The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Ok, I waited until I read it ALL before I commented, but now I must.
You are bloody, friggin brilliant! I mean, seriously, Malfoy and Hermione unwillingly betrothed and tied together?! That's a plot that would be SERIOUSLY hard to pull off, but you did it and I'm waaaay impressed. This story is well-written, well thought-out, and the characters seem very true to how they actually are in the books.
Many many kudos to you, dahling. I eagerly await the next update.

While I will admit to being a sucker for exactly the type of story you described in your notes (And am actually writing one at the moment) this is a good story so far. I like the simple style, it's easy for dimwits like me to read. ;)

Wow. I must say, This is impressive. The bit where Remus is all "No! I won't give it to her! Hey Lily!" The was funny. That had me rolling. And The twist is brilliantly written.
