ABOUT ME
Once upon a time, an innocent high school freshman stumbled upon something called fanfiction while browsing MuggleNet's news archive. Having been a fan of the Harry Potter series since the first book was released, she decided to get to know this curious subculture of fandom. One particular Remus/Hermione fic called "Before the Moon Rises" later, she was hooked for life.
Since that fateful day, she has not once considered returning to her relatively normal, fandom-free life. She pays no mind to those who preach strict adherence to canon ships, believing instead that if one examines the slashy undertones of the texts carefully enough, one might find that the sexual chemistry between Harry and Draco is undeniable. Thus, opening people's eyes to the exciting world of HP slash has become her main purpose in life for the moment.
Currently, our heroine is studying psychology and screenwriting at the University of Southern California. She hopes to someday follow in the footsteps of her idol, J.K. Rowling, and become a successful novelist. Until then, she will be content to satiate her love of reading and writing with HP fanfiction.

Good job! First fics can be very hard to write, but yours was pretty good. The only criticism I can give you is that there are a few small errors, such as "your" instead of "you're" or other little mistakes like that. I would suggest reading over your work after you finish, but considering I don't do that either, I wouldn't be in a good place to speak.
Anyway, keep writing :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I'll correct that when submissions are open again. Glad you liked it :)
Very powerful and well-written. I liked it a lot (which is a hard compliment to fish out of me). I'm a bit confused as to what was going on, but other than that, I loved it. Good job!
Author's Response: You're supposed to be confused;) It's only normal. If I could, I'd make this several chapters where I'd explain everything, but alas, I can't. Thanks for your compliments!
Ohh I really like this so far. You've got me interested, I'll be waiting for the next update :)
At last I see what the hype is all about! I've heard a lot about your writing in passing, but I've never actually read a fic of yours. This is incredibly well done, though, and it's one of the first times I've ever enjoyed reading a Snape fic. The idea of him steeling himself for his execution is very moving, and his letter only enhances that. It reminded me a lot of A Tale of Two Cities for some reason. But yeah, wonderful job on this!
Author's Response: Aw, that's so cool of you to say! It took me awhile to discover the possible depth and beauty of Snape, but when I did--thanks to a lot of great writers on this site--I really hoped I'd be able to do him justice. After all the revelations in the last book, he's turned into quite an intriguing character to write about. And I haven't read The Tale of Two Cities, but I'm flattered all the same that my story could remind you of that celebrated work. Thanks so much for reviewing!
One-Shot (for now)
I love this. Draco's love for Hermione is so passionate and deep, and the way you portrayed his hurt and emptiness after she broke it off is perfect. Good job!
i luved it! it was great! ginny and harry are totally like lily andj ames, i never noticed that!! this fic was really cute, good job!
oops sry Annie, i used your account to review....next time logout, lol
Author's Response: Haha good job, Vanessa...
It was full moon when the Dark Lord sealed a part of his soul within a magical amulet, and then broke it in half. One half was left to the faithful werewolves to guard. The other half was tossed into the impenetrable depths of time where no one but him could get it. When the first half has been found, the Order of the Phoenix selects Hermione Granger to go back into the past to search for the missing piece. What is waiting for her is a brutal task that will test her beyond her limits, and an undying love that extends beyond the boundaries of time.
RL/HG, Post-HBP
No werewolves were harmed in the making of this story.
Update (9 May): Chapter 17, Burning, is up! Enjoy!
I really like this so far. You write extremely well and that, plus the fact that this is a Hermione/Remus fic (a ship not found very often), makes this fic a rare pleasure. I look forward to reading the next chapter.
Author's Response: Oh, thanks so much for your very thoughtful review! :)
Oh, that was utterly adorable! I loved it. I usually shy away from R/Hr stories because they ship isn't to my liking, but this was very cute and fluffy...just what I needed to brighten up my day :) Fantastic job!
Author's Response: Yes! Fluffiness galore! (And not a little bit of cheese, to boot, eh?) Thanks for reviewing and Happy Holidays!
Oooh, this is beautiful! It takes real talent to write a fic without having a solid plot or dialogue to rely on. You did a wonderful job describing Remus' grief and his feelings towards Sirius. Great work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I decided to write this as a journal entry, rather than a full plot-driven story, to really bring out the feelings of losing someone. I am so glad you liked it.
Wow, this fic was very beautiful. I loved it!
Yayyyyy, your story got put up! Anyway, I usually don't give constructive reviews, and I think I've already told you what I think. I just wanted to be the first to review :P
YAY, first reviewer again. anyway, i'm proud to have beta'd this fic. i love your characterisation of slughorn, and remus is freaking adorable. i can't wait to read the next chapter.
amyyyyy congrats on winning second place :D *will start going around and bragging about getting to beta this story*
Ah, the writing here is just superb. You provided just enough background info to satisfy the reader and, more importantly, focused on the moment at hand with such amazing detail. I love this ship, but it's hard to find good Ginny/Draco fics out there. Thank you for writing one!
Author's Response: *huggles*
No, thank you for the simply lovely review! I just had a crappy day and came to see this and so -- thank you!
*squee* I love, love, LOVE this fic! It was short, sweet, and to the point. You have a great writing style and Draco and Harry were both amazingly IC for a D/H fic. Adding this one to my faves.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks for the fav! And thanks for reviewing, I\'m glad you liked it!
Wow, very beautifully written. The imagery was stunning, and you portrayed Salazar's feelings perfect. I've always been rather fond of Salazar/Godric, but I haven't read very many fics based on that ship. I enjoyed yours, though :)
Author's Response: Ah, thank you! Yes, S/G has been my One True Pairing for almost five years now, and I still get a thrill when I find another story about them out there, as they're so few and far between. If you have trouble finding stories about them, I can point you towards some necessary links sometime. :]
It's a shame Sirius/James isn't one of the more popular ships, because I don't think this fic has gotten the recognition it deserves. I *loved* it. You write so beautifully, and Sirius's emotions were painfully real. Great job :)
Very nice. You write well, and the flow of the story is excellent. The bit with Remus in the prologue was especially touching, as was Ambrine's explanation for her happiest memory. I like how you went along with the theme of family being the most important thing to us that JKR emphasises in the HP series.
The only criticism I have to give is that there were a few minor errors in the prologue, but I think those were all typos you missed. Also, I'm curious -- how old was Harry when he defeated Voldemort? Because you refer to him as a boy in the prologue, but in the fic, Ambrine says she was four years old at the end of the war, which means that the war must've lasted at least five years old and that Lavender and Dean must have been REALLY young when they had Ambrine.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! :)
As for their ages, I\'d say Harry and Co. we\'re about twenty-one when Harry defeater Voldemort. At that time, Ambrine was about a year old. However, even after Harry defeated Voldemort, there were still Death Eaters to be taken care of. Dean was a member of the Order and he was helping to round up the remaining Death Eaters even three years after Harry defeated Voldemort. Harry came out of hiding two years later.
*whispers* Or I could have just had a continuity error. *blushes*
Either way, I hope that was a satisfactory explanation. :D
Thanks for the review.
