Right. It's been an awful long time since I updated this. For the most part, I've relocated to a fanfiction site where I can post for all of my fandoms. I have been visiting back here occasionally, to follow a few authors and stories.
Originally, I was intending to also post my Harry Potter stories here. Well, I tried that, and I ended up being reduced to tears, because I found the process so damn difficult. So if you want to read my stories, I suggest you go over to fanfiction.net. I'm Kiryn pretty much everywhere on the net.
The following are the list of stories that I've posted on the other site. And if I ever do figure out how again, I'll post them here.
As Long as You Hold Me

~ Pairing(s): Remus/Sirius, Remus/Tonks, James/Lily
Fumbles Up Those Stairs
:::Sirius Black had never seen much point in a baby, and when Harry James Potter had been born, he hadn't seemed to be anything particularly special. He was a crying, pink, flailing thing, just like every other baby. Or so he had thought.:::
~ Pairing(s): James/Lily, could be read as Remus/Sirius
Not This Time
:::Ten things Sirius Black was afraid of.:::
~ Pairing(s): Implied James/Lily, could be read as light Remus/Sirius
Killing Me Softly
:::"I'll kill you eventually," he whispered. "It's what I always end up doing to the things I love." Remus didn't say anything. There was nothing left to say.:::
~ Pairing(s): Remus/Sirius, James/Lily
Too High a Cost
:::He realized--too late--that he had just made a colossal. Mistake. He threw back his head and laughed.:::

