I've been a Harry Potter fan since the first movie came out. It took two of my best friends, my favorite math teacher, and the movie to persuade me to read the series. I'm so glad that I did. Since then, I've enjoyed reading, re-reading, and analyzing the series (with MuggleCast, & as an English major). I've gotten a chance to be part of this amazing fandom, made friends, and wonderful experiences that I'll never forget. I've graduated college last year in December, and trying to figure out what to do as a career. No matter what happens, I know that I'll will always be part of the Harry Potter fandom, love the series, and hope to share it some day with my own kids. I also can't wait to read J. K. Rowling's new book, and anything else she ends up publishing. According to Pottermore, I'm a Ravenclaw. I think it's fitting because I love learning, finding knowledge, reading, the color blue (& purple) and cupcakes. On my free time, I love photography and writing. Besides reading, I love watching movies (action/adventure, romance, scifi/fantasy, inspiring, etc.) and watching tv shows (Castle, Fringe, Bones, Unforgettable, Body of Proof, Cupcake Wars, etc.). Though music, and reading are a big part of my life... my friends & family are very important to me.

Magic Beyond The Seams by christyvourcos

Summary: This is a poem I wrote originally to describe my experience at Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida during Infinitus 2010. Through my creative writing course in college (for my English major), I received some comments about it and made the poem towards my experience of the series & the fandom. As soon as I registered for Alohomora, I noticed there was a section for submissions and my first thought was to share this poem.
