I am a 17-year-old male. I absolutely LOVE J.K. Rowling's writing style and her amazing ability to create complex, believable characters and plots. I am very much influenced and inspired by her writings, and dream of becoming a great novelist, just like her.

There's a story here for most everybody with a bit of imagination. For fluffy, clean romance, read "Woes of a Midget Owl." For more G-rated fun, read "Buckbeak's Ferret Dinner" or "Voldemort: A Fable." "Under the Emerald Spell Light" is for those who appreciate tragedy. For teens and more mature audiences I have written "Heat" and other stories that don't appear on this site. Or, if you're very flexible, you may read them all!

Read my novel-length fic, "The Scarlett Letter", on ffnet and fictionalley.

Coming in January (I'm too busy to post until then): "Dumbledore, Please Explain Your Twisted Logic!" A comedy of dramatic proportions, literally. Stay posted, because I'll soon put up a plot summary and more info. I've already started writing it.

I try to write the most creative stories possible, though just as well-written to match it up. Tell me if I've succeeded or not!

Summary: What happens when two wizards Apparate to the same place at the same time?
Reviewer: Islander Signed

I loved it! Fred and George splinching, or splicing, or whatever! Great job!

The Talk(s) by smokeline

Rated: Professors •
Summary: After walking in on a snog-session between Ron and Hermione, the Weasley family takes it upon themselves to inform them about the birds and the bees. One-shot.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 01/11/08 Title: Chapter 1: The Talk(s)

Whee, what a lovely fic! We need more R-rated humor fics on Mugglenet. If you do a search for all the humor fics rated Professor, you'll only find one page of them. But I'm putting one up soon, so I'll join your numbers.

Anyway, hilarious sex talks! Really funny to read, really nice. Your style was nice, your dialog was fun, etc. I just love double entendres, by the way. "Your first time is like riding a broom..." LOL!

Ubertastic job!

Highly Improbable by Vocalion

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: COMPLETE. A woman visits Hogwarts expressly to meet Severus Snape. Her eccentric aunt led her to believe that he was the kindest, handsomest man to ever grace the earth. What will she do when she discovers the awful truth - let a few minor imperfections stand in the way of romance? Highly Improbable has been recognized by the Multifaceted Awards as Winner in the Laughter Category and Runner-Up in the Identity Category (Best Original Character), and also by MNFF's first annual Quicksilver Quills Awards. Thanks, MuggleNet!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! This story was very funny, very touching, and very unique. Clancy was such a neat character, and a much better match for Snape than Hermione!!!:) This pairing is especially refreshing after the countless predictable, boring romances I read in fanfiction. I especially LOVED your anagrams!!! Those were really cool! Keep on writing!!!!!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, romance is only interesting if it's unpredictable. :-)

One Blue Line by blondebouncingferret

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Fred, George and Ron find a Muggle pregnancy test in the bin... and Ginny's been ill for the past few days... any connection? One Shot fic.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 09/24/06 Title: Chapter 1: One Blue Line

Heeheehahahaha! I love this story! Very well written, and even better than "Hormones"! Great job, and absolutely wonderful humor! You are really a very great writer! I knew Ginny couldn't really be pregnant--but so did we all, and that's the whole point. It was great fun finding out what it REALLY was! Whee!!

The Return of The Great Snapini by Vocalion

Rated: Professors •
Summary: This story may be read separately, or as a companion piece and/or missing scenes from my other fic, HIGHLY IMPROBABLE. It was written in response to a challenge. I have assigned this an R rating, but it is very tame and contains much more silliness than sex. SUMMARY: What is the one thing that will generally persuade a man to do something that he really doesn't want to do? Severus Snape may be an extremely powerful wizard, but he is still a man!
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 01/14/06 Title: Chapter 3: Acting Up

EEEEEEE! WONDERFUL!! I DIED laughing in the last chapter! You are such a wonderful poet; I hate people who are bad poets who force their poetry on others!:) I loved this nearly as much as Highly Improbable!

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

Harry Potter and the Power of Emotion by Melindaleo

Rated:
Summary: Harry is struggling to come to terms with the events of his fifth year. Can he learn to depend on those he considers family and become what he needs to be in order to survive?
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 02/15/06 Title: Chapter 1: Solitary Grieving

One of the best fanfics I have ever read!! This story and its sequel are two of the only three fanfictions that I have read three times. That's how good it is!! I truly admire your style of writing. Now that HBP is out, I certainly hope you haven't stopped writing! Please post of any one of the many sites you post on--I'll find it sooner or later!!

