Author's Response: I don\'t think he let go of them lightly, somehow. His background is too impoverished for him to be the sort of person who readily leaves things lying about to be stolen. If he left a Potions book about, there\'s something major going on in his head, I think, or that was a second copy (in my head, it\'s the latter.)