Two Plus Two Equals Five

So here's a little more information about me. More in-depth details can be found on my ffnet profile. Seriously, that thing is a BEAST.
My favorite HP character is, hands down forever and always, Sirius Black. *glances up* That's why pretty much all of my HP fics are somewhat Sirius-centric. Other favorite characters include Gellert Grindelwald, Regulus Black, Draco Malfoy, Remus Lupin, Harry Potter, James Potter, Lily Evans Potter, Luna Lovegood, Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, Phineas Nigellus Black, Amelia Bones, Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, Hedwig, etc.
My most favorite "genre", time period or whatever, in all of HP is, kind of obviously, the Marauders' Era.
My OTP of this fandom is, hands down, no question, Remus/Sirius.
(Notice the trend? Hint: it's all about Sirius, baby.)
My other favorite ships include Grindelwald/Dumbledore, James/Lily, Regulus/Lily, Harry/Luna, Draco/Hermione, Percy/Oliver, Scorpius/Lily Luna, and various others. Basically, I'll read anything that isn't on my "sink" list. And that doesn't break up my OTP. I'm afraid I've grown far too attached to it.
My most hated character in all of HP: Dolores Umbridge. But that's a no-brainer, huh?
The pairings that I "sink" (i.e. I cannot stand them): Harry/Severus, Draco/Ginny, Remus/Lily, Severus/any Marauders, Severus/Regulus, Dumbledore/anyone but Grindelwald, and requited Severus/Lily.
Other things that I frown upon: Any form of character bashing, but most especially Dumbledore bashing. And Weasley bashing to a more minor degree. But Dumbledore hate drives me right up the wall. Also, I can't stand OOC Blacks, and I hate the Sev/Lily shippers who take the James-bashing too far. :/
This story is really well-written and I enjoyed it immensely. It's going into my favorite's list.
Author's Response: Why, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Oh, and you should definitely write a sequel. I'd read it! (I love Regulus)
Author's Response: Goody! (Me too.)
I am SexY_LydZ for Ravenclaw, Gauntlet Round 6
Aww!!!!!! Brotherly love!!!!
Firstly, you might want to correct acertain typo, because your title says "Padma" when you are talking about Parvati. Aside from this bit of nitpicking, your chapter was very good. I can't wait to see what happens when Draco gets a hold of the Map!
Author's Response:
Ashley,
Ooh, nasty typo! Thanks for pointing it out!
Glad you liked the chapter... You're going to see in the next chapter!
~BB
I'm a bit sceptical about the story, but I'm reserving judgement. If you write this well (and it looks promising), then it'll be great. Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: It's ok to be skeptical! It is going down the humor path, with a mix of obvious humor and sarcastic, background humour. It will also have some romance in later chapters. Feedback and advice is always welcomed!
Very beautiful and great imagery.
Author's Response: Yay! First review for this! Thank you so much. I'm glad that you like it!!
Well, it took me a while to figure out what was up with people not wanting her to talk. Only after I looked back at the title did it click. In your summary, I'm confused as to what Lily has to do with anything, or really where the story's going. And what I was hoping for you to explain in the next chapter was how exactly a siren ended up in the care of Muggles.
I hope this makes sense and clears up your confusion. Sorry, cause I was in a hurry when I typed the last review.
Author's Response: I hinted in the first chapter that there were no females born into Malody's family in thirty generations, until she came along, but you're right...it was very vague. Her fathers bloodline carry's the genetic makeup, but until a girl was born, the siren traits never emerged. That doesn't get explained until at least midway through the story. Sirens were said to have used their voices to mesmerize sailors and then when the sailors came to shore, they devoured them. Most legends considered them man eaters...which of course Dumbledore wouldn't advertise. So they keep her bloodline a secret and educate her as if she were like Lily, a muggle who could perform magic.
The second chapter (which I'm waiting to get approved) details how Dumbledore asks Lily to befriend her and help her learn to socialize...they buddy up, of course.
If you think I'm leaving too much out, I suppose I could put a paragraph at the beginning of the second chapter where Dumbledore basically explains to Lily what Malody is, prior to having her agree to help. There's a love interest (of course), who is purposely kept in the dark about her, and that's why I kept it vague...wanted the reader to figure it out along with the love interest...
You have no idea how much I appreciate your comments! Thank you and keep em coming! I'm learning...slowly but surely.
Well, you can be sure that I'll keep on the lookoutfor your next updates! And it's an interesting story idea, unlike any I've heard before. So good for you! =)
This fic is well-written, but confusing. Hopefully you'll explain everything in the next chapter? I'm guessing she's a siren, though, am I right?
Author's Response: Yep, she's a siren...
I'm a new writer and building on the HP characters was my first attempt at storytelling...I wanted to be vague in this first chapter, not sure whether I was going to reveal the siren thing or not...so if you have time to be more specific on what was confusing, I'd love the input.
I actually have written the siren explanation about mid way through (tossing out hints along the way)...but maybe I need to rethink that. I'm waiting for the second chapter to be approved and I hope you read it and let me know what you think about it as well.
Thanks for reviewing it. Wow, I can't believe someone actually read it! LOL!
But when Libra Malfoy, daughter of foreign diplomats Scorpius and Rose Malfoy, is accepted, she’s not sure what to make of her mysterious new school. As she begins to investigate the strange happenings at Salem, she finds herself tangled in a web of deceit and danger. Could Salem’s methods be rooted in something sinister? It’s only too possible…
Great beginning! But what is quodpot? And what's up with the Weasleys?(Am I right in thinking Rose is Rose Weasley?)
I didn't really understand that last little bit at the end, but really great job! Can't wait for the next update!
Author's Response: :/ Yeah. I completely understand. It's a really abrupt break for the chapter, but it's the only place I had that would work for the chapter break in the arc of the story. It's just supposed to be a short, little piece between Sirius and Reeve to show that they're talking now, and at least at the point of buddies. Thanks for the review.
Aww, so sweet!
Author's Response: Thanks, dear! =]
Lol, loved the part about Hedwig, and the treacle tart. It's rare to find Hedwig mentioned like that. Great job.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I wish there was more of Hedwig just slipped into fanfiction :)
This already has the makings of a great story, and I really can't wait to see what the next chapter brings!
Author's Response: Thanks--I'm glad you like it. I'm working on the second chapter, and it should be out in a couple days. :)

Holy Movie Canon, Batman! This fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Chaptered Humor Story. Thanks so, so much!

I like it. Now I want to see Siriusfreak out about saying the line, "Nice one, James!" Grr, that makes me mad every time I hear it.
Author's Response: Interesting. I knew that line was not in the books, of course, but I didn't mind it so much as it does seem consistent with Sirius' character. You are the second one to mention him though... I will have to give it some thought. ;) Thanks for reading and reviewing!
This story really interests me, and I can't wait for the story to really pick up. Just one little nitpick, though...they wouldn't have just brought her into the next room to operate right then. They would have to wait for the next day or something. There's this whole thing where you can't have had anything to eat for about 8 hours or so before they put you under anesthesia, or I guess there could be negative side effects or something. It's a bad idea, anyway. I don't remember what the rule about liquids was. Sorry, but it just bothered me a little, and I know this because I had surgery not so long ago. I don't think it's the type of surgery that matters, but the anesthesia. Anyway, can't wait to see another update!
Very interesting. Can't wait for more!
