Well hi! My name's Becca, I'm a Gryffindor, and I reside on the forums as twilightHPgirl18. I live in New York, I love the 1940s-'70s almost as much as I love Ashton Kutcher, and I'm actually working on an OF that takes place in 1966, and another in 1976 based on my dad's teenage life :)
My favorite bands are, in no particular order: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, and Pink Floyd.
I love the TV shows The Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, Happy Days, Glee, Saturday Night Live (I love Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell), and Survivor.
My favorite movie at the moment is Pirate Radio (which I love oh so much), but I'm also very fond of Tommy Boy, Across the Universe, 21, The Breakfast Club, The Blues Brothers, and Grease.
My dream is to live in New York City, London, or New Haven, Connecticut. I'm just that cool ;)
Becca:D
oh my gosh, that was absolutely amazing! I loved it, and even though it wasn't about Sirius, he was prolly my favorite, how he just kept interrupting himself and laughing. that was great! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thank you! Sirius is probably my second favourite character (after Remus, of course) and it was a lot of fun to show them interacting and having some fun. They sure had precious little fun in the books (sorry, JKRowling) and they deserved a laugh. And unfortunately, I gave Sirius the habit I have of interrupting myself. Poor Padfoot. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Di
Awww. That was really sweet! It almost made me cry (don't take it personally, though, I never cry during fics. Well, one, but Sirius actually died in it... lol) Ok, this was wonderfully written and IC, but I wasn't that fond of the ending, how it went back to canon. Oh, how I despise the James-gets-Lily-leaving-Sirius-heartbroken endings. Sirius deserves to be happy, and I guess he was in this fic... ok, that made me happier! haha anyway, this was really good. I guess my only problem with it is how Sirius doesn't end up with Lily for good. As you've probably guessed, my OTP is Sirius/Lily, which is odd considering my love of canon... I really wanted a happy ending though. It was, in a way, because Sirius still has James, and Lily as a friend. {BeccA} P.S. if that didn't make any sense, 10/10.
Author's Response: Well, thank you! Quite honestly, my goal was to keep this canon, hence James does get the girl. But it's good to remember the old saying about how it's better to love/be loved once that to never have loved at all.
Awwww, Awesome story! And I was really confused for a while, how it started as a one-shot, then got another chapter, then got this one... it was really good though. keep writing! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks for another review. Sorry about the confusion. I never planned this to be more than a drabble but each time I thought I\'d finished I was never quite satisfied with the ending and more came to me. This is definitely it for this fic now, though I have other plot-bunnies using this version of the Weasleys. Glad you enjoyed it!
Aww man George was emo... creepy. But I think he went back, and told everyone what happened, and that everything went back to how it was after the funeral without George being locked in his room. I'm rather happy, as today is my best friend's birthday. Hannah, this rocked. 100000/10 {BeccA}
Author's Response: I think that in time George would return to his former self, he would just need a bit of time to heal. I think having some closure with Fred will have helped as well. Thanks for the review and I hope you liked this.
Awwww. I like this kid who wrote it he's cool! I hate people's version of how James and Lily were high!!! Meh. But this was a great poem. {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks. Yes, if James and Lily are going to be remembered at all, at least let them know the truth- they were standing up for what they believe in.
Wow. Really great chapter. I love Fayola's character now, because she's so strong, but so cynical at the same time. This is really a great story, keep it up! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks!\r\nYou\'ll see yet another side of her in the next chapter.\r\nGlad you liked it! x
This is really good! Keep going! {Becca}
Author's Response: Thank you! x
I just noticed this had been updated! I've got a lot of catching up to do...
Cliffie! I really liked this chapter. I didn't know if Fayola would be strong enough to take on the Death Eaters, but obviously she could. Great chjapter, Lola-Louisa! {BeccA}
I have so many questions now! What was Fayola's prophecy? Are they really going to the Department of Mysteries? Do they end up in Azkaban? How old are Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Fayola? How did you come up with the name Fayola? Well, that one didn't have much to do with theothers, but that's beside the point. So, whenwill it be updated? I hope soon, because this is one of the best stories I've read, and I normally hate D/A. And another question: is the suicide warning for Fayola's mother, or is it for someone else?
