I'm 16, and from America (unfortunately). I love math and German and writing.

Favorite HP characters: Sirius, Draco, Oliver Wood, Fred and George, Ginny, Bellatrix, Tonks, Remus, Moody

Favorite Ships:
Ron/Hermione (they're so perfect for each other, even if I can't write them *tear*), Draco/Ginny (My absolute favorite ship!! Read A Tale of Two Matchmakers if you haven't. Honestly, you need to. Go. Now.), Remus/Tonks, Sirius/Lily, and Sirius/Ginny (Honestly! If it weren't for the creepy age difference thing, they'd be perfect for each other!)

And pretty much anything else well written... except slash.

Favorite Non-HP books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Gone With the Wind, Watership Down, and Dune

Favorite TV shows: Gilmore Girls, and a whole bunch of really old shows no one's ever heard of

******
My friends and I wrote a really hilarious humor fic that everyone should read! But, the thing is, MNFF won't accept it because it's too ooc. But if you ever want to read a really good humor fic, I know you'll love it. It's called "No One in Their Right Mind..." Here's the link: http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com/viewstory.php?psid=221997

Oh, and here's the summary:

After the semi-final battle, Voldemort makes a life-changing decision.

“I’m tired of trying to take over the goofy Brits,” Voldemort said. “Let’s go to Canadia. And once we get there I can take over America – I’ve been wanting it since I was a small and underappreciated child of amazing talent anyway.”

As might be expected, hilarity ensues.

And I accept anonymous reviews, so if you like it, you can tell me!!

Candide was an awesome satire...

Yeah, I think being Peter's girlfriend is in fact worse than death, but that's just me...

~Alison

Author's Response: I can\'t see the relationship lasting when he started being ultra sneaky, acting double agent against the Order, but for the rest of seventh year he\'ll have a measure of happiness, and even rats like Peter can fall in love.

Author's Response: Or, if not love, like, hehheh.

A wonderful chapter..I love the conversation at the beginning that James has with his parents. I love the line: “Oh James!” she said, “This is more than a dinner. This is S.P.A.M. in action!” It made me laugh so hard–it gives quite a strange mental picture ^_^

And the whole pirate dream thing was wonderful. I love all the PotC quotes!!

~Alison

Author's Response: Did you have a can with an image of compressed meat product flash into your head? :D I did, heehee.

I do think Sirius has a bit in common with Cap\'n Jack--Will, too, because although he may be charming with a Black, Slytherin streak in his nature, Sirius is like Will, loyal and bold, with a touch of Destiny, Sigh.

Promise of a Spring Moon by Kerichi

Summary:

April showers bring May...hassles? Bridesmaid blues and big trouble from small favours complicate Tonks' life when all she wants is to bring her love for Remus into full bloom.

Amazing. I've read other Lupin/Tonks fics but I have to say that yours are the best. Anyone who can manage to make Remus seem almost as sexy as Sirius (though in a completely different way) has to be an awesome writer.

*Off to read Moonlight and Shadow*

~Alison

Author's Response: There are two one shots, Butterfly Summer (their \'honeymoon\') and Three for the Road that transition from this story to the next if you get time to read.

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment of reading this one!

I think Remus is just as sexy, but like you said, in a completely different way. ^_~

Dumbledore as a senior sex symbol... rotfl

And I never thought it was possible for you to put even more Princess Bride stuff in a fic, but you proved me wrong, lol.

I wish I could spend all day reading this, but unfortunately I have exams tomorrow *tear*

~Alison

Author's Response: Ask your Gran...she probably thought Richard Harris was very attractive, LOL. Michael Gambon doesn\'t have that same twinkle in the eye, smile in the voice, imho. Bet Grans across the world sit in theaters and think the \'new Dumbledore\' isn\'t half as appealing as the old one, hehheh.

I know you\'ll do well on your exams, because you\'re obviously highly intelligent, and have excellent taste in reading! ;)

It Matches Your Eyes by bittersweet_lullaby

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: I met her on the train ride to Hogwarts. We both got sorted into Hufflepuff, we take all the same classes, and we're best friends. But I've started to feel a little more for Hannah Abbott.

