Fetch me the Spirit, the Son and the Father. Tell them their pillar of faith has ascended. It's my time now, give me my wings!"

Harry sits at St. Mungo's, waiting for the death of his friend; waiting, hoping and praying that Remus will pass from this Earth at last, happy and complete, with no more pain. Praying that he'll get his wings, because no one deserves them more.

The Room of Rejection by Gmariam

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry had hidden the Half-Blood Prince’s potions book in the Room of Requirement to avoid turning it over to Professor Snape. On the morning of Dumbledore’s funeral Harry goes for a quiet walk through Hogwarts and ends up back at the Room of Requirement. He goes in, thinking to retrieve the book, but leaves with something quite different.

This is a missing moment - of sorts - from HBP. It is very reflective, as Harry ponders the choices he has made, and the choices he faces. But there is a brief touch of Hogwarts quirkiness at the end as Harry experiences a poignant connection with someone he’s lost.
