WOW!!! No, really, I mean it. Good Job!

Best line: Compared to Harry, nothing, absolutely nothing else mattered.

Well, that's just my opinion.

~ Parchment and Quill

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Parchment and Quill. I'm glad that last line made an impression and that you enjoyed the story. Thanks for letting me know.

Wow, that was so sad. It brought tears to my eyes. Love the way you wrote James, really made you feel for him and his family.
Well done.

Author's Response: Thank you, Phoenix alThor. Yay for tears. I really don't see how anyone can think of the story of James and Lily without getting teary, but I'm so glad to hear I could express a bit of it well enough to bring them. As for James, I have been tryiing to get a handle on him for a very long time and writing this story has helped I hope. It is easy to either idolize him for being Harry's dad and the brilliant Marauder, or to hate him for being the arrogant berk who tormented Snape (for the Snape lovers), but he was both and a lot more than either of those things. Anyway, I really enjoyed trying to figure him out. Thank you for your kind words about how I did it. :)

first -what day is it in the fic?...now for my review- i just love it! some parts made my eyes water. particularly theparts toward the end....but seriously you are a wonderful writer!

Author's Response: Probably the day you think it is. <.< But I'll leave that up to you. ;) I'm so glad to know it affected you to the point of watery eyes. That is what I had hoped for. The story of Harry's parents is so tragically bittersweet to me. Sweet because of the love involved...okay, now I'm going to get watery. Thank you for the lovely review. I'm so glad to know you enjoyed the story. :)

I lost my dad young, it gets me teary eyed anytime I am told about some of the sacrifices he made for me. Probably the reason I love HP so much. This is a wonderful story, great cannon awareness, not an ounce or phrase that was OC. It humanizes the Father James Potter, not many stories do that, most focus on the romantic, marauder era James. Favoriting this story so I can read again sometime. Thanks

Author's Response: Thank you, Sly One. Considering your perspective, it means a great deal to me that you enjoyed the story. I wanted to take a different look at James as I agree this aspect is often over looked. Thank you for letting me know you liked it and I'm very sorry for your loss. It's good that the memory of your dad and what he did is kept alive for you, though. I think that is so important. :)
