Crossing the Board by Seren

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: There have always been arguments over which piece of the board is the most powerful. Most will say the Queen; she can mimic any move, take any square. Others will say the King; despite his limited mobility, the entire point is to protect your king and capture your opponents. It is the center piece of the game. There are any number of arguments for five of the pieces. The last piece, or pieces, are often neglected. They are the front line, the first defence, and the first to fall. All but one. And Ron must see it to the other side.

Great story. I really love chess focused stories that look at Ron's point of view. The bit about touching Hermione and Harry, and the way you inserted the pieces movements was good. Nice job!

Hermione's Scrapbook by Seren

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: There is darkness that envelopes the world. It shrouds us and keeps us from ever seeing even what's in front of our noses. But for every Hitler, Grindelwald, Attila the Hun and Voldemort, Fate gives us a person to light a candle to shatter the darkness. Hermione Granger knows a hero when she sees one. Sometimes, you just have to look a little deeper.

Soo soo beautiful. I loved the way you used historical figures to compare the Order members to. Great job!

The Daughter of Light by Magical Maeve

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: An Irish witch languishes in the darkness of her family home, confined by her father and circumstances. What will it take to bring her out of this exile? The chance to return to Hogwarts? The opportunity to participate in the fight against Voldemort and his Death Eaters? Or will it be Severus Snape, a man she did not expect to see again in her lifetime?

This is canon compliant to OoTP but written pre-HBP.

Reviews and constructive criticism are most welcome, and thanks go to Ashwinder who kindly beta read the chapters for me. :-)

The proposal was totally not what I was expecting! Awesome! and I really really hope that the trip to St Mungo's goes well. I'm so glad Remus has returned, and I hope Severus doesn't feel the need to act completely jealous around him! Great update!

Woah this is going to be interesting with everyone packed into one hallway. And on whose side shall Roderick act for the time being? I love that we know of so many different parties of people running around the house and most of them haven't really banged into eachother. Well written and very interesting!

Author's Response: Thanks, Kerian. It’s hard keeping track of them all at the moment and it’s only a matter of time before they do bump into each other. Won’t that be fun!

I'm so glad for the update! The story is going great. I'm so interested to see how you're going to play out the prophecy with Maeve and Harry working together. And I thought your idea of all three becoming pyschically ill was very good. I have to say that Roderick is definetly my favorite character and I love how we never know what he's going to do next. Great update as always!

Author's Response: Thanks for the reviews, Kerian. I thought it would be interesting to play with the notion that some magic is interconnected and draws people together. As we will see, there is good reason for them all to feel the power of the magic.

Oh I will be completely devastated if Roderick is really dead! Aww... I loved his two-timing, lying, charismatic ways! Hmm so the necklace is most definetly a twist. And who could this visitor be?!?! Aww there must be a lot on poor Harry's mind. Nothing seems to work out for the kid...

Author's Response: I loved his two-timing, lying, charismatic ways too! Bless him. ;-)

I'm eagerly awaiting an update to this amazing story! I hope to see one soon, I really love how you kept all the characters from being one dimensional, youve especially done a great job with Severus. Great work!

Author's Response: Thanks Kerian! Severus has been the character I've most enjoyed, he's fun in his own grumpy way! And it is certainly a challenge to write such a dour character in love....LOL

ahaha! great cliffy! Aww I love it! Those two on a rescue mission together! Poor Harry, his heart really blinds him sometimes, and I'm glad that he took one of his dreams as reality for once! Way to put a twist into this, I should've known that with their luck they couldn't just go to St. Mungo's and back. I especially like the way you're writing Charlie at the moment! A lot of great character development! Great update!

its taken me a few days to read all of the chapters to catch up and I love the story! Its soo good! Harry had better tell about his dream! And I like that Dumbledore makes good and bad choices, after all he is just one man. Great great story and I cant wait to see what happens next!

Whew! I just started your story and I absolutely love it!! I have an obsession with the Marauders and the Lily/ James story line so its nice to find a story that has equal parts of both! Keep up the great writing, I'll definetly keep coming back to check the new chapters!!

Author's Response: Thanks! I have a slightly unheathy obsession with them too, but ah well. *wink* Keep reading and reviewing! And take cookies!

Ouch that is a ruff cliffhanger! I just jumped into the story and I was cruising along until I hit the brick wall.. aka the end of Chapt 9! Wonderfully well written, you should be reallly proud. I like having things from James point of view, I've always found him to be a very interesting character. I look forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Yes, it was, but the next update shall be coming soon, so no worries! Thank you so much hunn! I like having thing's in James's POV too, although I like writing in Lily's more for some reason. Keep reading and reviewing!

The chapter felt a bit short but I liked it. I liked that James trusted Lily to bring her to his place, and I like the idea of the Maruaders stumbling up the stairs one night, only to end up seeing the sun rise.

Rapture: L'Esprits Tortueux by Dana Marie

Rated: Professors •
Summary: On the eve of his Dementor's Kiss, Patrick Essex wrote a letter to his captor: “Your wife will bear you a child – a girl with hair the color of butter, skin the color of milk. A girl whose veins pulse with an unbridled passion. I will leave this place, and I will slaughter her. She will die a death so gruesome that Satan himself will pity her, Gabriel Lee. Of this, you may be certain.” But I refuse to die.

Ahahahah! O my gosh what an awesome ending! ive been reading the entire story chapter by chapter over the last few days and I absolutely loved it! I definetly look forward to the sequel!!

Author's Response: a bad run of the lovely disease 'mono' has slowed me up a bit in writing R2: Agony of Heaven, but I promise it is coming!

This story is amazingly brilliant! I love how we see all the important moments between Lily and James, and the moments never seem to drag on. Its such an original idea to have Lily and James possibly splitting up after school. Its nice because we dont have to panic because we know they'll end up together! Please update soon!
