The Severed Souls by Magical Maeve

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Summary : The sequel to Daughter of Light. Maeve has a very bad end to her honeymoon as things come to light about Severus that astound her. Why is her husband so keen to keep Draco Malfoy alive at all costs and can she really get over her loathing of Narcissa Malfoy to work together to save both Severus and Draco from the fate that Voldemort would like to inflict on them? Why is Harry so furtive and will Neville save the day when Maeve’s necklace is returned to her by her father. Oh, and our favourite bad-boy Auror is back!

There has been rather a long break in the writing of the story due to work commitments, but I'm back on the case and hoping to get it finished - if there's anyone left still reading!! :-)

Aurors and Schoolgirls by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
The Wizarding War is over.

Auror training has begun and Harry and Ron find that their lives are centred round London and the Ministry of Magic.

For Ginny and Hermione there is the inevitable return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Their lives are centred round schooling in Scotland.

Do these divided duos have different destinations and divergent destinies? When, where and how can these parted pairings meet? Opportunities are limited to holidays, Hogsmeade visits and school Quidditch matches.

Nominated for: Best Post-Hogwarts (Chaptered) story - Quicksilver Quills 2012

The Victory Day Victims by Sainyn Swiftfoot

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

Two successive Victory Day parties; two survivors of the War poisoned. Similar circumstances, similar poisons, similar modi operandi.

Henry Chumly is an old, callous, unaccepting, misogynistic and in every way completely unsavoury drunk. Almost coincidentally, he also happens to be the best detective at the new agency of the Ministry, the the Cadwallader-Hundert Agency for Response to Malmagic.

Padma Patil is young, pretty, talented and excited to work at the Ministry, cracking cases and nabbing criminals. Before her application is accepted, though, she has to spend the customary few weeks working under a professional detective. She expects ennui, tasks far below her talents and frustration; but nothing anyone had ever told her prepared her for Henry Chumly.

This is the story (if you ask him) of how Henry put up with the bint and solved the case single-handedly or the story (if you ask her) of how Padma stunned everyone by not only managing to avoid murdering her utter bastard of a superior, but also being the first probationer to play a pivotal role in solving a case. This being a mystery, and in tune with the essence of mysteries, if you wish to find out the truth, you’ll have to read on till the end.

[chaptered; OCs and minor characters; comic mystery]

This is Sainyn Swiftfoot of Hufflepuff writing for the 2011 Mysterious May Challenge in the Great Hall, Prompt 2.

The views expressed by the utterly hateable Henry Chumly are not those of my own. Please do not take offense.

Tales of the Battle by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:
Over fifty people died at the Battle of Hogwarts. There are dozens of stories of loss, betrayal, heroism and sacrifice. These are some of those stories.

Nominated for: Best General (Chaptered) story – Quicksilver Quills 2011

Not Alone by Anya_Jenkins

Rated: Professors •
Summary: This story is the sequel to Family Ties - I recommend you read it first or some things may not make sense to you! A brief summary will be posted in the Author notes.

Since Hogwarts has been closed following Dumbledore's death, the students must face life in the real world earlier than usual. Dean Thomas has enrolled in the newly created early admissions programme at St Mungo's Healing College where he meets new friends and some old ones. Life seems to be going great until something happens that will change the wizarding world forever...

I Will Find You by I Am Lady Voldemort

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Severus Snape, dangerously embroiled in his duties as Dumbledore's spy, encounters yet further obstacles when he begins to harbor feelings for a sixth year Gryffindor student. Succumbing to his desires sets in motion a chain of events that could very well destroy all that he and the opposition of Lord Voldemort have striven so hard to accomplish. Please keep in mind that this is written from the angle that Snape is no longer a follower of Voldemort, and that its events coincide with books 4, 5, and 6, with a slight continuation beyond HBP. (Chapters 1-15 need some fixing to work with Book 7.)

The Dark Phoenix by L A Moody

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
Even in a time of peace, evil never sleeps…

In the post Deathly Hallows world Harry Potter is a broken man, rejecting the public’s view of him as a hero and seeing himself as a destroyer of lives. Although married to Ginny and embraced by the boisterous Weasley clan, he holds himself apart from true happiness. The only solace he finds is among the other shell-shocked victims of the war: George Weasley and Andromeda Tonks. But young Teddy Lupin is determined to unearth the joy his godfather once had for life and in so doing adds to the alternate dimension where the cost of Voldemort’s defeat was not so high.

