I'd never, ever, ever thought about Wood/Hermione. Now, I think I might start a fan club!!!
I liked the whole bringing bakc Voldy evil scheme and Malfoy-counter scheme you envisioned. They're still snivelly rats, however, not THAT rotten and evil. I was a bit sckeptical of Lucius being so 'civil' to Herms, but since she would be the only one that could testify to Malfoy's 'good' interests, it's understandable.
Also, I loved hearing all about the Scot's traditions such as the blackening and all those neally crazy things!! It's clear you did your homework.
Fred, George, Charlie and Viky were great in the story. Specially Krummy, offering to 'rescue' Herms from the Contract and all.
Also, way back, the wya you portrayed Hermione dragging Ollie from the showers for Harry's sake after they'd lost that match... Priceless! Best moment ever!! Totally loved it!!
Well... gotta fly now. Just wanted to make sure to tell you this story is bloody wonderful!!! You're an amazing writer!!
When I saw the post on my LJ, the only reason I didn’t leap up and run screaming around the apartment (well, aside from scaring my roommates) was because I was frantically clicking buttons so I could read it right now!
And having finished reading it (twice)…gaaaahh.
Bits I really really liked (as opposed to just really liking):
Hermione’s reading that one trashy novel again. Ha.
"I'm not up to talking to yer chin, lass." He smiled at her bewildered expression.
It’s just cute. I love your Oliver—he’s cute and sweet and gentle but strong and manly and flawed, as well. And the expanded Oliver you write about is still true to what little we get out of the books.
I like how Hermione takes care of Oliver—and of course, how he takes care of her.
He didn't look particularly chastised by her complaints, if anything, his smile only grew more sly. "An' why would I do that when I know I've go' such a pretty nurse waiting at home for me?"
"Lass, if yeh don't stop that, ye're goin' ta kill me"
And
…Hermione suddenly felt that perhaps this was a Very Bad Idea…
Hee hee hee. Ahem.
She was tired of thinking, of always second-guessing where this man was concerned; tired of trying to be the rational one.
Ooh, nice Hermione bit. Her second-guessing has been getting in the way since the beginning of the story, but she hasn’t been able to help herself. Now she’s finally just ready to trust him. I also like this part:
…not one she would be able to hide behind as a choice in the heat of the moment tomorrow morning. And though she respected him for it, she also hated him, a little.
This is why the characters work so well—those inconsistencies that are so fundamentally part of the human personality. They aren’t perfect, nor is the world they exist in, but they get by—like real people.
They didn’t climax together or anything ridiculous like that…
More of the same. I am amused by how embarrassed Hermione is by the whole thing, even though she wants it so badly.
His expression, when she was brave enough to open her eyes, was nothing short of triumphant, as he leaned forward to slide his lips along the shell of her ear, down her jaw, and back up, he whispered, “I told ye I would get the words from you, lass. You don’t know how long I’ve waited to hear you say them.”
*melts* It’s been such a journey, from their wedding night to here…but we know now that it’s better this way, that they had to come to this point before their “wedding night” could have this much meaning.
I’m excited that this isn’t quite the end! And I’m excited about what’ s next.
I am so happy they're finally together...

I've been following this story forever (even though I'm not actually active here anymore, MNFF still sends me email alerts) and I have to say I've thoroughly enjoyed every one of the few-and-far-between chapters. This remains one of my favorite Harry Potter fanfics, and I can't wait to finally read the ending! :)
Come now, surely, if you try hard enough, you can give Oliver another adventure...

I'm not sure which part of the plot you don't like, but if it's the Marriage Law and Contracts bit, that's actually a very popular challenge issued by one of the fan boards about 5 years ago. What I have chosen to do with it, of course, is all mine.
I'm actually embarrassed when I go back and look at the first four chapters of this story. Some day, I will have to go and re-write them, but in my honest opinion, the story really shows it's quality from chapter five onwards, so if you keep with it for another two, you may find it improves. If not, I still appreciate that you've been honest.
good job, but a little slow. Keep up the great work, i can't wait for the next.

The dynamic between Malfoy and Hermione confuses me a bit. I think as more chapters are published I will get it. The cliffhanger, again, is wicked. Not very nice.
