LMAO, this has to be one of the funniest fics I've ever read in the romance section. I was literally cracking up while I read it. Awesome job, and keep writng...can't wait for chapter 4

Up until this point, I haven't yet left you a critical review. I've been meaning to do so, but time has escaped me...so here I am, doing it now! But before I do, I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. I loved the way you described Draco's emotions and I love how you made him push Hermione away, because I was rooting for him to do that all along. He definitely needs a bit of self control. And now, that leads me to the critical part of this review... Like someone said below, you've done a wonderful job handling a difficult plot so far. Rape is a VERY sensitive topic, and having incorporated one rape scene into one of my fics and nearly had to end up deleting the whole thing because of the flames I received from people, I have to say this -- handling a plot centered around the emotions that arise between someone and her rapist is no stroll down the street. For me, when I'm reading the graphic, passionate scenes, I can't help but feel sort of uneasy -- like they don't belong or are unnecessary. The thing is, you started this story with Draco utterly violating Hermione's mind, soul, and body, and when I read about her willingly giving herself up to him six chapters later, I can't help but feel a bit antsy. Perhaps it's because I've been reprimanded more times than I can count for the very same problem -- I "developed a romance too suddenly after she was raped." In some cases, people have told me that they had lost respect in me for even trying to make my two characters fall in love after one of them raped the other. Of course, that's far from what I think about you -- you're a brilliant writer. But I think just seeing it from an outside perspective changes my view of the whole issue of rape a little, because usually authors tend to make connections and explain situations in their head without explicitly communicating them through their stories. But as I said, you're a great writer; you have a way with handling and portraying angst and romance, one that has brought a tear to my eye more than once. Then again, you also have an undeniable talent for writing lust scenes. But I think you could expand on your ability to handle emotions more, and maybe someday try writing a less explicit and passionate fic. Don't do anything to this fic, because I love it and even if you made Draco beat Hermione to near-death and still had her swear her undying love to him, I'd still love it. It's just a suggestion, because I really like the way you write Draco's and Hermione's thoughts and I would love to see something softer and more feelings-based. Anyway, as I said, please don't take this as me bashing your fic in anyway because I really do enjoy it. I'm looking forward to your next chapter :)

Author's Response: wow...that's one really, really, long review. I first thought you were flaming me, which would be sad on my account. Anyway, back to the replying. I thoroughly enjoyed your review. Although my heart kept on racing, hoping such a nice start would not have a horrible, flaming ending, I must say that each word you said really means a lot to me. It's been months since I completed the entire story and I still get goosebumbs about it. A long time ago, I got a really deep review about it, but it got lost when ff.net deleted my account and it feels really good to have someone write about it this thoughtfully. Anyway, you're right. It isn't any "scroll down the street" it's more like walking on fire. I got burned too many times while writing it, but I didn't let go that easily. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first wrote the prologue. But when it just hit me that I'm writing about RAPE, I realized this isn't easy. This was going to be one of the hardest, life-changing things that I would ever write. A lot of people are scared to write about rape, because they fear that they won't be just to it, and would probably offend people. I know I made a huge gamble while doing so, especially when I wrote about Hermione maybe falling in...something, but definately NOT "love". In this fiction, the word "love" is strickly forbidden. It's NOT a love story for anyone who thinks that way (and may be reading this). It's just about the craziness of the human mind. I did a lot of thinking when I wrote this, a lot of research when I begin delving into the fact Hermione was feeling more than drawn to her rapist. The fact that a girl could fall in love with the very same man that violated her is unthinkable, but it does happen, pretty rarely. I do admit that making her jump after him in just after 6 chapters wasn't something I should have done, but the whole story is in 13 chapters and the time frame greater than 6 chapters. It's not 6 days, it's about a few weeks. And I could give out justifications for every move I made, but that would be pointless. Such as this reply. Utterly pointless. I don't even remember what I was rambling on about...Oh, well, I'll just wrap this up, after the next chapter (8), I cut off on the graphic detail and I wrote more about their emotions. I do get a bit repetitive, but that's just to really stamp into the readers mind about what's happening. So basically, yes, dear, I will write more feelings-based. Basically chapters 9-13 is all about their emotions and how they were striving to overcome it :D. And, I do have more stories, by the way, and my writing style changed drastically, (Such as Stranded....5 chapters and not even a kiss between the two. It's killing me, but I want to go slow and see what it's like. ) I no longer write about rape since I exhausted the subject in this one story. But I do appreciate the time you took out to give me this one review. I've seen your name in a lot of places and although I never read your stories, I came to the conclusion you must be a pretty damn good writer, so it makes me proud to have a writer such as yourself leaving me this long review. I wish you gave me this review when I first wrote the story. It would've been very helpful. But since it's been over 8 months since I finished it, I can't do much but simply say thank you.

Oh gosh. I have to say, I don't think I've ever hated any character in a fic as much as I hate Miranda. She's just so...gah. And Ron is so frustrating, he deserves a slap too just for being a incompetant idiot. That cliffhanger at the end of the chapter was pure evil; I can't wait to see what happens to Hannah. 10!

This story sounds promising; it's really well written and moving already. I'm not usually one for H/Hr fics but I'll stick with this one...the one thing that confused me was the switching PoV's, but other than that, awesome job

Really good start...so far, it seems like it should be put in the Dark/Angsty section, but I trust that you'll find a way to turn it into a good romance fic. I can't wait to see where you take it next, update soon :)
