I am 15 year old and I come from Lincolnshire. I have been reading *coughs obsessed with * Harry Potter since I was 7 or 8 and I think they are simply amazing and have loved them, like so many others, for all that time!!!!!!!!!! I have never really written a fan fic before but I have been addicted to this site since it began and have read soooooooo many I really thought I should write one too! The Daughter of Light by Magical Maeve
Rated: 1st-2nd Years •Summary: An Irish witch languishes in the darkness of her family home, confined by her father and circumstances. What will it take to bring her out of this exile? The chance to return to Hogwarts? The opportunity to participate in the fight against Voldemort and his Death Eaters? Or will it be Severus Snape, a man she did not expect to see again in her lifetime?
This is canon compliant to OoTP but written pre-HBP.

Date: 05/10/05 Title: Chapter 36: Scorched Souls
These last two chapters were amazing, I forgot to check the site for a little while and I came back to find my FAVOURITE story of all updated, not once but twice, needless to say I was extremely excited! I love the last two chapters, my favourite parts I have to say were the necklace and the awesome and curious power surrounding it, and the ominous departure of Roderick, I am not entirely sure if it was his finale, he is a very slippery, yet endearing, character!
I really loved the description of these chapters, the parts about the mexican stand off, if you will, in the corridor was very climatic, I was permanently on the edge of my seat! Thinking the can't die they can't die, I had to keep rationalising with myself, very enjoyable indeed as a reader! Thanks soo much for updating so quickly and to such an extent, can't wait for the next chapters!
May I ask, will we get to see Maeve's wedding, well read about it I mean, you have such a descriptive skill, I hope you dont end up finishing the story before you let us into your imagination and write how the wedding goes! I know you probs won't answer, but well, one has to try!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing. You will be pleased to know that you will get to see the wedding! I haven't decided whether it will be the epilogue to this or the prologue to the summer holiday story I plan to write. But Maeve is choosing her dress and plans are afoot to book a location...so keep checking back for updates! :-)

That was amazing! It was so good, I loved the exchange between Dumbledore and Maeve it was so sweet, I loved the fact that you didn't go too mushy at the end aswell, I feared you might have some overly fluffy scene about her and Severus which you didnt and it made it a much better fanfiction in it's own right. I love the whole of the story and it seems so long since I first started reading this amazing fic in November, it has been the best fanfiction on the whole of the site, I can't wait for the sequel. The wedding is something which I can't wait to read it should be really good fun. Dumbledore organising it, I wonder if it is completely filled with Muggle sweets and weirdness, it should be a really good read I hope you don't leave it too long before updating writing the next fic. Please put in a note on the first summary when you do and the name of it, I will be watching! Thanks for an amazing, astounding basically fantastic fanfic and giving your readers something really juicy to read, lol! Great story!

I absolutely loved that chapter, this is what makes reading fanfiction worthwhile, these types of fanfictions are simply amazing, the plot is worthy of JKRowling herself, you truly have a brilliant talent and I have to say i truly suspect that you are a professional writer for you to be of this standard and not be is a crime to literature! I love the Sirius/ Maeve plot it is so believable, for Snape to fall in love with someone she would have to be like Maeve, I have read some snape relationship fics which change his character to suit his partner which you have never done, which is brilliant!
I have to say that i simply loved the parts with Roderick in this chapter (basically nearly the whole chapter) his devious character is so interesting, you have built him up so well it is as if he is a canon character; we know so much about him. I love his involvement and I think he is one of the most intriguing characters of your fic! Go you please update soon since i check your fic for updates about 15 times a day! Well done oh great one, lol!
Author's Response: No, not professional… not yet anyway! LOL. I agree, Snape is never going to change to fit a partner…that partner will have to make allowances for Snape. Love is the one thing that keeps these two going when most others would have given up and it’s a love that’s been there for a long time. Maybe one day I will write their past history from before the time of HPDL. Given my lovely Roderick’s popularity I may have to devise a different ending to the one I had planned…but we will have to see. ;-)
