I'm Jan, I live in the North of England with my lovely family. I spend my spare time reading and writing. And then any other spare time I spend online! I was a moderator here at MNFF and have been known to beta read occasionally!. Currently loving the new FB franchise and loving Hamilton!
I have one novel-length fic up (The Daughter of Light) and am currently working on its sequel, The Severed Souls. It wasn't supposed to be about my OC and Snape, but they ended up taking over! I've also got a few one-shots up and copious amounts of poetry.

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: This was written as an assignment for the Beta Forum's spring term. It is based on the Irish myth Dierdre of the Sorrows but with Rowena Ravenclaw the one being prophesied about. It is retold in the mythic style, without great detail but as a plot driven piece of writing.

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •Summary: Another birthday, another present from his mother, and another year gone. Severus Snape would like birthdays to be cancelled, or at least put into a large void that was a million miles away from him.
This is AU and based on the characters that I created for Snape in Daughter of Light. That fiction was written before HBP so I had to create Snape's family. Unsurprisingly, Jo had different ideas to me. ;-)

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •Summary: This is set in the Founders Era and follows Rowena Ravenclaw as she is shown her destiny by several strange visitors to her village. She discovers her magical ancestry and meets her fellow Founders. This includes much mention of Irish Mythology and the Sidhe. There is a little Yule magic and hints at romance.
Written for Celestial Melody for Ravenclaw House's Secret Santa exchange. Her wonderful prompt asked for a Founder, fairies and imagery.

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •Summary: An Irish witch languishes in the darkness of her family home, confined by her father and circumstances. What will it take to bring her out of this exile? The chance to return to Hogwarts? The opportunity to participate in the fight against Voldemort and his Death Eaters? Or will it be Severus Snape, a man she did not expect to see again in her lifetime?
This is canon compliant to OoTP but written pre-HBP.
