Well hi! My name's Becca, I'm a Gryffindor, and I reside on the forums as twilightHPgirl18. I live in New York, I love the 1940s-'70s almost as much as I love Ashton Kutcher, and I'm actually working on an OF that takes place in 1966, and another in 1976 based on my dad's teenage life :)
My favorite bands are, in no particular order: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, and Pink Floyd.
I love the TV shows The Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, Happy Days, Glee, Saturday Night Live (I love Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell), and Survivor.
My favorite movie at the moment is Pirate Radio (which I love oh so much), but I'm also very fond of Tommy Boy, Across the Universe, 21, The Breakfast Club, The Blues Brothers, and Grease.
My dream is to live in New York City, London, or New Haven, Connecticut. I'm just that cool ;)

Sorry I didn't review until today when this has been up for a while, but it was exactly one year ago yesterday when I began reading Potter's Pentagon: The Five. I remember this not because I am a cyber-stalker, but because there was a chicken dinner at my elementary school that night and my father was leaving for Pittsburgh that day! I was on mugglenet, looking for an interesting fic to read, and I came across The Five. I began reading, but had to say goodbye to my dad and go to the chicken dinner. when i got home, i finished reading it, and have been hooked ever since! Well, anyway, I shall now review The Past (its come a long way since that chicken dinner)

hahahahaha! that's what my friend said to me when I made fun of his mustache! but toi be honest, it was no more than what Tyrone has...
that was really good! but to be honest, i didnt really understand the transition from Emma + Tyrone to Gryffindor + Merlin.... maybe it's just me... i dunno. but that aside, i really liked this! its wonderfully well-written, and i cant wait for the next chapter! {BeccA}

Wow amazing chapter! I loved it, and it was brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^^OOOOOHHHH!!! When I read this earlier I thought I thought she was like, "It's my baby brother, Jordan" being if reworded, "Jordan, it's my baby brother"... Looking back, even I don't understand that... wow.
I like how you re-introduce the characters and everything, it's really cool how they have a different description everytime, how it's re-worded. IT seems like it's really easy to do it, but I'm lucky if I can re-introduce my characters, who I have grown obsessively fond of. I'm serious! Holly and Cory have even popped up in my dreams... *shudders* Some things in this life can never be un-seen...
and I read one of your review responses, and I found out I'm more like all of your characters than I thought. I don't try very hard in school and always get really good grades (Emma), I randomly burst out singing songs from musicals and my iPod (my most recent being Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, The Mirror/Angel of Music, and Disturbia (by Rihanna... yea, it's a very interesting set of songs, being that they don't have much in common...), I've passed as the school nerd in earlier grades (Jordan), I've been pretty shy in the past (Ivy), and... uhh... I have a strange fascination with magical creatures that have been known to cause harm (like vampires and werewolves. I guess that's kinda Ted, since he's a werewolf... and the whole vampires thing, it comes from a summary of the Stephen King book 'Salem's Lot from my mother, and the fact that I wanna read the Twilight books! My mom said they can't be very good, being about vampires, but I wanna read 'em! They look creepy... er... ok, maybe not my best idea to read the summaries at the bookstore *sobs*... I'm gonna have nightmares for a while, featuring vampires named Edward and a random werewolf named Sweeney Ted *runs screaming* Umm... judging by what I've heard about Sweeney Todd, and what I know about vampires, I don't wanna sleep........ Eep.
As that was rather off-topic, I shall continue reading... owww. I was digging up weeds at my mom's office, and I hit myself with a trowel (accidentally), and ahhhh it hurts. Ah well, just a flesh wound (I love Monty Python humour.)
She was like a wind-up toy that never quite stopped going, never quite released all of its potential energy. This was not to say that she was hyperactive like her best friend Haley—just rather high-strung. She tended to speak before giving any thought, and frequently had foot-in-mouth moments, and her dark brown eyes were always blazing for one reason or another. It wasn’t a good idea to get on her bad side, but she could be a very useful ally.

Ok, I'm happy (for now). Ron's not dead yet, and I am ECSTATIC!!! Moving on, the whole (for now) thing is because I've started reading the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, and I'm on the New Prophecy set of books (the original series is 6, the NEw Prophecy is 6and I'm on #4) and in the last book, my favorite character was taken away by humans (these are about cats, by the way) and he's not back yet! And I read a preview for the 5th book, and he's not back in it, either! *sobs* Poor [insert mystery cat's name here]. I don't feel like ruining it, or saying it. I started crying when it happened. Doesn't happen often, but I was crying at the end of The Five.
And a note: In your summary, you say: Read 'The Five' and 'The Past' first.

