I became a "PotterManiac" after reading Chapter 12 ('The Mirror of Erised') of "The Philosopher's Stone". I love all the books, but with some strong Veritaserum, I might admit that my favorite books are "Goblet of Fire", "Half-Blood Prince" and "Prisoner of Azkaban" ;).
I am a TOTAL, PROUD 'Harry/Ginny', 'Ron/Hermione' shipper, as you will certainly notice in my FanFic ...
And some of the stories I submitted to MNFF are also posted on Veritaserum (the 'other HP site', not the potion of course *LOL*) under my real name "Patricia" :) :)

We'll just put it this way: Redman has a very colorful character history, but very little of it is shown in this story. This is AWSOME, no less! Your story is wonderful and I totally agree with the similarities between Lily and Ginny. However, I think that Ginny's eyes are brown: in 'COS', Chapter 3 "The Burrow", when Harry went up the stairs to Ron's room, he "caught sight of a pair of BRIGHT BROWN EYES staring at him (...) 'Ginny', said Ron (...)". Hope this could help! :) :)