{BeccA}
This is a collection of poems about unrequited love in the Wizarding world.
Please read and Review, this is my first fanfic.
Warning for later chapters.
Chapter 1: Severus loves Lily.COMPLETED
Chapter 2: Cho loves Harry. COMPLETED.
Yes, people, I am back! Not sure when I'll post a new chapter though...I have another story in progress. ^_^
Heather! Hi! This was amazing! So much emotion, and from Snape! Snape is cool and everything (and a very complex character, though undeniably one of my favorites, but I never expected him to feel so strongly to someone like he did with Lily. Great great great job! My favorite part was:
I laid Lilies on your grave,
As I fought back tears.
I just want you to know,
I will always love you dear.
^^This line had a ton of emotion in it, I love how you portray Snape as someone who tried to remain strong after heartbreak, it was just brilliant. Excellent job! {BeccA} P.S. This is going on my favorites!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!!I was considering deleteing this because I thought it was too mushy but I changed my mind because of your review. I tried to put a lot of emotion in that part and I'm glad it worked out!Thanks for putting this in your faves!Next chapter is in the works!
Hey, Heather! Hmm... that's odd. I never read this chapter, even though it's on my favorites... I was really busy, so here I am now!
Hmmm... this may sound crazy, but this would be perfect as a song for the radio. Just like, change Quidditch to football or something and make Harry and Cedric different names and I can hear it on the radio! That's never happened for me with a poem before! After all, lyrics are only poetry, but this is the only poem here that could remind me of a song! Great job! {BeccaA}
I look at the ceiling,
as I lie in my bed.
A monsters thoughts,
are filling my head.
I know i'm that monster,
its true I can't lie.
I thought I would die,
I thought I would die.
^^Stupid Remus!!!! he is soooooo not a monster!!!!!
This was a great poem!!! I loved how Remus is the most emotional of the Marauders! You should definitely write more (I believe your name is) Bailey(correct me if I'm wrong)!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job!!!!
{BeccA}
Author's Response: Thank You, i\'m glad you liked it! Remus is my favorite character and i always wonderedt how he really thought about himself so i wrote something about it. You\'re right my name is Bailey. Thank you for reviewing
Laura! Laura Laura Laura. You have so many incredible fics! I'm glad to see a new one! I have read all of yours, and needed something new. So,
Only then, am I
afraid.
^^Definitely my favorite part. Poor Snape. He was pretty cool. I think this captured his emotions perfectly. 1000000/10. Excellent job! {BeccA}
P.S. First review!!!1 *squees* Sorry, really hyper after having some kind of chai coffee!!!!!!!!! *squees again*
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing Becca. I never really liked Snape but I had to write a poem for my class and I started writing and I thought it fit Snape. ^^ And chai coffe sounds yummy. =P Thanks again for the compliments.
This was awesome! And I read your review to Fear by lalalalatina. Chai coffee or tea is actually very good. If you ever see a Dutch Apple Chai, I strongly recommend it. My favorite part of this is:
He gave his love for her to plant.
He gave his hand so she could stand.
He gave his shoulder so she might cry.
He gave his mind for her insight.
He gave his heart. She died.
^^This was really touching. I lovvvvvved it!! *still hyper from the chai* You are a great poet!!!!!!!!! {BeccA!!!!!!!!!}
Author's Response: *grins* Thanks. I do adore chai tea, don\'t you? I prefer vanilla chai to spiced. And I will look out for that Dutch Apple chai, thanks.\r\nAnd thank you for quoting me. *grins again* Everyone likes praise.
Severus and Lily: the best of friends. That is, until one mistake too many destroys their relationship seemingly beyond repair. Still, Snape hangs onto the past, hoping that he might change Lily's mind, that he might earn her forgiveness.
"Did you think I was only mad because you called me 'Mudblood' more than a year ago? Well I guess some memories are slipping through the cracks! And did you think I was going to forgive you for those other things, which you’ve so conveniently forgotten?” Lily scoffed, raising her eyebrows. “Some things are unforgivable.”
