Jamie looks like being a very useful wizard to have around. Look forward to the next episode.

Great set of characters, when do we get to meet the sinister one with the cowboy boots?

Author's Response: Ah, patience, patience...but thank you for all the responses!

This gets better and better, scary monsters, 60s music, lots of humour. Great job, keep it up.

They don't have to wait for their adventures! This story is turning out really well.

I really liked this chapter. I loved the Cherokee Tangled Snakes curse (if that's what it was called). I also liked the Americanisms you added to the story.

Author's Response: Thank you! It should be kept in mind that this was written before Ms. Rowling released some of her ideas about the American Wizarding World. I gave it some thought, did some research, and imagined it for myself. Other than that, though, I tried hard to stay within the canon.

Poor Harry, drafted again
Keep up the good work

Author's Response: Ah, but this time he has a choice. Thanks!

Enjoying this unusual story, like the mix of magic and computers. Ryan is a well written character and his reaction to the UK is well done. The English speech is perhaps a bit dated but that is perhaps how they sound to Ryan. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Author's Response: Well, that's how British English sounds to an American author who loves Ms. Rowling's stories (and other British authors) but has never actually hopped the pond; I've only visited the scepter'd isle in my imagination. (Maybe someday!) Brilliant point, actually: you put your finger on one of my main concerns. British common speech circa 1998? Not so easy. The dear old R.P. is straightforward, but that's "formal" language for most. There are so many dialects - in the US you have to travel at least 500 miles to get the kind of dialect-shift that happens within 50 miles in Britain. And many cultural patterns - I'm aware, but not familiar. That's why your review was so welcome, and "...perhaps that's how they sound to Ryan" is a particularly lovely insight. Still, I hope I did well enough that the British characters can become real to British readers. Many thanks for the comments -- delighted you're enjoying this exploration of some themes I wondered about.

Very promising!! Hope you don't keep us waiting too long for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you! The story is complete in 28 chapters, and I'm going to try and post them just as fast as they're validated. Chapter 2 has been submitted. I hope you enjoy the tale as it unfolds, and I very much appreciate any and all feedback.