In the alternate reality, it has been seven years since Voldemort’s defeat. Reclaiming his own destiny, Harry has built a new life for himself from the ruins of the Potter estate. Although he did not hesitate to claim Ginny as his own, it has been an unusually long engagement period as neither of them has been a hurry to take that next irrevocable step. For Harry, these extra years have allowed him to recapture some of the carefree days of youth as he established his career in the Auror Department. Determined not to follow in her mother’s footsteps, Ginny has been making the most of the intervening years to cement her career with the WWN. The Lupin clan has been steadily expanding with the eldest, Teddy, immediately establishing himself as a Metamorphmagus, sporting bright turquoise hair at birth. In contrast, his younger sister inherited the delicate beauty of the Black family. As her parents await the signs that will identify her as a witch, one has to wonder whether she has any unique powers of her own.

Although this story starts on a dark and disturbing note, it is ultimately a tale of hope, healing and survival. It serves as an epilogue to both, Cruel Moon for the Misbegotten and Harry Potter and the Hero’s Lament; and consequently, contains all manner of spoilers for the canon series as well as the alternate universe my prior tales have established. Reading those two previous stories is recommended. Contains original characters who were established in prior narratives.

Not Only a Granger by ferporcel

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: [WIP] Post-HBP. Eleven years after the end of the war, Hermione finds herself in a delicate situation when her only son leaves for Hogwarts and threatens her most guarded secret: that he’s not only a Granger, but also a Snape! SS/HG.

Harry Potter and the Hero's Lament by L A Moody

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: With McGonagall firmly entrenched as Hogwarts’ new headmistress, Harry is enticed to return for his seventh year under unique conditions. Aided by Ron and Hermione, he embarks upon a Horcrux search-and-destroy mission using the school as the base of operations. Recognizing that saving the wizarding world from the ultimate evil is a rather daunting task for a seventeen-year old wizard, the Order of the Phoenix steps in to assist Harry on his journey. It soon becomes clear, however, that not everyone has the same lesson plan in mind for our hero. As the headmistress attempts to lay a clever trap to reveal hidden agendas, Voldemort waits in ambush at the one site that Harry is sure to visit.

But before Harry can face his nemesis, he must face down the inner demons that plague his own life and truly grow into adulthood. His activities are punctuated with school pranks, Quidditch, parties, and the requisite amount of rule-breaking that readers have come to expect from the trio.

Dumbledore's Secret by emck_21

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Minerva McGonagall is cleaning out Dumbledores office when she stumbles upon a box full of secrets. And what she discovers in the box will change the future of the Wizarding world forever…

Just on another note, most of the warnings above are for a purely just in case situation, and most of the above possible scenarios are not graphic in nature.

Harry Potter and the Mysterious Stubbardmans by DeanaZ

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Harry has mysteriously lost most of his powers and is marked for assassination. Hermione is in her apprenticeship, studying to become an FCI - Forensic Criminal Investigator, and Hogwarts has a new Headmaster that seems to butt heads with The Chosen One. One other thing, a deep dark secret is revealed about one of the Maurauders. Welcome to Harry's last year at Hogwarts...erm...one way or another.

Harry Potter and the Heirs of Slytherin by fawkes_07

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is an alternate version of Book Seven. Harry reluctantly returns to Hogwarts to train with a new DADA teacher, one appointed in specifically for Harry in Dumbledore's will. As the rest of the Wizard World reacts to Dumbledore's defeat, Harry develops the skills he needs to fulfill the Prophecy--including mastery of the Kedavra curse.

Mysteries are explored along the way, particularly the "missing 24 hours" from 1981--the span of time between Hagrid taking Baby Harry from the ruins of Godric's Hollow on Halloween Night, and his arrival to hand off Baby Harry on Privet Drive the following night. The Veil Room in the Department of Mysteries is also revisited. A traitor is uncovered, and Dumbledore's wisdom comes into question. And even when all goes as planned, things are not all they seem.

This story was completely written before the release of DH or the Order of the Phoenix movie. Any similarities are entirely coincidental.

Imperius by Pallas

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: “Imperius… Werewolves…You-Know-Who…” The last words of a dying man force Remus Lupin into a dangerous investigation at the infamous Feral Institute. Sequel to Oblivious; pre-reading would be useful but it isn’t vital.

Harry Potter and the Legend of Infinity by peskypetunia

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: So many tiny things can change the outcome of our futures. How much do we already know? How are Ginny and Lily so much alike? Surprise weddings, painfull losses, and Ron without a voice, leaves the seventh year at Hogwarts to be the most interesting yet. Please review.
