There is nothing that provides Astra solace in what her father calls the Dark Lord’s world. She possesses no hope, friends, or schooling to keep her life in check. (Madam Bones was an interesting character who didn't get much book-time, but she deserved a proper death scene--this is my attempt to give it to her.)
