Favorite Harry Potter book: IMPOSSIBLE. That's like choosing between children.
Other books I like besides Harry Potter: The Host and Twilight, both by Stephanie Meyer. (Team Jacob, woot woot!) A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks was really good too. And then The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.

The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. You have great word choice and you described everything very well. However, I noticed you were a bit redundant at times; maybe use a pronoun instead of reusing the same noun. I also noticed that you were lacking commas in parts. The last thing was that there were several awkwardly placed phrases. For example:
"The water gushes out of the rotting drainpipe but all that he smells is the intoxicating scent of Draco's cologne."
The first part of the sentence has nothing to do with smell, so they should be two separate sentences instead of combined with "but."
Oh, one more thing: watch your verb tense and 1st/3rd person perspective.
Overall, it was really good and extremely good writing and wording. And great plot bunny!

Oooo! Action-y! I loved the twist! Twists are fun! I did notice that the escape was unrealistic. At first I was thinking, "He can't honestly expect me to believe this?" But then I was like, "oh." Aaaanyway, I thought it was really good, and I usually don't like dark/angsty fics, so yay! =)
