I think my favorite part was when Boot called Scorpius loony and Scorpius said that referred to the Lovegood side of he family. Those Boot brothers sound like such dolts. Anyone who keeps mentioning that his bat is the biggest or the longest in the league has to be compensating for his shortcomings.

Author's Response: You and Nathaniel Nott think alike, heh. Barry is definitely worse than Terry, who really isn't that bad, only overconfident in book learning when it comes to fairies. He just needs a little more common sense and a little less self-tanning spells. :D

such a fan. I love how your stories seem to never end. And I love Rose and Scorpius. I'm looking forward to more soon.

Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much for saying that! I'm glad you're looking forward to more since I've got 23 chapters finished and I'm working on ch 24. :)

i was happy to see you have another chapter up. This chapter was full of really funny stuff but I'll comment on a couple of the best, in my opinion. I could picture Ron's hairy knees and laughed thinking about Grandfather Lucius and his expression and thoughts about exposed knees. The other scene was when Ron caught George sneaking a peek at Hermione's legs and when Ron called George on it George explained that he was trying to talk Angelina into going to counseling twice a week, presumably to see her legs more often.:P Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the Malfoys having standards.

Author's Response: Couldn't you imagine Lucius sneering at Ron's exposed kneecaps? So bourgeois. Yeah, George is sad only getting to sneak a peek at legs. Malfoys do have standards. They might not be moral standards, lol, but sartorial ones count too! I'm glad I have more chapters of this story written because it's kind of addicting, submitting rapidly, and I'd hate to go cold turkey on both stories. I don't have enough dark chocolate to counter that. ^_~

Yay! I love Sendak. He's a a cool dude

Author's Response: Misshogwarts! Lovely to see you're reading this story too! And you love Sendak. My writer's cup of happiness runneth over. Thank you.

Don't you hate that when you're at a gathering and someone brings up something you really wish they wouldn't, and they can't shut up? Everybody had to know what Hermione would do if she heard about possible mistreatment of a magical being. I did like how she made the three interrogators apologize.

Author's Response: And none of the men hesitated to apologize, either, lol. They wouldn't dare. I liked the idea of Hermione intimidating men dressed in a yoga outfit. :D

I'm so glad that I'm reading this. I've read Our Little Secret & Our Little Secret Lost and most of the one shots. Scorpius/Rose is my favorite next gen ship.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, I'm so happy you're reading this too! You've made my day!

Teddy Lupin is stating to get real annoying. I'm finding him untrustworthy. He seems to go to any lengths, legal or not, to get information. I'll bet that Harry wouldn't appreciate the fact that his godson is impersonating him. I hope Hermione arrived and yelled at Arthur, Ron, and Teddy. They deserve it.

Author's Response: Teddy's trustworthy to Weasleys and Potters and law abiding citizens, which doesn't think Scorpius is, although he can't prove anything. It's going to take a lot before those two become friends. Which I like because everyone instantly accepting a Malfoy on Rose's say so doesn't ring true to me.

You have to feel sorry for Edgar. Both his wife and his mother seem like real hags. I loved Scorpius' thought that Lucius would simply say that's unfortunate if he ordered something the cafe didn't have and go home and increase the rent. I think the group would've been better off if they hadn't asked about the coffee. Once again you are so clever in your research to link coffee production to mongoose abuse. I got the impression that it would've been more fun if Scorpius and Rose had dinner by themselves. Once again, great chapter.

Author's Response: Go looking for the most expensive coffee in the world and end up reading about civet cat abuse. I could see Rose watching a documentary with Grandma Granger and being horrified. I feel sorry for Edgar, too, even as I want to slap some sense into him. Thanks!

Definitely one of the most interesting stories going at the moment.

Author's Response: Thanks, Dad! (Couldn't resist, you have such an awesome name)

Scorpius is so Slytherin but in a good way. His grandfather must be proud. I loved the image of Marianne arriving at the same time as the MLE do to enforce evictions then giving the unfortunate families a basket of flowers (flowers, really?) and produce. At least the produce makes sense. And she said all this while eating heritage lamb and declaring it delicious. I guess I loved the sarcasm in that statement. It shows what Marianne is really like. I chuckled a little bit over Terry's using too many tanning spells. How do you think of all these things? You are so creative!

Author's Response: It's my Slytherin tendencies. I thought I'd be Sorted into Slytherin, but say you like to read and would do something to cheer someone up and off you go to Gryffindor. I felt like the kid who crawls up the slide to tell Santa that he wants a BB gun, not a football (in my case it was "but I said I'd leave the kid I'm babysitting in a closet and not go looking when it was my turn to seek!") and gets nudged away by a boot to the forehead. Good times. Toast. Thank you!

Every once in a while my sister will fix breakfast and bring it back to me so I can eat in bed. I should do that for her some day-- maybe make an unusual omelette. I could feel how tired Rose was. Again, it's your skillful writing that can evoke the real feelings of the characters in the reader. I hope nothing too sad happens in this story. I'll burst into tears. :D have you worked on original writing? If you haven't you should think about it.

Author's Response: I have a few starts of novels and the beginning of a screenplay. I thought for a long time that not having readers expecting updates was why I hadn't followed through, but I've realized that it was lack of world building. I know the HP world and can look bits of info/timeline dates up if needed, but being a discovery writer ( knowing the plot points but not everything that happens in a scene until I write it) I was also discovery world building, which doesn't work.

