I am a card-carrying member of WCAWLHPTM (Women of a "Certain Age" Who Love Harry Potter Too Much) though I have only recently discovered fanfics and am in the process of writing my first (The Letter). Although a writer by trade, I have only published non-fiction, but am interested in breaking into fiction and am trying to develop my fiction-writing skills. I am the mother of a grown son who is a pilot for Sky West Airlines, and am owned by two dogs, a Westie (Charlie) and a Sheltie (Belle). I'm also an editor and political activitist with a strong interest in history and current events. My hobbies include gardening, dog walking, and reading, especially biography, mysteries, well-written (i.e., not too fluffy) romances, and of course the Harry Potter books.
