hey ! As you are my favorite author, I would like to request you to write a songfic about Ron/Hermione/Lavender from the song 'no way' by lady gaga. hope you have listened it. I feel it is very close to there story. As im not a writer at all so I urge you to write one. Thank you :)

Author's Response: Haha. This is a funny little review. ;) Thanks so much for saying I'm your favorite author--that is the coolest ever. But I'm afraid I have never written a songfic and would not even know how. Also, call me bitter, but I do not wish to write Lavender in the same story as Ron. :P I still have hard feelings there, I suppose. LOL. But you are so sweet to make a request. More stories will come eventually... I'm swamped writing assigned fics for the beta forums right now. Thanks again!

This is beautiful. You've got Hermione's character down perfectly. I love her side of things. I would leave a longer review, but right now, I am typing through a fog of tiredness after seeing Deathly Hallows last night. I can't wait to see your epilogue. Post soon!

Author's Response: I completely understand. I have not recovered from the midnight showing either--haha. I'm so glad you liked this, Alyssa. The epilogue will be around eventually. :) Thanks so much! ~ Lori

you did do it again, i loved it. in response to some peoples comments that hermione is acting "out of character" i do believe that hermione does seem to act a bit differently than she usually does, but let's see, nearly getting killed more times than you can count, running from only god knows what, and getting your heart dashed into a million tiny pieces would make anyone a little upset and just a smidge irrational. :) shes pissed at first, (anyone would be) but then she sees him again, and those feelings get pushed by the wayside because she truly cares about ron. nice job. :D

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked this. You know, I've been thinking about this whole OOC thing... several times folks have said she was OOC and then agreed that these are intense circumstances, so who knows? I guess maybe it comes down to semantics, and I just wouldn't call it OOC. Because in my life, when I am pressed to the breaking point, I might act out in ways that would surprise those who know me best. And here, Hermione has really been pressed, and she's not talking about it to anyone, and this is the kind of emotional turmoil and inner dialogue that could really happen. (Well, if she were real, of course... hehe.) Anyway. Just thinking out loud, I guess. Thanks again for reading and reviewing--I appreciate it so much!

...apparently MNFF is treating me the same as Julia, and it cut off my review. It don't exactly remember what the end said, except that it contained more gushing and a plea for you to mention when this gets updated on LJ or something so I can come finish it.

And I saw that you recommended The Dawn to someone in another review!! *swoons* I

Author's Response: You are awesome. Early encouragement from you and Natalie kept me plugging along at this. And I truly would not have written that last letter after his return if you had not suggested taking it that far. It just hadn't ever occurred to me, but I'm glad it's in there (even if it was the most difficult by far to write--ugh). Thanks again! (Oh, and I seriously recommend The Dawn all the time, all over the forums. It's wonderful.)

OMG LORI I SAW YOUR SIGNATURE AND I AM SO HAPPY YOU MADE THIS INTO A ONE SHOT FROM THAT DRABBLE I LOVE THIS TO PIECES OH MY GOSH.

*ahem*

Sorry for the capslock. There are no words for my love for this. You grasp Hermione and Ron so well it makes my heart hurt. I was teary-eyed reading this. This part of the story is my favorite time for them, and seriously I just love this so much, I just read it twice. No joke. I

Author's Response: Yay, Amanda! This is just to say, hey, I'm glad you're here, and look for my real response above. :D

I love the idea of telling the story through letters! It was nice to see Hermione's side of the story after Ron left since we already know Harry's. The emotions running through the words are the best part of this story, thanks so much, can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thanks. The letter idea came from a prompt in TTB. Funnily enough, R/Hr were not allowed for the challenge, but this just would not leave me alone. So this basically evolved from that first drabble letter (the first letter of the series). I 'm so glad you thought it worked... thanks for the review.

Weasley mom, you did it again...
I loved the letters. I could see Hermione secretly scratching out the words because she would not want Harry to know. Her revolving emotions make sense for who she is. I love how she regretted not just walking into Rons arms when he came.... But that is who she is, huge temper with a huge heart. Can't wait for the epilogue - here is an idea how about one from Rons POV?
Great job!!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I'm thrilled you liked this. As for Ron... ah, Ron. ;) I love thinking about what was going on with him during this time, but I haven't considered writing it for two reasons. First, he can barely write letters when correspondence is actually expected, so it's hard for me to imagine him processing this way, as I can easily do so for Hermione. And two, two other fanfic authors have already written lovely fics on Ron's time away from H&H. If you haven't read them, you should check out Weeks and Weeks by Ravensgryff and The Dawn by ahattab33... they are both just wonderful, and completely satisfy my imagination regarding that time for Ron. Thanks again for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it!

