and tells the two that Hogwarts is in danger by Death Eaters and even Voldemort himself, what will happen?

Harry is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher there, but will he finally be able to break the trend of having a new teacher every year?

Will he fight to the death?

Wow...Neville...George...Mr. Malfoy...Draco Malfoy...Harry...that's a lot of people dead. It was still a good story though. I know this sounds cruel, but thanks for killing off Percy. I never did like him much...you did me a favor. LOL.
I really liked how Ron and Hermione named their child Harry.
Also, you must really like Carrie Underwood songs. You've named a bunch of stories after them. I luv Carrie too, she's my favorite.

Author's Response: Thanks... oh, and you\'re welcome for killing off the Perce-man. He\'s not my fav either, he\'s just misunderstood. I just killed him off this time... *growls at self* Thanks for your review! ~Lindsey :)

Author's Response: OOOh, and I LOVE CArrie Underwood! I actually haven\'t been listening toher lately, because I\'ve been stuck on Hilary Duff, but you know how that goes... ~Lindsey :)

Author's Response: Typos are er- fun... *giggles* I apologise.
