*Sigh* How lovely to have this update and wonderful chapters to tide me the few remaining hours until DH. Remus truly is my heart and I like the character you've created for him. I do think Lindi's a bit of a cream puff in this last bit, but all in all, she's just how I would see Remus' first love. She seems beautiful and smart, naturally, and has that damsel-in-distress thing that sould make Remus feel like the big romantic hero. I can't tell you how I wait with bated breath for each update! Don't know why anyone got detention...after all they were all practicing transfiguration, and you don't say that anyone ended up in the hospital wing. McGonagall can be so over reactive sometimes.

Ecxellent... Reminds me of the time I gave my sister's boyfriend the "Talk". My father was overseas, and as the oldest sibling I felt it only right... He was about as embarrassed as Remus, and she got so mad at me she didn't speak to me for a week!

Not to mention the release of the DH *thought it was amazing* *wishes she could say more, but will not spoil for anyone*. moonymaniac, this entire fic has been incredible. i was reading the 5th book today and i was reading the scene where James tortmented Snape. all throughout that i kept relating to your story and i read that chapter in a way i had never read it before. so while i thank u for presenting this awesome version of Lupins life as a Hogwarts teen, i also have to thank u for essentially screwing up my perspective on reading all of the books, dating back to PoAzk and likely continuing into Deathly Hallows. thanks!

I'm flattered that my story would make an impression, but of course, screwing up your perspective on the actual books isn't what I would have gone for. It has been my intention to keep the characters and the story line as canon compliant as possible, with the hopes that it would sort of flow right into the first book. I'm not sure exactly what would make you view the books differently from what I have written (with the exception of perhaps viewing Remus as the amazing wonderful star that he should be, instead of just as a cool secondary character *wink*.) I have a friend on the forums who doesn’t read FF because of this. If you feel like dropping me a pm or an email, I’d be interested in knowing what you view differently now. But for now, I don't know what to say, except that I'm sorry if it has hurt your enjoyment, somehow. :*/

I joined MuggleNet fanfiction in part to write, but also to tell you how much I love MOB! I love how you set everything up, like Remus learning Wadiwassi and that chocolate remedies a dementor attack. I think you nailed his character--he's exactly like I imagine he would be at school. I think it's perfect that Remus' dad works with magical creatures. I think you did a great job writing about him. One of my favorite parts is when Lindi is talking about if it's safe to kiss a werewolf--because so many authors don't address that at all, but you thought it through. I can't wait for the next chapter! (and I'm sorry that review was kind of rambling.)

Author's Response: Hi, Amanda. :) I'm happy to say I'm feeling a bit better; thanks so much for thinking of me. I had a rather full week and probably overdid it, but I finally got out of the house and it felt great. Of course, I came home and instantly fell asleep on the couch while flipping channels, but it was still good to get out and about. I did notice that the weekend before my surgery was not only full moon, but a special one of sorts. If I recall properly, there was something about the moon being lower on the horizon or closer somehow and that it would look bigger than normal. Cool! Unfortunately, I had been sick for months before that. :( Still, the moon was cool. I was glad it was a couple days before my surgery, though. *tries not to be superstitious* but I wouldn't have wanted the surgery yesterday, Friday the 13th either. :*) LOL Well, enough chattering; I need to try to get the Ch. 44 rewrite finished. (If I can stay awake) *hopes* :)
