excellent but i dont like the story line but that is my opinion keep up the excellent writing.

Author's Response: That's definitely an interesting comment... What about the story line do you not line? And, especially, what pushes you to keep reading despite that? (I know I stop once have deemed the story line beyond me...) In any case, thanks for the review!

"Ginny, though unsettled by the methodical formality of his demand, relied on it to curb her bliss"---despite your assurances that ginny does indeed want revenge, I am still confused. wouldn't ginny expect behavior like this from malfoy? she is blissful to be married to him? again, is being married to him part of the revenge plan? at first, I swear I thought that she was just trying to get close so she could hurt him, but....oh well.

"Ginny was erring in the vestibule"---what does this mean? she was saying "errr" or she was making errors?

I think that ginny was completely blocking off her true feelings, or she would be thinking more about the peoople she would have wished to be at her wedding.

have you read any of kerichi's fics? her shoes are always spelled for comfort...seems reasonable (and infinitley desirable) to me!

"looking highly relieved to already be dead." ha!

narcissa is cleverer than I gave her credit for. I admit, ever since the scene in book 4 when she looks like she has something nasty under her nose, I've looked down upon her.

I love rivendell. is vegetal a word?

""Well, I see things have progressed," Narcissa noted absentmindedly upon seeing Ginny's rather racy lingerie. " oh how embarrassing! and narcissa isn't even ginny's mother in law yet!

I've noticed that ginny seems to use very casual, colloquial language rather than the formal way of speaking that narcissa and draco use. why? she went to the marriage agency, she knows how to talk like she's refined, why isn't she trying to win everyone over with her speech?

donkey skin vaguely reminds me of ollivander.

that was really heart-rending to me at the end, when ginny realized that the reason her mom wouldn't help her at the wedding was narcissa's family.

I really like this story. keep it up!

Author's Response: It seems that the word "err" used to mean "wander", although that meaning is now archaic--or so says dictionnary.com . Therefore, my use of the word was correct, if mis-dated, but thanks for pointing it out. Yes, I have read some of Kerichi's fics, and I very much enjoy them. I am unsure whether vegetal is a word (apparently auto-correct says it's not), but it sounds right, so I took some creative license and used it. Ginny is quickly going back to her usual self. I also noticed, in DH, that H, Hr, and R speak very colloquially. Even my G doesn't speak as colloquially as that, so I figure she'll be alright. Right? 0:) Thanks a lot for your review! I love it when readers are detailed and lengthy in their comments!

so, are you french? or belgian? if you have access to belgian comic books, and you can read them (unlike me :( )

Your story makes me think of Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver. One of the protagonists has an affair with this man, but they are ideologically on opposite ends of the spectrum. They lust for each other while disagreeing on just about everything. The end of the book has a sort of bittersweet parting, where they look back fondly upon their affair but they know that separating is necessary. I'm just thinking that it may turn out the same way for ginny and malfoy in this story-- I mean, obviously draco is lusting for ginny, ginny is not indifferent to the way draco makes her feel, and yet... i really get the idea that ginny hasn't forgotten her desire for revenge, and lust or no lust, she will punish the malfoys. it is amazing, though, how much she will put up with. in canon she seems to be much more of a spitfire. is your reason for her subdued personality the scene of carnage at the burrow?

she almost let her name slip to a lestrange! scary. did she tell anyone else to call her ginny? I can't remember.

was it her goal all along to seduce malfoy? was that a predetermined part of her revenge?

Author's Response: I am most definitely French, but a lot of the Belgian comics were written in French. Therefore, I have pretty decent access to them, and enjoy them very much. I am very honored that you would compare me to Kingsolver. I really love her style, and she has a way with words that is just wonderful. Somehow, the way she makes even the most trivial and normal people appear worthy of a story is amazing. The reason for her subdued demeanor has to do with the carnage indeed, but not as trauma. Rather, it is part of her plan. No, she hasn't told anyone else to call her Ginny. As for her goal to seduce Malfoy, and it being a part of her revenge... you are definitely onto something there ;) Thanks a lot for taking the time to review. It was an absolute pleasure to read and respond to you!

I really enjoyed the Malfoy-history paragraph. it made me laugh. you are very clever.

donkey skin dresses--do they make you irresistable to your one true love? I really like that fairy tale. have you read the novel "deerskin" by Robin McKinley, that is based on that story? it is excellent. I suppose in a universe with a school called hogwarts, donkey skin IS a good name for a dress shop.

gosh. you really know your myths, legends, and other interesting tidbits. do they have "Lanfeust de Troye" in english, and what kind of comic book is it (action, manga, story...)?

this fic has got to be well thought out, because otherwise you would not have added such a wealth of detail, but you have yet to answer my most burning question--what exactly does ginny think she's doing?!?!?!? I have been aching to know since the first chapter. all I can think of is that she is spying, but if she is, she must have some long-term plan. she doesn't have anyone but hermione to report the spying to, and she doesn't seem bent on total destruction. I think if she was vengeful, she would be less careful on her detailed background at the wife agency. I love how you are keeping the readers completely clueless, because it means your plot is very original, but it would be really cool if you could drop some hints... ;)

the bit with the birds fluttering over her head really reminded me of the Disney Cinderella, with all of its cuteness...don't be offended.

I will scream right along with ginny and draco, with suspense and impatience for the next chapter. I will admit, up to this chapter, the story was plugging along for me, because I was so confused about ginny's motives and draco was so distant. but now... Aaaargh ! UPdate SOON !

Author's Response: I haven't read "Deerskin", but if you claim it's good, then I'm off to Barnes and Noble right this minute! (I'm always looking for good stories, even if they are remixed versions of fairytales) I don't think they have Lanfeust de Troye in English, although they definitely should. I suppose it would classify as action / story, seeing as Franco-Belgian comics do not have classifications as American ones do (I mean, they do separate Manga from, say, Humor, or Historical comics, but the latter genres are rather interchangeable, depending on the story). You're right, Ginny IS vengeful. She is cautious precisely because she's dealing with Draco --well, the Malfoys in general as well, but really, Draco is her target. More hints (more like, memories) are coming up, so that by chapter 6 or 7, you will know exactly why she's going after him. That being said, thank you very, very, very much for writing such a lengthy, detailed review. I'll post more chapters as soon as the Mugglenet staff allows me to! Cheers!
