1. Light by Mind_Over_Matter [ - ] (290 words)
This is my second poem submitted to MNFF. I suppose it could easily be written by just about anyone in the first war or second war, who happens to be completely taken by love. I, however (as you’ve probably guessed if you know anything about me), wrote it to be by Gideon, little Romeo that he is.
I’ve always loved this carol, and it broke my heart to rewrite the verse about myrrh.
Never the less, I did. The other big challenges were the complicated rhyme scheme and the fact that… well, I’m extremely inexperienced in the area of writing about love. Also, songs. Not to mention terms like 'doth'. So maybe cut me a little slack?