Seriously, MNFF, seriously? Third time lucky... This fic is absolutely fantastic and is going straight into my favourites. Sorry for clogging up your reviews and for the disappointment when you see three review notifications and they're all from me XD

Author's Response: Why is the site being so mean to you? Poor Julia. But yay me for going into your favorites... that absolutely makes my day. Thanks so much!

lol I have no idea where the rest of my review went O.o What I was saying at the end was: This fic is absolute

Author's Response: This one is a bit deja vu.... lol

Lori, I turn canon for your fics. I really do. As I was reading this I became a complete Ron/Hermione shipper. This was just so heart-breaking and gorgeous and realistic and tragic and gahhh. I loved it. I think you caught Hermione's character brilliantly. Yes, she is a "bookworm" and intelligent but she is also a very frightened teenager girl. I kind of see these letters as her release. She spends all day trying to hide her anguish from Harry and she needs to let it out somehow. I wish I could leave you a more coherent review but I can't. I'm just... in awe at the moment. This fic is absolute

Author's Response: Julia! Turning canon? What nicer thing could you possibly say to me? ;) Seriously, I'm so glad you felt like it worked. I definitely agree about the letters being a release for Hermione after all the efforts of keeping herself together for Harry's sake. That is how I have viewed and written it since I started working on it months ago. Oh, and I see I have two other reviews left... back with you in moment. ;) Hehe

Author's Response: Thanks. :)

I love it - great story! I could feel Hermione's anger and despair reading this - made me want to set birds on Ron!! Wonderful characterization.

Author's Response: He may have needed something more threatening than birds for this offense... haha. I'm glad you thought the characterization was on target. That's the biggest deal to me, at the end of the day. Thanks again!

I simply love your fics. I think you capture the essence of the character you are writing about and I could definitely see Hermione writing these letter. Well, if not writing in parchment, at least writing in her head. They did have a lot of time and I am sure that after thinking about how desperate their situation was and what they were going to do next, she thought about Ron.
Also, I never realy thought about HER situation after Godric's Hollow and what would happen to her if Harry died. Great work!!!
Can't wait for the epilogue.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks so much for the kind words. You know, I had never considered her view of the Godric's Hollow incident either, though I've always thought Harry's observations of her from the book very interesting. I think he notices something about her looking bad or ill or something, as soon as he comes out of it, and then how she cried when talking to him about the wand. Also, how she didn't really know what to say about the condition he had been, but finally said he had been "ill." Anyway, it was fun imagining what that all looked like from her side, considering the experience Harry was having inside Voldemort's head. Thanks again for reading this, (and others, apparently) and taking the time to leave a review. I really appreciate it.

Oh Lori, this is utter, utter love. I adore this story. It's a wonderful romance, but not too fluffy. Yes, there's some, but this is a canon couple who are just so right for each other (Damn ... what have I done with Shrouds!)

Youreally write so well, so wonderfully descriptive about this pair and you capture Hermione and Ron's relationship so wonderfully.

Must stop gushing now. I can't say anymore than I already have ... but I loved it.

~Carole~

Author's Response: Aw, Carole, thanks so much. I have a seriously unhealthy attachment to these two, which is why I have been avoiding Shrouds for now. *insert embarrassed smiley here* It's so ridiculous, but even though I know it will be wonderfully plausible and well-written, it will also bum me out for days. LOL. And things are just starting to look up around my life. Hehe. Thanks so much for reading this angst-fest and leaving me such lovely comments. I'm so glad you thought it worked. :)

Oooh, I could definitely picture Hermione doing this; writing letters but never sending them. You've captured her emotions here perfectly- could have been written by Jo, I swear. Looking forward to the epilogue! :]

Author's Response: Ooh, what a nice thing to say. Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

Well.. I think real Hermione would have concentrate much on their mission of destroying horcrux rather than thinking about Ron. It is clear from the novel that she proffered her friend over her love. In her thoughts too, she would have been thinking about their next plan. Yes she did cry for Ron for many nights, but she controlled herself well and prepared her mind to move on without Ron.
It is only my point of view. Apart from all that you've wrote brilliantly.

Author's Response: Okay, thanks so much for taking time to explain that further. I do not agree that she chose Harry over Ron here. Hermione is responsible to the very core, and she made a commitment to help Harry. She wasn't really choosing one over the other, but continuing the mission rather than abandoning it, as Ron (under the influence of the Horcrux) did. Harry's words to Ron: "She cried for a week. Probably longer, only she didn't want me to see. There were loads of nights when we never even spoke to each other." Hermione's mind is on Ron. For much of that time, they didn't even know what the next step was going to be... and there are a lot of hours in a day. Plenty of time for thinking about their mission, and even more for mourning Ron. Not to mention the fact that Harry, God love him, is not the most perceptive individual when it comes to girls, even Hermione. So for even HIM to be able to tell Ron this much about how bad off she was without him... well, I just think there was probably quite a bit more going on under the surface for Hermione. She did control herself, but what you think in your mind when you have nothing but time to think, and what you might write in a letter you have no intention of anyone ever seeing... that is a different animal. :) But I am so grateful for the crit--you've made me think through it all again, and that is always a good thing. Again, I'm so glad you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to talk it out!

This was one of the most beautiful Ron/Hermione fanfics I have ever read. Simply great. Hermione is not really in character, but who knows whats going on inside your head. This is fantastic. 5 stars for you :)

Author's Response: Hmm. You are right that we don't know what is going on inside her head, but what did you feel was inconsistent with her character? Seriously, I would love to hear from you again about that, either in another review or an email or something. Glad you liked the story though. Thanks!