Author's Response: Ooh, pretty long review! I know exactly what you mean about becoming 'obsessively attached' to your characters. I certainly am. I know so much about them that if I wrote their bios, they would morph into books longer than this story (and this story is 306 pages long, typed!) And some of my friends and I-- especially Aku, who helped me develop the characters-- talk about them like real people. My sister, the best audience in the world, certainly does, and has even written her own 'fanfiction.'
The Sweeney Ted dream I had was unnervingly, impossibly bad. All I need to say is that pervy Judge Tyrone was incomprehensibly horrifiic. AND HE WAS BALD!
I just realized the other day that in my mind, Emma looks a lot like me, only without a gap between her two front teeth and tall (whereas I'm a shortie). Now, I always describe Emma as gorgeous, and I would not describe myself like that, but I've just realized why I've never been quite able to draw her or find an actress to represent her photographically. Oh dear. I never wanted to be the kind of writer who did that...
I will fix that darn summary!
Ahh another update! Yay. And I do hope I'm not to late for the reader art challenge... I still have to get around to that. And life has become hectic for me, what with guitar, fencing, and soccer when school starts up, so I may not be able to review as much as now, but I'll still try. And I have no idea if my fic's been accepted. Can you tell me how the mods let you know if it's been accepted or rejected, and how you know what to fix?

Author's Response: You can submit whenever you want-- hey, another soccer player! I don't play soccer, but Vicki (right below you) does. You've got some pretty cool hobbies. You SHOULD get an email when your story's accepted or rejected, but it doesnt' always work that way. If you want to check to see if a story's been accepted, just go to 'account info' then 'manage stories' and check to see if the title of your story is there. If it's not, then that means it's been rejected. If it's been rejected, go to the forums and post in the thread called "I didn't get a rejection letter". According to your bio, you don't have any stories, so either it's still in queue or it's been rejected-- but I'm betting on 'still in queue.'
Emma and Potions reminds me of Me and Chemistry! I was horrible at Chemistry! Granted, I'm terrible at math, too, but in Chemistry, I was just completely lost. As for Haley, she ALWAYS finds a way to eat sugar quills. I'm SOOO glad you like this. I absolutely loved Little Mermaid, and I highly recommend getting the soundtrack on iTunes-- I play it over and over again, and it's great. I think it's only $10, too.
I have the version with the gray cover with the girl in front of the ripped-up flag. It's the 'only complete and unabridged' version with 1468 pages.