James/Lily (and unrequited Snape/Lily). Rating for language.
Wow. Snape had the rose, and was gonna give it to Lily and then... whoa! I finally caught on! He's finally done with her! I'm having a hyper, yet slow on comprehending day. GREAT JOB THOUGH! I liked it, except Lily seemed a bit too cliched towards the end, in the second last paragraph. I didn't see anything else in the story that I would have a critique on, because the rest was AWESOME!!!! Great job! {BeccA}
Author's Response: I\'m glad you liked it! Thanks for the critique on Lily.
Hey Lucia! Oooooh. Great beginning! I loved how you have to Old English way of speaking used it it, makes it interesting. I really liked this. Oddly enough, it's the first historical fic I have ever read. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. Great summary, by the way. It really draws people in. I really loved this one! {BeccA}
Author's Response: I\'m glad you like it! I\'m always pleased when my stories are the exception to the rule {either don\'t usually read that category or don\'t usually like it}. ^_^
Wow this was hilarious! Probably one of the best things I've ever read! I hope it's updated soon! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! Working on the next issue now!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Every student plans on making their final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the most memorable one ever. Eight in particular want to make those minutes really count. Except, they each have a different idea of how to go about doing it.
James Potter would like to waltz into Lily Evans’s life and throw it completely off course. Julie McGuire didn’t exactly plan on rescuing Remus Lupin, but now that she has, why not just go with it? Marlene McKinnon should have know what she got herself into when she kissed Sirius Black the first time, but that boy has a way of knocking her senseless. Emmeline Vance had planned to just sit back and watch it all happen, until Roxanna Louchester, her ex-friend, barged in and turned everything upside down.
Suddenly they’ve gone from only wanting the most memorable year, to achieving it. It’s a year of love and lust. It’s a year of tears and fights. It’s a year of finding yourself. It’s a year of learning to lose. It’s a year that none of them are likely to forget.
Nooo! How can Regulus be so mean? He's my second favorite character (first being Sirius tied with Marauder-era Remus). I always thought Reg would be kinda nice, but really evil... like Malfoy.
This is only your first fic? It's so good, I thought you'd have to have a lot more up! I really liked it; you captured emotions and personalities perfectly. Although, I wish Sirius would be in it more... does he come in later? (I hope) But no, this fic is really really great! I loved it, it's going on my favorites! Again, excellent job Mere! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing. -looks guilty- Sorry Regulus is mean... I needed a bad guy and his named popped into my head. I\'m glad you liked it. :D And yes, Sirius will be in it more later. I wouldn\'t dream of leaving him out. ;)Thanks also for the favorite. xo Mere
Mere! Another update! I could sing. Probably about Slytherin (my house on the forums), or about Paramore (my favorite band), or about how my fic was rejected a second time *sobs* So sad. Anyway, great job on this chapter!
Author's Response: Becca! -hugs- I'm sorry about your fic. Ehh...Paramore. >.> I kind of like them. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it. xo Mere
He loves her, but they are over. She loves him, but hates him, too. Neither is willing to take the step needed to get back to each other. Then, one ring changes it all. Can she forgive him in time to save him from himself?
*ONE-SHOT*
Warning: I tried an open ending. Rated for use of expletives...
Awesome story! I was singing the song along with it. I think Ginny reached Draco's flat before he jumped off, and they ended up getting married, and... I'm having one of my hyper days. I liked this, though. I was going through the Most Recent stories list, and found this, and I recognized the title. Poor Draco, though. (Never thought I'd say that). Ginny should have at least gave him enough time to explain that it was his mother's. Great story, anyway. There was a lot of emotion, and power in the way it was written, too. Excellent! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Whoopee! I'm glad you liked it- and you seem to be the only one so far who told me how she thought it ended. I actually have no idea how it would end, so props to you- you are a better woman than I. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it- and I agree. Ginny did get sorta unreasonable, but I think she was caught up in the adrenaline of the event. Well, I'm in a hyper mood, too, and I'm running out of things to give you, so I give you Draco Malfoy on a silver platter. That's what I would want. But you only get him for today. I want him the rest of the week...
