Ersatz Excuses by chemicalflashes

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •

Epithalamium by Squibstress

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Minerva McGonagall is a bright, talented witch with dreams of becoming the first woman in the Auror corps. Albus Dumbledore is famous, brilliant, flawed, and more than forty years her senior. Their love-affair will change their lives in ways neither anticipates and places them in the sights of the man who will become the greatest threat the wizarding world has ever known.

Even the Most Unlikely by Wenlock

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: We fear most that which we don’t understand. Dorcas Meadowes is a journalist, devoted to telling the truth about You-Know-Who.

We fear least that which we have defeated. Alastor Moody is an Auror, fighting to end the war.

Their hearts are full - full of courage and steely resolve to win the war, with no room, they think, for anything else.
But they don’t know that even the most unlikely people can find love.

Warning: You might recall that Dorcas Meadowes was in the original Order of the Phoenix, and that Voldemort killed her personally. If you’re looking for an overwhelmingly happy love story, I’m sorry to say that you won’t find it here.

Early, Early Spring: Professor Sinistra Reflects by Oregonian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: I didn't know much about Professor Sinistra, the Astronomy Professor, until I wrote her last summer in my story Dark Enough To See The Stars. This poem shows a more personal side of her, even as she references her astronomical knowledge every day. This poem is part of my series (Winter At The Castle, Autumn At The Castle) describing castle life in all the seasons of the year, using various poetic styles. Did Professor Sinistra have a brother? Well, now she does.

Winner of 2015 Quicksilver Quill Award, Best Poetry

Exile Vilify by the opaleye

Don’t talk, never linger, stay invisible. On the run and alone, these are Nell Hawke's rules. As the threat of Voldemort reaches across Britain, all she wants is to keep her head down and attached to her neck. Eastern Dawn Stars by Ginny Weasley Potter

Her mouth opened a tad and she looked at me, confused. Then she looked at the rubbish bag. “Sahib, kachra?”

Scorpius Malfoy travels to India for a Healing program and finds himself in the unlikeliest of situations when he starts to fall for a poor sweeper girl.

This is Ginny Weasley Potter of Hufflepuff house writing Scorpius Malfoy for the second part of the One-Shot Triathlon at the Character Clinic and I would like to dedicate this fic to my very first friend on MNFF: Pauie/ lucilla_pauie. You’re awesome, Pauie!

‘Kachra’ is a Hindi word which directly translates to ‘rubbish’.

Rating is due to the 'sexual situations' warning which is really just a kiss. But I'm not sure how many people will be comfortable with it so I've rated this high.

This is BrokenPromise of Ravenclaw writing for the Great Hall Illustration for Inspiration Challenge 2012

Regrettably, I own neither the world nor the picture from which this fic is inspired. They belong to J K Rowling and Karaley Dargen respectively, and I hope that this is an adequate representation.

Character Death for Lily and James only.

Many thanks to Megan/noblefate who betaed this for me so quickly and helpfully!