Fedoras rock. I do remember them now... I think I have one... ECHIDNAS COOL {quotes Ted randomly every day so far}. You're right. I do like Ted alot. He annoyed me in the newest chapter of Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums, but now I do find him very interesting. So far, I have found myself fangirling Tyrone Thomas, Cody Potter (in my fic), Ted Lupin, and Jamie [insert last name here] from my fic. I can't give his last name because it's going to be very important later in the quartet, along with Zoey's eye colour. Neville rocks like you said, and I love amphibians too. {although I prefer to call them Animals-of-my-World as there's a large creek behind and in front of my house (about 10 feet in front and two miles behind. I walk to the one behind every summer at leat three times).
I started HP at age 5. My mom read SS to me, I stole CoS from her, I made her read PoA first, she wouldnt let me read Flesh Blood and Bone and the Death Eaters in GoF but I did anyway, I hated OOTP and it took me until trhree months before HBP came out for me to finish it. I read HBP in a week, and DH in a day. I read waaay too much. {and I have noticed that the first 58 pages of Les Mis are about the bishop. It's very boring right now.}
Author's Response: Here's the heights in mine-- I already said Ted was six feet, five and a half inches. Tyrone's six foot one. Emma's about five foot seven, but she'll never stand still long enough to be measured so she might be a little bit taller. Jordan's five foot six, slightly shorter than Ems. Ivy's five foot four and a half. And Haley's five feet, one and a third of an inch. Wolfgang and B.C. are both five foot eleven, Arden's five foot two, Anatoly's five foot nine and a half, and Giorgi's five foot ten. As for me, I'm anywhere from five foot two and a half to five foot three and a half depending on the accuracy of the instrument I'm measured with.
I have to tell you, you might be a little happier with Ted when you read Chapter Six of "Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums." Silly Emma is making his intentions out to be worse than they really are. I really can't wait to read your story!
When I was six, my violin teacher told me about Harry Potter. (I only took violin for two years, but it was worth it because of Harry Potter!) I thought it sounded cool because he had a scar on his forehead, and I have one on my forehead, too. I learned to read really early, so people used to think I was really smart, but I'm about the same intelligence now that I was then, and I read the same things, so I went from being a smart kid to a pretty dimwitted teenager.
Anyway, I read the first three books in a heartbeat and tried to force my mom to read them. She thought the first one was boring, but I told her she HAD to read until Harry got to Hogwarts, and then she was hooked and read the second and third books as well. GOF, OOTP, HBP, and DH all took me two days to read.
I read most of OOTP in the hospital, because I was at my grandma's while reading it, and she had a stroke and I had to call 911. I was ten, and since it was my grandma's house, I couldn't tell them the address, and I wasn't allowed to go outside to check it. That must've been fun for the people on the line! I also skipped a trip to King's Dominion theme park with my church youth group to read HBP, which my mom still teases me about. I started reading the Harry Potter books to my sister the summer that HBP came out-- she was, I think, ten or eleven then? "Flesh, Blood, and Bone" STILL SCARES ME (and my sister), and I've read GOF like seven times. (Also, my sister started crying when Helena Bonham Carter came onscreen in the OOTP movie. She wanted to see Sweeney Todd with me, but I told her she couldn't because Helena Bonham Carter's in it. For some reason, she's terrified of the lady.)
OKAY now its up! haha at the time I reviewed saying it wasnt up, it wasnt... sorry!
Anyway, this was spectacumazing (new word; dontcha love it? heh)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved Jor-jums. He was so jordan-y in this chapter. Giorgi was, again, awesome. I love how Ted's brother is her Trig teacher! Maybe if I pretend that my maths teacher is Ted Lupin's brother, it'll be more fun... This chapter was, like, wonderful. I loved it, althought I didn't really get the lion-falcon-vision-snake thing... It makes sense, just not the falcon part... But that aside, I really liked it!

Poor Jordan and his crazy dreams! I had a weird dream last night that I went camping with my family and fell off a train track! Then I had the same dream again and again and again. Then today I fell asleep around noon and had a dream that I was Emma from Marauder era and was madly in love with Sirius Black! Strangely enough, he love'Emma' too... weird... only weird because Emma was me, and what with the horror stories literally told about me to most of the school...

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yeah, Jordan doesn't know why he's not a prefect, either. I think it's because being a prefect involves helping younger kids out a lot, and Jordan is VERY impatient with people who are less intelligent than he is. Also, I think Jordan was so good at Quidditch that it'd be a crime not to make him captain. Or something. (Since Tyrone's really good too, so I don't know how important that is.)
Many, everything keeps pointing out the Icy thing. I had a dream last night about how I was at this weird aquarium, where all of the signs were written to the tune of Scarlet Pimpernel signs (but didn't rhyme) and I was the only person to realize this.
New York City is great. My favourite foods are carrot cake and cheesecake, and in New York, I got... CARROT CAKE CHEESECAKE. If you like Broadway and Disney, I highly recommend looking into the Little Mermaid Broadway cast recording, because the cast is phenomenal, the best I've heard. Even the extras are spot-on. Ursula was hopelessly miscast, but still good considering, and everyone else was just breathtaking. The added songs are great, too.
And this was not because his friends had decided that playing Strip Quidditch on a December evening was a good idea, as that was a different story altogether.

The story is far from over so don't cry yet about Meredith and Sirius. =] I understand what you mean about feeling bad for Meredith...and as for her acting that way...she's really defensive about James. She hates it when any girls are too close to him and now that she's seen him hanging around Lily a bit, she's really ticked off. A little selfish, but that's Meredith.

Juliaaaa! That was an amazing chapter! RL has been very busy for me lately so I've only just had the time to read all the way from chapter 8 to here today, and I'm honestly glad I did! I feel so unbelieveably bad for James right now... and Lily a bit too... As for Meredith, I'm glad she and Lily are friends again. Andy and Kelly are, like, a perfect couple. And I'm surprised that James would date Olivia after all that Sirius must have said about her when they broke up... And argh... I thought she would talk to Remus!