Two friends, both female. One life-changing infatuation that quickly turns to the greatest thing in the world: love. Susan Bones reflects on her life and explores the what-ifs of her relationship with Hannah Abbott.
Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 12/30/08 Title: Chapter 1: One-Shot

It's refreshing to see a slash fic without a lot of internal angst by the main character because they don't want to be gay or something. It's nice to see such a sweet pairing.

I love the way you write Susan's feelings. I think it seems like a very realistic way for her to feel in this situation.

She taught me to laugh. She taught me to love. She taught me to see colors and she taught me to smile.

I loved this line. It was probably my favourite.

I love the story about the necklace. The way you write the two girls seems like a natural friendship.

I really feel bad that Susan always has to hide her feelings.

"Hannah - " I blurt out. I blush even harder. "Never mind." I can't believe I almost told her.

I wonder what happens in the end. Does she ever tell Hannah? I kind of doubt it, which really is very sad. But this was beautifully written all the same.

I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face by Kerichi

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

“I’ve grown accustomed to her face…” is the line from ‘My Fair Lady’ that inspired, being proof that snarky and romantic are not a contradiction in terms.

Fatal Remorse by Periwinkle

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Rodolphus has fled into the safety of a secluded hut in the edge of the forest, to escape the Death Eaters, but all in vain. Bella finds him and has been ordered by Voldemort to kill him. Will she do it?

How does Rodolphus feel about all this?
Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 06/09/08 Title: Chapter 1: 1

Can I please steal your imagery skills? Because I've rarely read anything that I could visualise as much as this fic. I could see Rodolphus, exactly as he was sitting there (even though the way you describe him is nothing like how I have always imagined him). The fist paragraph really pulled me in, and I don't think I could have stopped reading after it if I tried.

Rodolphus is practically an OC for how little he's in the books, but the way you portray him here is exactly how I have always thought of him. I especially love how much we find out about his personality just through the description of his eyes:

His eyes were a piercing blue; intricate patterns laced the iris. Once the onlooker got pass the initial shock, they noted that the eyes seemed a hundred years older than the rest of the body.

You have to feel terrible for Rodolphus after all of this. Deeply in love with his wife, who comes only to kill him.

Bella is of course written perfectly, with her insanity and devotion to the Dark Lord. I especially like the way you make her speak. Her dialogue sounds so formal, with very few contractions — which is very Bella.

It's such a plausible plot — so simple but so believable. One thing is that I wish you had told us more about Rodolphus taking the locket and maybe that he was trying to redeem himself or something. A little more background would have been good, but not too much, because I love the mysterious air of this fic.

Rodolphus's emotions are perfect. My favourite part:

He had spent his whole life killing others, being spiteful, cruel and selfish. Did he regret that? Would he have chosen another career if given the chance?

Yes.

Death Eaters are people, too, especially Rodolphus. Even Bella:

For an infinite moment, he thought he saw a change pass over her face. He wondered if he had really seen a drop of regret on her features or if it was only a figment of his imagination.

I love that you give even Bella that moment of hesitation — this is her husband, after all. She spent time with him, maybe even loved him before she had met Voldemort, and I think she would have that split-second of hesitation.

This is a nearly perfect fic, and it's definitely going on my favourites.

A Death Eater's Bedtime Story by Sly Severus

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A father tells his young son a familar story. A story that has become the boy's favorite. It is the story of the Dark Lord and the evil Harry Potter.
Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 05/19/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

wow that was really good. It kind of makes you see things from the other side. I think this probably would have been how the Death Eaters would have 'educated' their children. Very well written, and good job.

Author's Response: Thanks so much. It was inspired by the PS movie, when McGongall said every child in their world would know Harry\'s name. I wondered how the children of Death Eaters would feel about him, so this story was born.

I\'m really glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the review!

Goodbye Rose by takefourmoments

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed

So haunting. I love Bellatrix and Rodolphus, and I was pleased to see you portraying Rodolphus in the same way I do — I thought I was the only one! Anyway, I'm glad you made her in love with Voldemort, because it seems to me like it was so obvious she was, but some people refuse to deny it. Anyway, sorry for the rambling. It was a beautiful fic, and I love your descriptions!

Butterfly Summer by Kerichi

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

I have but two things to say:

First, it's about time!

