Hello, I'm Hermione_Rocks, though you may call me Anna, or D.E, or Mrs. Snape . . . whatever flies your kite. I'm a high school student who is hopelessly obsessed with many things, such as Harry Potter, musicals (current favorite is Sweeney Todd), books/reading, various Internet web-sites, and food.

As you can probably tell, I have an incurable love for writing fan-fiction. Would I do better to be working on original fiction? Probably. But at the moment, I just want to have fun with writing. One day I hope to be published, but I'm really not in any rush. Right now, I just want to enjoy all this. :)

I hope you find something you'd like to read while you're here, and please leave a review to let me know your thoughts. I'm always looking for feedback, good or bad.

The Lies of Laughter by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Bellatrix rejoices after she murders Sirius. Yet the curious fact remains that Bellatrix murdered her hated cousin not with the green killing curse, but a strange red flash. Appearances, choices, and morality are never black-or-white, not even within the notoriously immoral soul of Bellatrix Lestrange.

Christmas Lights by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Hermione is home for the Christmas holidays. On her way home from buying chestnuts, she runs into the last person she ever expected to see in her Muggle neighborhood. Mild Draco/Hermione.

Hands To Build A House by Hermione_Rocks, HorcruxHunter14

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It’s been more than a year since the downfall of Lord Voldemort, and the wizarding world has begun to try and rebuild what was damaged during the war. Despite this, Harry Potter begins to feel that -- no matter how much repairing and restoring he does for the magical community -- he is unable to patch up what is still broken in his own life. He quickly decides that the only way to do this is to builld himself a house.

For All Time by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Things never change. At least, they never change in any way that really matters.

The Gray Lady, having drifted the Earth for over a thousand years, has seen all of life there is to see. Thus, when Hogwarts hosts a winter ball, she does not think it will be any different from the countless other balls that have taken place at the school over the years.

Winner of the Winter Snows' Melting A Winter Heart challenge.

Stained With Blood by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: "The death of a human is never solely for one reason. We are all dying for various reasons, even we who are still presently alive. It is a build up of reasons, accumulating over time and eventually becoming too many, that kill us, not any one thing."

Over a decade after he vowed to never go back to Hogwarts, Salazar Slytherin returns to the school he helped to found. He had intended to only say a brief good-bye to his deceased friend, but his visit becomes prolonged as he becomes ensnared with solving how she died in the first place . . .

I am Hermione_Rocks of Slytherin, and this is my entry for the seventh round of the Gauntlet.

Note: the warnings of Character Death and Strong Profanity are just to be safe.

Things Lost In The Fire by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Perhaps Dolores Umbridge didn't just take Moody's eye and stick it on her door because she wanted to spy on her employees. Perhaps Dolores Umbridge wasn't just wearing Salazar's locket because she relished the feeling of power the Horcrux instilled in her. Perhaps there is more to this woman's story than what it might first appear to be.

This is a story of differences, similarities, and love -- a story that goes beyond what the eye can see.

Why A Mother Lives by Hermione_Rocks, Phia Phoenix

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A great man’s greatest good luck is to die at the right time. ~Eric Hoffer

Some people are given this luck, and others have it snatched away from them. There's no way to tell who will be rewarded with the luck either. Even if you are giving life everything you have, even when you are living for the very same reasons as someone else, your experiences can be vastly different.

Kendra Dumbledore. Molly Weasley. They lived for the same thing, yet their lives -- and deaths -- were entirely different.

For the August One-Shot Challenge, Inter-House Co-op. Written by Phia Phoenix of Ravenclaw, and Hermione_Rocks of Slytherin.

Holding What Can't Be Held by Hermione_Rocks, HorcruxHunter14

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore are both searching for something they believe with benefit their present situations. But sometimes we don't always know what we're looking for until it's too late.

Written by HorcruxHunter14 and Hermione_Rocks, both of Slytherin House, for the sixth run of the Gauntlet.

Mint Versus Mistletoe by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Often, when we do something, we have an intention behind the action. We usually finish the action with rather different intentions, however. Bellatrix learns this lesson one evening when she goes to visit Severus at his home in Spinner's End.

Meaningful by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: She knows that it’s silly, the way that she feels about him. She knows that he’ll never feel the same way about her. She knows that she’s married, and shouldn’t feel this way about him in the first place. She knows that nothing will ever come from her feeling this way.

But she also knows that she is already completely in love with him, and that there is nothing to be done about it at this point. It just is.

Bellatrix contemplates love and flowers. Written originally for the awesome Dark Lady Z, during a Slytherin Sneaky Cupid exchange.

Adversus Solem Ne Loquito by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Severus Snape goes back in time with one mission: to kill his younger self. The reason? So Lily Evans can live the life that she deserves. Because if he were dead, if he had never told Lord Voldemort the prophecy, then she would still be alive.

I am Hermione_Rocks of Slytherin House, writing for the fifth round of the Gauntlet.

Adversus Solem Ne Loquito is Latin for: Don’t speak against the sun.

Curriculum Vitae by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Ever since the war ended, Theodore Nott has found little solace in anything, save for his Firewhiskey purchases. Due to happenings and circumstances, he runs into the most unlikely people and places, ones that may just be able to help him as he trundles along through life.

This is a story of pain, loss, regret, bitterness. This is a story of joy, laughter, forgiveness, hope. It's a story of second glances, second considerations, second chances. And first chances too. Curriculum Vitae is Latin for: The course of one’s life.

This story was the overall winner of the '07/'08 Winter Tales Challenge. It also took the 2009 QSQ award for Best Post-Hogwarts Chaptered story. I am as stunned as I am grateful. Thank you.

The Doe In Severus by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lily is getting married to James Potter tomorrow. Severus knows he only has one more chance to reach her before she's gone for good.

Forever And Always by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Weddings are joyous events, celebrating the joining of two individuals into a new, united life. But what if the individual are already joined? And what if these individuals who are already bonded in some undefinable way, what if they are not being wed to each other?

Yet another one-shot on the relationship between Lucius Malfoy and Andromeda Black.

As I Run by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Running,

Racing,

Escaping,

But my true pursuer I cannot hide from.

A poem I wrote based on my fic, When You're Gone. This poem can be read independently of the story, however.

Couldn't Be Happier by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lucius does not understand what there is to like about snow: it’s cold, it’s wet, and it sticks to everything. Perhaps his mind will be changed once this afternoon is finished . . .

When You're Gone by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: All may be well for those in league with Harry Potter, but this is certainly not the case for those who supported Lord Voldemort. Rodolphus Lestrange flees from Hogwarts shortly after his lord's demise in the battle . . . but he can't ever flee her, no matter how far gone she might physically be.

Character Death warning is for a death that happened in canon, and the Mental Disorders warning is just to be safe.

Trying to Pretend by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: What was supposed to be a calm dinner date ends up being much more emotional and rocky for both Lucius Malfoy and Andromeda Black.

Takes place sometime during Chapter Two of Ubi Amor, Ibi Dolor, but will still probably make sense if you haven't read UAIB first.

Numquam Periit Amor by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: After the final battle, Andromeda goes to Hogwarts to find her daughter, meeting with others whom she did not expect to see along the way. Numquam Periit Amor is Latin for: Love never dies.

Sexual Situations are minor, but just to be safe. Character Deaths are canon, and do not actually happen during the story.
