This story was an excellent vignette. Several times throughout the books, there were parts that could use another scene. This was one of them.
I have read several authors versions of missing scenes and I have to compliment you, this could have been part of the book.
I plan to read the other stories you have, since you grabbed my attention with this one.

Hi! I finally got around to reading this! It's very good. I really want to know what happens to everyone, but at the same time, I loved the ending. I'm just strange that way, I suppose. Anyway, it's extremely well-written and the characterization is perfect. 10!

This may be a one shot, but it begs for closure. It's extremely well written and so ambiguous and open ended that I need to know the rest of the story. I wonder about Snape's mother in Manchester. Is he poor because he's paying for all her expenses and has no money left fot his own needs? I want to know which side he's really on here, it's so ambiguous I can't tell for sure. Please continue this or write a new story from possibly Drao's or Eileen's point of view that tells what happened after the story ended.

Author's Response: Thanks for saying it's well written. I'm sorry to leave you hanging, but I intended Snape's loyalty to be ambiguous in this one shot. I know it seems to leave everything to the imagination, but that's kind of what I wanted. I may think about writing something else to go along with it when I'm done with my big chaptered fic. This was really good. I loved the interaction between Severus and Draco. I really loved the bit about the money.


I didn't like the way he treated Narcissa though. He did promise Draco that he would protect her; I wouldn't think that would include allowing her to go on a crazy hunt for him.


Anyway, I really enjoyed this. The end was cool too, because it still leaves the reader guessing just which side ole Snapey is on. I'm not still guessing though because I will always believe that he's good!

Author's Response: Thank you! Well, he did tell Draco he would take care of Narcissa, that is true. But, at the same time he blames her for a lot of what has happened. He got backed into that Unbreakable Vow, in my opinion, and it left him trapped. He wasn't feeling much sympathy for her at that point. I'm glad Snape's loyalty still seems up in the air, though I can tell you I believe he's good. Still, I wanted it to be ambiguous in this one shot, so looks like I succeeded there.
