That was lovely! For me, the movies have gotten worse as we go and since I love OotP (book, of course), I loathed the movie. To tell you the truth, I can't even remember what happened in the movie at this point since I was so appalled that movie!Harry gave the prophecy to Lucius. But, your story is going to help me get over the movies, chapter by chapter. Right?

Author's Response: Haha. I'm not sure I can actually help you get over them, but we can at least bear it together, right? Misery loves company, as they say. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Bahaha that's brilliant! Whenever I'm watching the movies, I always complain about lines or scenes that are completely out of character (for example, the scene in the diner with Harry and the waitress XD) and this made it even better, thinking about what the actual characters would be thinking if they could see the atrociousness of the movie franchise. Fantastic job! Becca:D

Author's Response: Yeah, me too! Thanks for taking the time to review. I've gone way AU with this one, and it's helpful to know it's connecting with a few folks out there. Glad you are enjoying it!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

I'm so glad you managed to get this on the site. it's wickedly funny and just what's needed to brighten up my day after the hideousness that is Kloves/Yates is unleashed on the world.

And now I know why you wanted Babe Magnet and 'on the pull'. Poor old Harry!

Great fun ~Carole~

Author's Response: Yes, and thanks for supplying the correct terminology for me. :) I hadn't considered the timing of this thing, but I'm glad it went through on the day we learned about the movie Harmony. Gives me an outlet for my rage. Hehe. Thanks for the review, Carole! I'm glad you think it's funny!

LOL!! Soooooooooo very much funny. And so true btw. That bit of the movie was awfully, painfully OC!!
Great chap.

Author's Response: I know, right? I can't believe no one on the set or in the process bothered to say, "Um, actually Harry's no good with girls." *sigh* I'm so glad you are enjoying the fic, though! Thanks for the review!

HAHAHAHA!

Take that, Yates!

This is brilliant, Lori. Simply brilliant. I can't WAIT to see how you tackle the unnecessary Harmony dance.

~Natalie.

Author's Response: I'm thinking about how to write that dance already, but I'm not seeing much humor at this point. Poor Ron. :( As for this, I'm glad you thought it worked! Thanks, as always, for the review!

Love it, love it, love it!! That scene inthe movie was one of the most AU of all the stuff that should not have been in the movie - I know that is how the real characters would have reacted to that scene. still laughing, more please!!! Debbie

Author's Response: I honestly never watch that scene because it is just so WRONG. Hehe. Glad you are enjoying the ride! Thanks for the review.

That was really randomly awesome!!!! Write more!

Author's Response: Randomly awesome... lol. I'm working on more, but I've got too many irons in the fire right now. Ugh! Soon, I hope! Thanks!

this is very interesting because it shows how the book versions collide with script versions, and really, how the books collide with the movies. good job!

Author's Response: Thanks! I have more chapters planned, but they are not quite ready yet. :)

Ohhh man Lori, I love this SO MUCH. If my favorites function worked, this would go RIGHT IN IT. You have to let me know when it updates on LJ. I left some feedback in TTB, but seriously, this is so brilliant, I hope you know that. ANGRY!Dumbledore in GOF would be awesome...Ron getting relegated to the background in HBP or any scene where he is dumbed down...the H/G kiss or the SHOELACE SCENE ;lakd;i...seriously there is so much opportunity for this, and Gina is right: this is so brilliant partially because there is more than just the wittiness to it, there is a sense of realism that the characters can convey about the movies v. books that we cannot, and its cynical in some parts.

So much love for this.

~Amanda

Author's Response: Yay, Amanda! It just warmed my heart when I saw you'd reviewed! Thanks for all the encouragement--both in the drabble thread and here. I am actually very excited about this fic, though with the time constraints I am currently under, I don't expect updates to be as quick as I would like. As much as I love HBP, that entire movie is ripe for exploitation! Can you imagine Molly's reaction when she read in the script what was going to happen to her HOUSE? :) Oh, and don't you worry, SHOELACE references have already been written. Hehe. Stay tuned, friend. And thanks again!

Author's Response: I'm so glad! I'm working on the "more"... thanks.

This is great! Funny, well written. I have made my peace with the movies and how far off mark some of them are by viewing them as fan fiction. Like fan fiction, some are really great (Socerer's Stone), some are not (OOTP). So, I love seeing what the characters think of the movies! Can't wait to read more. And you have to do Harry & Ginny's very vanilla kiss in HBP. After the passion they put into that kiss in the book, I can just imagine what they thought of the onscreen kiss. You captured Remus very well - Dora too. More please!!

Author's Response: Ooh... the H/G kiss! I had not thought of that, but it's a great idea. I'm going to have to start a list... HBP is ripe with inspiration. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review.

I like it. Now I want to see Siriusfreak out about saying the line, "Nice one, James!" Grr, that makes me mad every time I hear it.

Author's Response: Interesting. I knew that line was not in the books, of course, but I didn't mind it so much as it does seem consistent with Sirius' character. You are the second one to mention him though... I will have to give it some thought. ;) Thanks for reading and reviewing!

BAHAHAHAHA! I love it! It's very fair to say the book characters wouldn't even recognize the movie characters at all! The movies were great (except for the one that bridged on O.K.) but the books far outshine all of them!! Great job looking forward to more!

Author's Response: I always say I have a love/hate relationship with the movies: I love watching them over and over, but I complain aloud to anyone who will listen about all the changes and inconsistencies. So this is just a bit of fun exploring those details. Thanks for the review--I'm glad you liked it!

I thought it was great! brilliant idea! I am very excited to hear what Dumbledore thinks.....

Author's Response: Oh, but Dumbledore is so difficult to write well. I must get some tutoring or something. So glad you liked it... thanks for the review!

Yes! It's up! I am so glad. Seriously, I laughed out loud the entire time I was reading it, and I've already read it several times. It's just so bloody brilliant and original. And funny, oh so funny. Tortured? Jazz hands? Just semantics? HAHAHA!
And yet this time I noticed something else as well: there is a bit of darkness in there, isn't there? It's not just a parody of the how the movies play on the books, it's a biting commentary on how the films miss a lot of important points about the characters themselves. We moan and groan about it every time a new movie comes out, but here we get to see how the characters themselves feel about being short-shifted on screen. And it sounds much more authentic coming from them, somehow.
I hope that made sense. :D
And then Tonks' incredible perception "All this...this is just fiction." Ah, brilliant. And it could be said of fanfic too, couldn't it? Love it. What a great line, a great insight.
I really can't wait to see what you do with the next one! I can only begin to imagine what Sirius might have to say to The Director, or how Dumbledore feels about some of the things the script has put in his mouth. Oh, I'm laughing already! Write up! And good luck as you continue! :)
~Gina :)

Author's Response: Hmm... Sirius... I had not considered his perspective in this. I have two other ones in mind, though I've also considered adding in the reaction of Dumbledore to his angry movie counterpart... so I guess that is three more. Yay! This is going to be fun! I'm so glad you mentioned that serious tone of this as well. I expect that will continue in most of them. There really are upsetting implications for the characters with some of the changes we see in the movies. It will be interesting to explore them. Thanks so much for your continued encouragement, Gina. This would not have made it to the archives if not for the change you suggested. :)
