That was a great chapter. I actually laughed when Hagrid went on his rampage. Yes, there will be consequences. And, Hagrid's already been through this sort of thing. He will do it again if he has to, for Harry;.

Author's Response: Thank you :)

You just have to love Hagrid. I think he can handle whatever's coming at him. By end of term does he mean spring? They have semesters at Hogwarts don't they? What Hagrid doesn't know is that his party probably won't be happening anyway.

Author's Response: Semesters are called terms here in the UK :) Thanks for your review! :)

Bless Ginny for her calmness. She's right, the Slytherins are rattled. So does that mean the Carrows went to the Dursleys' house to get Harry's trunk. I forgot where Little Whinging was.

Author's Response: Little Whinging is in Surrey, just south west of London :) I imagine some other Death Eaters went there and brought the stuff to Hogwarts on the Carrow's orders.

I'm not so sure it's Zach who's the betrayer. What about that weird Hopkins character? I might think it funny if Zach gets caught by the Carrows and put in the dungeon. I'd be concerned of course but I'd chuckle a little at first.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review!

As noted elsewhere - brilliant.

I thought that maybe for someone took a coin off of one of the students who had been captured. But that doesn't make sense. Now I'm anxious to find out who the betrayer is. That's a good way to break up a group. They could all start suspecting each other.

Author's Response: You'll find out soon enough! Thanks for your review :)

Too bad McGonagall didn't have a coin. I suppose that was more to protect her honesty. She couldn't lie if she didn't know something. I don't think Snape would like this either. I'm enjoying this story. It's the same story but from a totally different viewpoint. We never really knew what happened in the castle so it's a fertile field to sow. Or something like that.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review!

I was really getting into Ginny's speech. It's probably not possible but I hope Harry hears of her broadcast if he can't hear it himself. it was such a sad Christmas that year.

Author's Response: Thank you!

For some reason I haven't been able to pull Mugglenet in on my iPad so I haven't been reading as much. And, I'm behind in your story. Poor Molly--one minute she has a full table and the next she doesn't. Now I remember, Remus and Tonks named their baby after her father. it must have been hard for JKR to figure out who she was going to kill in her books. it sounds like Fred carved his first and last turkey.

Author's Response: Thanks!

This is another great chapter in a great story. Your Ginny is believable and I think true to who she is in the books.

Author's Response: Thank you!

One of the best battle field scenes I have read.

Author's Response: Thanks!

I LOVE what you've written so far! Especially the way you've written Ginny. She's brave, clever, reckless (so Gryffindor-y), but she's also a hot-headed teen, and worried about her family, Harry, Hermione. Ginny's one of my favourite characters and it annoys me when people dismiss her as annoying/selfish/does-not-deserve-her. You've really done a great job of portraying her. Also, her relationships with everyone. From discussing boys with her Mom and Hermione, to trying to gang up with the twins, the way "Loony Lovegood" becomes her closest friend at Hogwarts, and then her growing friendships at school.
I actually keep forgetting that Colin was Ginny's age. Even when I first read the book, I remember I still thought of him as that 11 year old excited kid and that made me even sadder when he died... And of course, you made Colin plan all that with Ginny and the rest... Heart-breaking. I don't remember whether Dennis survived. I'm pretty sure he did. Maybe they could still go out and have that Muggle Day in honour of Colin. :(
(Also, that "think of what Dumbledore would want" and Hagrid saying "yes, he loved parties" was a nice touch. Reminded me of the trio's trips Hagrid's hut.)

Looking forward to the next update! :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much, this is such a lovely review! It really means so much to me! I also still think of Colin as very small, I'm finding him tough to write. So glad you like it!

Going home for Christmas is such a bittersweet experience for these students. They really don't know what they'll find. I loved that Draco was lightly punished by the Carrows. It shows that he might have been changing before the war. I see I have a bunch of chapters to read. I was busy with NaNo and didn't read much in November.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review :) Hope you enjoy catching up :)

I've found that I really enjoy hearing (or reading) the Potterwatch broadcast so thanks for including one of those in here. I wonder if anyone really betrayed the DA. I think it's possible for Snape to have known what was going on. It seems to me that he was protecting the Hogwarts students without trying to be too obvious about it,.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your lovely review!

Great story, keep it up! I really like the little touches you add (like Hagrid saying that the Centaurs "spend too much time inhaling plant fumes ..." and many others), I am really enjoying this, you write very well!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me :)

That was clever, calling the radio show
Sirius. You had to mention Cornish Pasties didn't you. I love them! I had a recipe and made them once. I also used to buy them when they were available in a bakery I went to in Massachusetts. But I lost my recipe and I don't live in the Boston area anymore. I'll never forget how yummy they taste.

I really liked this chapter. I felt very nervous for the three of them as they tried to steal the sword. I wonder how you'll get it passed on to Harry. Will Ginny end up doing it or will it be Snape? I look forward to your next chapter.

Author's Response: I'm following strict DH canon, so it will be Snape. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Another great chapter. I don't remember exactly, but Harry didn't go into the Ministry for the sword did he? I thought he was looking for the necklace--although this is your version of the story:D I think the best idea is what Luna or Ginny said--without Harry they'll have to share with and teach each other.

Author's Response: No, he didn't, but they believe he did. They're trying to work out what's going on and don't have as much knowledge as the reader! Glad you liked it! :)

Loved this chapter. What struck me the most was Snape's behavior. I remember when I thought he was so mean to Harry. I still liked his character though. I don't remember when I figured out that Snape was on Harry's side.

Author's Response: I'm glad Snape seemed realistic! He's tricky to write!
