Oi! You there! Read my stuff, will you?
I thought I'd advertise Social Loner's amazing bannermaking skills and my latest poem. Behold!
Come on then, what are you waiting for?
I'm not sure if I've already reviewed this, but it deserves another.
It's so amazing, this fic. I wish I could write like you. The delicate phrasing, the slow, deliberate steps it takes to the breathtaking finish. It doesn't seem to have any real purpose until the end- and then you realise it has all the purpose in the world.
I'm choked up, man. I've been reading so much D/A and just sad stuff that I'm hurting. But it feels so good. I just hope you know how great of a writer you are.
Ooh... so... awful. Not your story. Just what happened.
Incredibally intriguing. Well done.
Ooh, that was cool. Shows a side of Lucius that we don't usually expect or perceive. Well done.
OOH! Intense, man! I'd been waiting for an update for, like, forever!
Th-ank you!
Author's Response: Well, I\'m glad you\'re still with me! I\'m hoping to get the final chapter out soon, but I\'ve been hoping that since August, so keep your fingers crossed. Thanks for reviewing!
Oh, so beautiful. So breathtakingly beautiful.
Wow. This is a marvellous portrait of Ginny- a fantastic piece of character study. Gently, she progresses, internally monolouging in a clear way along a definite path that begins quite simply with a joy for flying. She goes from mourning to angry to accepting to hopeful smoothly and comfortably.
My only complaints would be that it's a tad ranty. The thing just goes on and on, and I'm not sure as a reader that it's all necessary or relevant. Charlie's arrival is abbrupt and random (in my opinion, although that might have been the affect you were looking for as the author) and only chops the story.
The ending is powerful, though, and more than compensates for the slow middle. Ginny (who is very in-character, might I add) makes a powerful desicion
(Sorry, my finger slipped and hit the submit button. *cough* Carrying on.)

Ginny (who is very in-character) makes a powerful decision to not allow Tom a hold over her life. I smiled at the last line: it was rather touching.
I liked this fic a lot. It's not the sort of thing I'd usually read, but it was a pleasant surprise, I suppose.
:D I sound so incredibally formal.
Oh, one more thing- your comparison of Ginny to a firecracker is cool and fitting.
Tah!

I'm back again, this time with glowing praise!
Okay, so this is how much of a freak I am: I've written fanfiction for your fanfiction. It was pretty terrible, couldn't compare to this fic at all. It was like Book 7 to me, this fic, before DH. Now it's my alternate DH, that I've reread about as much as the actual book.
Woah, that was uncharacteristic of me. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: bwahahaha! Well, I\'m glad I\'m not the only one writing fanfic on my fanfic (someday maybe I\'ll post the lost chapters about Sirus and Igraine, Tura and Draco, etc. etc.) But where can I read it??
Back again, dear Fawkes. This time, I just want to say: don't kill yourself, but don't kill us either.
Author's Response: Trying, trying...37 is turning out to be SUCH a bear.
Awww!!!! I sound like an idiot, with my drawn out words and excessive punctuation, but it's true!
You once again played up the marvelous storytelling device of Legillimency. Umbridge- she nasty! Who'da thunk it?
Harry finally realising he was in for it was good. Truth be told, I was a bit miffed my the lack of Harry 'ZOMG I'M GONNA DIE! Oh, well!- liness in this story, but this chapter made up for it. Especially the 'these last 16 years have just been a bonus' line. Ooh, and when he Vanished the postscript on his letter. So like Harry.
*is on tenterhooks*
I think I'll reread it. ;)
Author's Response: It was fun to give Umbridge\'s nastiness toward Trelawney a historical basis. I was going to wrap up the chapter a whole different way, but I was really pleased with the Angst Moment there. I think it worked.
-After rereading, Stubby gently wipes a 'tear' from her eye. The screen glows gently.-
*clapping*
Stubby (choked-up): Well done, well done! Brava!
Author's Response: *bows* Thanks!
Well, I hope everything's okay with you. I've been bored and rereading old favourite fanfics and books, and of course 'Heirs' was on the list. Here's to everything clearing up on your end and to a great fanfiction!

