Hey! My name is Chris. I'm sixteen years old, a Sophomore in High School once it starts, and I love to run. Harry Potter is probably my favorite book series ever, and I love writing fanfiction when I get the time. (Which unfortunately isn't very often and when I do it's in a notebook, not on here.)
I used to be more into humor fics, but I'm starting to read L/J more. I read Marauder Era fics a lot, too. I'm obsessed with the Marauders and Lily Evans. I loved the Phoenix movie, but I could still make a very long list of things I didn't like about it. I was crushed that they cut out Snape's Worst Memory, but then again, if they wouldn't have I would have been more dissappointed that Sirius and James weren't cute.
I love my friends. I can trust several of them with just about anything. I trust them more than it is probably a good idea to trust most people. They could blackmail me if they wanted to. Luckily, they don't. I really appreciate how comfortable some of my guy friends and I are. They'll lean over and whisper "she's hot!" without a second thought about it. I really appreciate it when their next comment is "but her skirt is too short." They resect me, and vise-versa. I know they'd respect me enough to tell me if MY shorts were a little too short.
As far as boks, other than HP, I love, love, LOVE the Left Behind and Left Behind serieses. They're the awesomest ever :) I'm always reading something, but that's my thing right now :)
My favorite Movie (debaitably) after the Phoenix and GoF would have to be the Pirates of the Carribean (The Black Pearl). The second one was great and I totally loved it, but the 1st was just better. Also, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom... They are amazing. Haha.
I love Contemporary Christian and Country music. Casting Crowns is with no doubt my favorite band in the history of the universe, and Jeremy Camp is a close second.
I've gotta live in the smallest town in Ohio, and our K-12 school is really little. This year I'm running track and cross country again. CC is the awesomest sport ever in the history of awesome sports. I love how close we all are on the team.
I play trumpet in the marching band and I'm in the Science Olympiad, which pretty much makes me the biggest geek ever, but I'm okay with that. At least most of my friends are on the teams.
Random fact about me- I spelled my name wrong on the morning of the spelling bee last year.
BOOKS & MOVIES
Did you cry when Sirius died? Almost. I had a huge bloody blister looking thing on my lip from chewing on it and it wouldn't go away for a couple weeks.
What about Dumbledore? I was devastated. Ditto the lip thing that nobody wanted to know.
Do you like the movies as much as the books? No, but I loved the GoF and Phoenix movies.
Hottest HP actor? Tom Felton and Robert Pattinson.
What scene did they leave out in the movie you wish they hadn't? I can never decide if I wanted them to cut Snape's Worst Memory or not becuase it's my favorite scene in book 5 and maybe even in the first 6 books, but I havent sen it yet (anxious for the DVD to come out!), so I can't make that call yet. **My DVD doesn't have special features... does anyone else's??
Favorite movie moment? Hermione just being annoying in the 1st one. Or Ron just being an idiot. That's always fun :) Then maybe after the 2nd task in the Gof. Hermione was really funny there, too :)
Least favorite movie moment? Whenever Dumbledore is there after the first 2 movies. It's not just a differant actor, they made him a hippie. Gag me. I mean, he has jingle bells in his beard, and you can hear them when he talks.
Favorite character in movie? Today it is Alan Rickman as Snape. (That might change tomorrow, I can never decide.) I'm a little nervous about him in the DH movie though. I just can't picture him in (spoiler!) his death scene ("Look at me") or sobbing in Dumbledore's office, devistated over Lily's death. I hope he'll suprise me and pull it off wonderfully. :)
Favorite Movie? Mmmmm... I'd have to say Phoenix. I loved it so much :)
Right now, I'm writing my 1st fic- "Hard to Find, Difficult to Leave, Impossible to Forget". I suprized myself by writing a romance fic (It's L/J). I never do stuff like that. I'm such a tomboy. :) It took me ages to finally be satisfied with the way my 1st chapter ended up, but I'm getting there. My life is incredibly hectic, but it's summer, so my schedule is slowed down a little. I'll try to type up the rest of it quicker than I have been :) Oh, and thank you to my wonderful beta, Emily. That was great really, I can relate to it it ways that I will not even get into, but I have to say that I really hated that ending. No offense meant whatsoever, but it was just like... Wow, this has a long explaination.
See, I see this as Lily has liked James and still does, but she won't admit it, probably not even to herself. She had an excuse to hate that she was falling for him before because he was a jerk, but now he's a more pleasant person. So the ball is in Lily's court now, unfortunately for her, as it would seem ay the moent. She likes James, people are starting to realize that she does, and she really had no excuse to pretend that she doesn't care for him anymore. So James corners her since he knows she's fallen for him, going back to his arrogant, jerk-y-ness. His arrogance was something he had grown out of (which was majorly for the better), but now he's falling back into that habit? And Lily just allows him to?? James is telling her how great he is, essentially "Oh, you worship me too... just like everybody else. You love me because I'm awesome." And Lily just melts. Probably still somewhat unwillingly, but she just melts into his arms. Maybe she has fallen for him, which is fine, but now she just shrinks back. Meek little Lily. Arrogant jerk Potter. And these people fall in love and are married without an abusive relationship??? I'm just not seeing it. But then again, that's just me. Maybe you're trying to show that James was a jerk to Lily and always was a jerk to her?? I dunno. But that's the signal I'm getting.

He's going to backtalk his bosses even, to a degree that he won't get fired. But I think that was just a bit much the end there. More than a bit much. Lily didn't change him, it's just James growing up a little. We can't all act fifteen forever. And sure, he's still going to be immature. Blowing up his friends' drinks, hexing people who deserve it. That's just part of his character. But he shouldn't be so "You love me because I'm great, you can't help it." I'm just not seeing it. But then again, that's just me. Maybe you're trying to show that James was arrogant towards Lily and always was a jerk to her?? I dunno. But that's the signal I'm getting.

Author's Response: LOL! I think you over read that a little bit. He was just seducing her. He\'d just found out the girl of his dreams had liked him all along. It was one of those \"I\'m on top of the world\" moments. And Lily didn\'t like him for his maturity, since she\'d liked him all along and for most of the time he was immature. Abusive relationship? Hardly. He loves her too. You can\'t predict their future marriage because James is merely proud of himself in one scene.
Grr, I can't delete that first review. Sorry. Read the 2nd one, it's the same as the 1st, but I forgot to add something. That was the longest review I have ever written :)

This one is ultra-sweet! I really loved it cuz it showed more of Harry's character and pesonality, as well as Dudley's. This couldn't have been an easy project to take on.
Author's Response: The whole thing came to me in quite a rush actually, as far as I remember! I wanted a different take on Dudley, a sense that he might yet have a promising future.
Someone suggested that you write a fic of Harry's wedding as a follow-up for this... I totally agree, you should!! :)
