That's the way I feel about fanfiction... Sigh. It's my favorite line of DH; I was so happy to hear it in the final movie.

So, I'm no longer in high school, which means my penname is rather outdated. Nevertheless, freshman year will always be a special time for me because that's when I started here at MNFF. ;D I now attend the American Academy of Art in downtown Chicago, and I major in illustration.

I love Harry Potter and decided in freshman year of high school (hence the penname) to start a story. I'm incredibly flattered that the story has been accepted the way it has, and it warms my heart to read the reviews. (And yes- I know that sounded chessy. :D) I also have an account at Fanfiction.com, under the penname: Io.sono.Emilia., on which I've posted this story also. So before you accuse me of stealing a story....

Read the stories; maybe you'll get something about me out of them.

Thanks to all of you for sticking around! Maybe one day in the future I'll start working on a brief epilogue, or even a few sequels and one-shots based on other characters. Life's been a bit hectic, but I'll return to it one day... I had fun while it lasted. :D Thanks again!

A Few Detentions and A Story by LaneTechFreshie

Summary: James Potter: Marauder. Lily Evans: Prefect. They're both seventh years at Hogwarts. They're also about to have a pretty interesting year--complete with a few detentions, pranks, confusion, and laughter--in which they get through school, make some trouble and maybe, just maybe, sort out their feelings for each other.

Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!

Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)

Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
And yes, this story is up on Fanficition.net under the penname: Io.Sono.Emilia.
Of course, as a disclaimer, I’m not JK Rowling. The Potterverse does not belong to me, but I am in it and love it.

Summary: Harry had been talked into going back to Hogwarts for his last year, and yet, throughout it, he had been leaving the school very frequently to do as Dumbledore wished. It is here, in a small glen that the fate to the Wizarding world is brought foward. Since neither can live while the other survives, who will be the one to stand up? This is my imagining of the last chapter of the seventh book. HBP spoiler, but really, everyone on this site should have read it by now.