Author's Response: Heh, things have been great, but I\'ve been too busy to work on 43 in a week! I had to go help pull a horse\'s tooth, and my $30k in grants got approved, I had to upgrade my website\'s forum to a new version and it took 3 days of tinkering, and my friend Stan Love is on the bleeping Space Shuttle right now--so I\'ve been a little distracted!!
But once 43 is done it\'ll all roll out fast.
I was looking through older chaptesr to find one to review as... er- compensation for the one I left on CH 36 (and I've been rereading), and I picked this one.
Your characterization is flawless. Snake!Harry is wonderful, so creepy and sumblime. I love how you make him feel so many emotions so simply and elegantly. Ondossi was great too, shoving the love and compassion back into his head.
I especially like when, at the end, Harry and Tura are arguing over how expensive the coat she got him was, and she says, "It's nothing! It's yours. Be gracious, Mr. Here, Lupin, You Can Have My House."
Wow. Really sums it up. Need I say more.
Thanks for being such a great author, and keep up the good work.
Author's Response: *blush* Thanks! I feel so appreciated!
Aha! The plot thickens!
That was siriusly intense, man. The memory was all creepy, and... yeah. Awesome chapter. Near the end, I was on tenterhooks. I was thinking Snape or Dumbledore, Snape or Dumbledoor, but then bam- Dumbledore!
I can only imagine how angry Harry is going to get at him.
Ooh, in DH, they defininately did revisit this.
Also, this chapter wasn't two months after the last one! Congrats!

Author's Response: OMG, tell me it wasn\'t Dumbles in DH...!
egad, I gotta finish Heirs so I can read that.
Woah, I just realised something- since when is Neville pretty much an operating member of the Order? I've reread so much, so I don't think I just missed it, but... huh?
Author's Response: Hmmmm... good point! Well, except he was in dumbledore\'s Army and fought beside Sirius in the Ministry in Book 5...so he\'s definitely part of the \"in\" crowd as far as that secret goes. Ron and Herms were never really formally inducted either, they just sort of were in by default.
ARGH! I'm going to commit sepeku. Isn't that a lovely word? It's the honorable suicide of a samuari. 'Cause right now, I'm... gah!
I've thought of so many theories/endings for this fic, one of them is bound to happen....
Author's Response: Yeah, me too. As soon as I figure it out, you\'ll know...
AHA!
'Twas great! Truly great. Alice's POV was well done, and you handled the whole 'traitor' business quite marvelously. Jumped for a bit, so I had to realise we had just moved, but wasn't *that* hard to follow....
:) Can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Thanks! I liked how it turned out, too. I was hoping there\'d be a way to help out the Longbottoms, and it just sorta came up.
-puts on false mustache and glasses-
UPDATE, FOR THE LOVE OF MERLIN!
Godric. My best friend Ugly Phil and I are avid readers of this wonderful fic, but lately we've been getting irritated by the lack of updateliness. I suppose are part of a non-profit, but still....
-runs-
Author's Response: Trying...I\'ve been working on later chapters but 37 is just stubborn.
Aw... it's finally over. It's been so long! I can remember last year, getting up early and reading this before I headed off into the day. Arguing with my friend about it. Theorising. Waiting and waiting during that drought of updates.
Thanks for writing a fic that's helped bridge the gap for me: first, from HBP to DH, and then after, from DH into the future. I've enjoyed it nearly as much as DH (the only thing against it is that you're not Jo, sorry); I've probably reread it as much.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tale. Thanks again.
(I think I'll order one of those books.)
-Stubby
Author's Response: Thanks! Cool! I\'m glad you enjoyed it so much! Well, if you want to order one, I just figured out the costs, so send me a PM or an email and I\'ll get you the info. I hope to put in the print order in 2 weeks.