That was nice of Scorpius to wear robes for his grandfather. There were two lines I found interesting and funny. The first was the one when Lucius asked if Scorpius had seen the wedding announcement in the paper. His thought was of course not--I had breakfast with Rose implying he and Rose couldn't be bothered by the paper when they had breakfast. The second was when Scorpius thanked Lucius for sending Champagne to the newlyweds and he sad it was domestic. The things he's arrogant about.

Author's Response: Lol Scorpius and Rose were having their first day of work talk so they weren't thinking about the paper. :D Lucius, though, was arrogant, heh.

Once again, it was like a movie running through my head. You write such vivid descriptions. I really, really love how you write Draco in this story. You've made him sound so wonderful--as a father and a family man. I wonder if he could've seen his future if he would've believed it. I'm starting to take your next generation stories as canon--what JKR would've written if she had gone on into the future after the seventh book. Please update soon or I should say keep up the rapid updating.

Author's Response: Aw, thank you for saying my stories are your head canon! That's the best compliment. It has been fun being able to update quickly. I should have stories mostly written more often. :D

I like Scorpius' interpretation of Casual Fridays. Fortunately I don't have to observe those. I hate the first days of a new job. You never know what to do. You don't know anyone. I wonder if Rose is going to be happy in a job where she's earning less than Scorpius. I hated it when that happened to me. That's how competitive I was or was made to feel.

Author's Response: People who think how much you earn is the measure of your worth are idiots, to quote Scorpius. He started out wealthy and now he's working as an executive for his family company. No Ministry trainee position is going to pay a fraction of what he makes, and it doesn't matter. If Rose is doing a job where she's happy because she makes a difference in the lives of others, that's worth more than Galleons. See the first line for what I think of the person who made you feel competitive about job earnings. ;)

I know that it's easy to assume that Ron is a ditz and I know that Ron's really a powerful wizard, but he needs Hermione or he'd truly be pitiful. What would we do without Weird Al? Did Ron and Hermione really give in that easy? It must be weird to go to a new job or go to college and still be close to family. I was far enough away so I could basically have any adventure I wanted without them looking over my shoulder:D

Author's Response: They've been dealing with her relationship with Scorpius since she brought him home with her Easter holiday in Our Little Secret. Compared to the danger she was in on the island in OLS: Lost, the danger of Lucius's disapproval isn't that bad. :D I don't think Ron is a ditz. I think he's plucky comic relief and very much a guy (which I think Hermione likes since she appreciated Viktor being physical, heh).

I can't believe I forgot to comment on my favorite part of this chapter: Scorpius" embarrassment over his dimple. That is so hysterical. i mean, to feel bad over something like a dimple--there are so many other worse things, although Scorpius is so perfect that I can see him embarrassed by this one thing that might mar his face:D I can't remember if he was embarrassed about his dimple in the two stories leading up to this one. I suppose I'll have to go back and read them again to find out. Too bad:P

Author's Response: You don't have to go back, I was happy to go copy the first mention of his dimple for you. It was chapter four of Our Little Secret when Rose is pestering Scorpius to decide on a favour so she can pay him back and stop having it hang over her head. Rose admits Albus was impressed with Scorpius's notes that she copied and: Malfoy laughed. It was a huff of sound, barely audible. Rose stood close enough to hear it and see a flash of white teeth along with something that made her stare. “You have a dimple!” His eyes became hard as grey slate. “No, I don’t.” “Yes, you do.” And it was wrong. Dimples were for nice boys, not Slytherins. Malfoy backed away. “You need glasses like your uncle.”

Well, it was hard to imagine Harry with a full-blown mustache. I think I got a bigger smirk thinking about Lucius having snakelets. You are so clever. I would've said kittens and left it but you had to push it further and make it perfect. It sounds like Ron and Hermione don't want to admit their little girl is growing up. And it doesn't sound like Scorpius is going to give up until Rose is ensconced in his flat--or should I say their flat.

Author's Response: It is funny thinking of him with a Gary Oldman/Commissioner Gordon mustache. :D Aw, thanks. Ron and Hermione probably wouldn't be as concerned if Scorpius had "normal" wizarding parents. Lucius complicates things.

I don't know why but I suddenly got the giggles thinking of Harry blinking like an owl. Again, I could see it and it made me laugh. That was quick thinking of Harry to suddenly go over the rules of dating a Weasley. Ron and George seemed so unembarrassed by the fact they were obviously eavesdropping. I am in heaven with two of your stories to read. I want to go back and read the two stories that precede this one. I've read them before but I love Rose/Scorpius stories almost as much as I love a Snape romance.

Author's Response: One day I'm going to have to track down the first review you ever gave me way back in 2010? 2009? and note the date because that was one of my lucky days. :) I'm glad you giggled about Harry blinking like an owl behind his round glasses. I hate to giggle alone...okay, I don't, I just wanted to say that because it reminds me of the saying I hate to drink alone. :D

I'm glad Scorpius realized that the family had wands raised because they didn't recognize Rose. It would have been embarrassing if the newly arrived couple were hexed by accident although I wouldn't put it past the family to only hex Scorpius "by accident." I love the flying motorbike. It does sound riskier to fly one rather than ride the Muggle way. Our Little Secret remains one of my all time favorites.

Author's Response: Scorpius is at that age where risk just adds to the experience--which is a good thing since he risks having Rose's family hexing him if he doesn't watch his step. :D Nice to see your review this morning. Definitely made my day shinier!
