Summary: I must admit,
I loved just once.
Dimples and
Inheritance!
She was perfect,
I was free.
I told her
We were meant to be!
This story is a lot lighter than the title depicts. It’s about Tom Riddle’s love life, even though he never really liked a girl (note the Alternate Universe warning). Therefore, this poem is probably AU and OOC. Please read and review, despite the weird summary!
*GASP* The second chappie's UP?! Aparently so! YAY! *wipes sweat off of forehead*

Chapter 1 by Heiress_of_Insanity_
Author's Notes:
If I really wanted to face the peril, I would jump off of a building in NYC, screaming, "I JUST BOUGHT BLOOMSBURY AND SCHOLASTIC!" at the top of my lungs. Then, before anyone could sue me for copyright, I would die. Not the quote 'I would rather be weird than known'. You can find it on my authors page. I'll just shut up and start with the story now!
I clasped my hands,
And said my prayers
As children trampled
Up the stairs.
When I was young
And blameless.
When my heritage
Was shameless.
But that is gone
It can’t come back.
Love is the only
Thing I lack.
I must admit
I loved just once.
Dimples and
Inheritance!
She was perfect,
I was free.
I told her
We were meant to be.
She turned me down,
She scorned me lots!
She punched me once.
I could see spots!
Why did she hate me?
What did I require?
A family? True friends?
I was no liar!
But she said no,
Until I said,
Go out with me,
Before I’m dead!
I begged her!
I fell at her knees!
I kissed her hand,
Said “Pretty please?”
She agreed,
But just as a friend.
That was until the
Very end.
We started to talk
Her lips were red…
I asked her a question
And then she said,
“I’m just tired,
It’s nothing more.”
But how could
I know for sure?
Making sure I
Couldn’t miss,
I leaned forward,
Gave her a kiss.
She had liked me,
Despite all that scorn.
But now, I say
My feelings are worn.
In my life of misery.
My life of woe.
For now, my fancy
Is my foe.
The times were good,
The times were nice.
But now my heart is
Cold as ice.
I love no more,
I couldn’t care less.
Except within
My emptiness.
Where I will crawl
When times are bad,
And remember those
Mem’ries had.
There you go! I don’t really like this as much as my other poem, ‘They Told me Not To’, but I submitted it anyways. The really weird thing about this poem, though, is the stages it went through. First it was a Ron/Hermione poem (called ‘You’), but it was too short, so I decided to do an AU on Voldy’s feelings for his old girlfriend (called ‘Battle’, which eventually morphed into this! Funny how that works…
Chapter 2 by Heiress_of_Insanity_
Author's Notes:
I know that I said I was finished with this, but I decided to add another chapter, and then, it will be done for good...
If you must know where I am, I am on top of a very tall building in NYC with an 'I OWN HARRY POTTER!' parachute. I'm due to jump off any second now...
I cannot love him.
He's beyond hate.
He could have turned back,
But now, it's too late.
I used to love him,
Even though I looked down,
And shattered his heart
With my menacing frown.
But now I hate him,
That love is no more.
He lost his good looks;
His words of lore.
After I shattered his heart,
And sewed to new,
He did the same,
But forgot number two.
He killed me inside,
He murdered my kin,
But left me to lie there
And die within.
So now his lover
Is his foe.
And those memories stay there
Like new fallen snow.
I cannot forgive him.
And he cannot love.
Our happiness flew away
On the wings of a dove.
I do not miss him.
Except in my heart,
Where I'll hide away
When the mem'ries start.
I don't like this as much as the first chapter, but I decided to imply his girlfriends (we shall call her Scotti-I like that name) feelings too.
3...2...1...
"I OWN HARRY POTTER!"
SMACK! *dies*