And second, It was fully worth the wait ^_^

~Alison

Author's Response: Everyone has issues to resolve before they can give themselves fully to another person, and I\'m with you, it was about time Tonks resolved hers! Thanks for saying it was worth the wait. *hugs*

Three for the Road by Kerichi

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

It does make me want to read the next one!!!

But, it will be hard for you to write Sirius dying (if you haven't already). I can't even imagine. I just realized it has to happen, and it kind of made me depressed... *tear* Sirius is my favorite character.

~Alison

Author's Response: This week\'s chapter (29) is the Sirius-through-the-veil chapter, and I cried writing it. *tear*

Moonlight and Shadow by Kerichi

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

Tonks' world has fallen into shadow. Voldemort has returned, the Order of the Phoenix has risen, and Sirius is slowly drowning in memories and Firewhisky. Tonks needs more than determination to fight the darkness. She needs Remus.

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 05/24/07 Title: Chapter 10: Family of Shadow

I love Tonks' Draco/Ginny train of thought:

Weirdly, Ginny Weasley's face popped into mind. I almost laughed aloud. Molly wouldn't thank me for pink-haired grandbabies. I shrugged off the freakish matchmaking idea and quickened my stride.

I feel so bad for Narcissa and Draco!

It never fails to make me laugh when I think of what Harry would do if he knew about Sirius and Cami or Remus and Tonks... The look on his face!! ^_~

~Alison

Author's Response: There\'s an old song that goes, \'it was just my imagination, once again, running away with me\' that describes my D/G references from time to time. I\'m being good, keeping to canon, even if I wish canon wasn\'t H/G. :D

Harry\'s jaw would drop. Those old guys? With hot girlfriends? Having you-know-what? Inconceivable! LOL

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed

I can't believe he's gone! That was so well written, and so sad... My parents will think I'm crazy when they see my crying while on the computer...

~Alison

Author's Response: Thank you for that! Tell them you\'ll cheer up if they take you to see PotC3, unless you already have, and in that case you need chocolate, cash, and a trip to the mall.

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 06/08/07 Title: Chapter 31: Realms of Shadow

This chapter was so well-written. It's all about the emotions, which you wrote in a very really way. The message on the sampler was scary/moving/straight to the point

I can't believe this is the last chapter! Thank God for the sequel.

~Alison

Author's Response: Straight to the point, but it sucks for the people left behind, missing the one who has moved on! Sigh. I\'m really looking forward to the next story, where emotions complicate both their missions!

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 06/01/07 Title: Chapter 30: In Sirius' Shadow

That's so sad! Poor Cami...will she ever realize he won't be coming back?

~Alison

Author's Response: Is it wrong for a writer to leave a character in limbo, hoping, until the writer she\'s basing her stories off of publishes the book that will decide once and for all if Sirius comes back?

If it\'s wrong, like the song says, I don\'t want to be right!

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 05/25/07 Title: Chapter 23: Light in Shadow

You couldn't resist putting a pink-haired baby reference in there could you ^_^

Poor Cami is going to go crazy when Sirius dies...

~Alison

Author's Response: I\'ve written a Cami pov poem that has her outlook. Return to MeShe\'s not going to accept that he\'s gone and won\'t return for a long time.

Reviewer: R_Ravenclaw Signed
Date: 05/24/07 Title: Chapter 5: Shadow Puppets

I can just see Tonks and Ginny being friends for life, can't you? It's weird reading this fic and realizing that Draco and Ginny won't be getting together...It's kind of sad, even though I do ship Harry/Ginny

Anyway a really good chapter, and I can see Molly sending her patronus to hunt down her kids, LOL

~Alison

Author's Response: This is just one dimension of the Potterverse, which cheers me up, since I know that in many others, D/G do get together! After I wrote the second one shot that followed the Sirius/Rosmerta fic Semi Charmed Life, I told readers who wanted to find out Rosmerta\'s reaction to the veil that there wouldn\'t be one, since as far as I was concerned, the story went AU from that moment on, Sirius stayed on Flores with Rosmerta and Buckbeak after PoA, and didn\'t leave until Harry came to see him after Voldemort was killed, and he became a free man. (in that dimension of the Potterverse!)

That was so cute! It's beyond be how you can make a story about half giants cute, but I guess that's just another one of your amazing talents ^_^

Author's Response: Aw, Alison, you\'re the best, making my day by reading my stories! Thank you!
