So I've probably read this story several times. But I only just now got the allusions to Lousia May Alcott's Little Women. The March and Laurence Family bit should have tipped me off. I love your stories.

Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much for rereading and for knowing the characters in Little Women! :) Happy New Year!

Friends, Funerals… and Fred by FinnFiona

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

[Final warning: DH spoilers follow.] Three days after the final battle of Hogwarts, Harry must begin the painful task of attending the many funerals of the fallen. The first is perhaps the hardest, and Harry is focused on helping the Weasley family make it through the day—but maybe he still has a few things left to learn himself.

Author’s Note: I’ve read many a good story on the death of Fred Weasley, of whom I have always been very fond. Yet I think I needed to write my own version for that extra bit of closure. I hope you all enjoy, and maybe even experience a touch of catharsis yourselves. And as always, please leave a review! They're a huge help, and will all receive responses.

I love all these character studies. I think you do a really good job of telling about the character through the eyes of other people. I think you did justice to Remus' and Ginny's relationship in the Remus piece. I would love if you could do some other characters. I think Neville would be cool and maybe Fluer's would be an interesting story, of the men who loved her. Really loved her, not just swayed by her Veela-ness. And maybe a next generation person too. I love the personality you gave Al. It might be hard because of all the OCs you would have to create but I would like to read them. Keep writing more!

Glass Ginny by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Ginny Weasley has a strong spirit, and is not given to weepy emotional displays. But when her friend is taken from the Hogwarts Express during her sixth year, her fears begin to rumble and rage... at least for a moment.

This is WeasleyMom of Hufflepuff writing for the final of the Hogwarts Missing Moments class.

I am delighted that this fic has been added to the SBBC Hall of Fame on the Beta Boards. Thanks to my fellow SBBC-ers!

A fantastic missing moment. One that I am absolutely surprised that no one else has taken on. I believe that is exactly how things would have happened for Ginny.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you like this piece. Thanks for reading and taking the time to review! :)

Unspeakable by C_A_Campbell, Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Unspeakable, Michael Corner, is researching time, events, and probabilities. While testing his newly-invented RANDOM system, he stumbles upon an unspeakable possibility. Former supporters of Voldemort, all acquitted for their crimes, are dying of so-called natural causes. Intrigued by the possibility that these events might be connected, Michael investigates farther. But what he discovers will test him and raise questions that all his probabilities cannot answer for him.

What is justice? And what is unspeakable cruelty?

This is C_A_Campbell/thegirllikeme and Northumbrian of Ravenclaw writing for the 2011 Mysterious May Challenge in the Great Hall, Prompt 4.

Excellent. This was a great story. I've been a fan of Northumbrian for a long time. But I really enjoy how you give minor characters who are barely mentioned in the book so much depth. I look forward to more.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review of this, my only co-written story. I have, unfortunately, been unable to contact my co-author, as I’d like to do a rewrite of this one but I’m wary of doing it without her permission. I’ll be continuing Michael’s story soon. -N-

Yay! Those lovely SBBC people have added this story to the SBBC Hall of Fame! I knew there was a reason I joined that group. Hehe. Thanks, you guys!

Thanks so much to Natalie/hestiajones for beta reading this so close to the submission deadline. She is everything she is cracked up to be.

Beautiful. I love that you made Fleur into a real character, and braved her accent, something people are often loathe to do in the fanfiction world. I'm loving your missing moments.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much. I really enjoyed exploring Fleur here, and had some fabulous help from my beta with the harrowing accent. I appreciate you taking the time to review! :) ~ Lori

Brother Mine by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

awesome. I love that you got inside the head of someone who no one really knows about in the books.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! This is still one of my favourite fics that I've written and am proud of even after all this time. It's nice to see that people are still reading and enjoying it, so thanks for reviewing. :)

Never Discussed by HalfASlug

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

Harry waits for someone to meet him at Godric's Hollow on Christmas Eve. This is a story about growing up, moving on and remembering your past without taking it with you.

H/Hr friendship with a bit of H/G

beautiful. And I think it is really important that there was a focus on Harry and Hermione. I think their friendship is sometimes thrown over in favor of fluffy pieces about their romantic lives. While I enjoy the fluff immensely I appreciate that they are dynamic characters with relationships to non-Weasleys.

Footprints in the Sand by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: It was a summer like any other for Danny. He worked at his parents' Bed and Breakfast during the day and partied hard on the beach at night. He played the game, and played it well. But then he met Oliver Wood, and his life was irrevocably changed.

This is Equinox Chick and this is my entry for the OC challenge in the Character Clinic. This is the Shipping Prompt. (and has nothing to do with ships - hee hee.)

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. Sadly Oliver Wood belongs to her, but Danny is mine.

My protagonist, Danny, was briefly mentioned in my story Drowning, not Waving. This is his story and has been written nearly a year after Jess (ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor) asked me to write it.

This story won the 2013 QSQ for Best SSP and Danny won the 2013 QSQ for Best Original Character. I thank the judges, very much.