Hormones by blondebouncingferret

Reviewer: Islander Signed

Heehee! Funny, this Ron and Draco thing. I've read quite a bit of Harry/Draco, but not as much with Ron. Funny, funny, funny. Good job!

Loony Lovely Limericksy by kaykayagain

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Limericks of many-a-harry potter character! Starting with the trio! Rated R for ONE limerick out of 7
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 01/11/08 Title: Chapter 1: The Trio Part 1

Hmmm... good try. The meter really isn't correct, so the limericks are uneven. And that one limerick that gave it an "R-rating"... it wasn't R. "D***" and "pouf" are really only PG-13 words, especially since they're used nonsexually here.

Well, I DO love Hermione a whole lot, and I'm more like her than any other HP character (at least, that's what all the tests say), but I do like making fun of her bushy hair and large front teeth. :D

The Challenge by Little Loony

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Sirius and James do a little comparing with the aid of one Remus Lupin. It is not how it seems at first.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 01/11/08 Title: Chapter 1: One Shot

LOL! I was actually expecting them to be comparing their wands, not two strawberries. If it had been their actual privates, I know this story wouldn't have been allowed on this site. :D Funny, well-written.

Draco's Reflection by Galadriel8891

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: One-shot. Draco Malfoy has made a choice, and there is no turning back. But is it the right decision?
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 12/30/05 Title: Chapter 1: Draco's Reflection

VERY good story! You did a wonderful job with Draco; I think this story closely follows what he probably went through in HBP. You're a great writer!

ALBUS AND MINERVA by Wiccan

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Yes, yes I know...the visual is enough to turn you off! (Run screaming and gagging in total disgust! Bleegggghhh!) Alright...get your minds out of the gutter! There will be no wrinkled old bodies wrestling and sweating in the throes of passion here. These are NOT hormonally driven teenagers. Rating is for subject matter only (I mean they actually mention the word…SEX! Horrors!). I have just often wondered if there wasn't something going on between these old fogies. JKR seems to hint at an intimate sort of playfulness between them and I decided to investigate that aspect. This is a one-shot complete character analysis. I hope you enjoy it and it doesn't give anyone nightmares. Let me know how you're sleeping...

Date: 09/09/06 Title: Chapter 1: ALBUS AND MINERVA

YES!! A very, very good job and a very wonderful ADMM fic. I wasn't grossed out in the least--in fact, I was quite tickled by their conversation. It was very interesting and amusing, and kept my interest. Kudos to you for this wonderful story!

Author's Response: Thank you so very much! I loved writing their snarky, teasing conversation. Too many \'youngins\' can\'t get over the \'old folk still have urges\' idea. I am so glad you liked it!

The ode to Odo by Erik

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is my verison of the song Slugtorn and Hagrid sang that night after Aragog's funeral. Odo himself, as well as the entire last paragraph, belongs to Rowling.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 11/03/06 Title: Chapter 1: The ode to Odo

WOW, this was amazing!! It should have so won over "Raconteur"!! In fact, it was probably even better than the other runner up "A Ghost Story" (which was also better than "Raconteur"). The rhymes were amazing, but the rhythm was even BETTER!! Amazing! Very few people have good rhythm. I myself do sonnets (I have one on this site called "Sirius's Azkaban"), but this poem here is an even greater achievement than one sonnet. Seriously, I've never seen better in fanfiction! Please keep it up, and you may become the next Shakespeare :D

Afterglow by Madame Moony

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
And if you could see, what's come over me, then you would know.
'Cause I'm walking free, the wind at my back...
Bathed In Afterglow.

-Vanessa Carlton
~*~
Based on the song "Afterglow", by Vanessa Carlton, it is the story of Remus Lupin and the few moments in time after the death of James, Lily, Peter, and the imprisonment of Sirius Black. As Remus struggles through these difficult times, a symbol of light in the form of his last true friend, Sam Tyler, emerges in the darkness. Now, Sam must struggle to pull Remus from his depths of grief and loss, and hope to gain his heart in the process.
~*~
This is a one-shot, rated PG-13 only because of the fact that Remus is 'under the influence' through the entire thing. I would rather say something more like "Rated PG-11", but there is no such rating... *sigh* Warned AU for my OC, and warned DAA for Remus's little Firewhisky spree. I would also like to add that there is a small mention of suicide, though not enough to make me place a warning on the fic. R/R!
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 12/24/05 Title: Chapter 1: One-Shot

Good story! I feel so sorry for Remus! You did a wonderful job. Keep on writing!

Author's Response: Thank you, Islander! I always love to get a review saying "Good Job". It's so encouraging. I truly wanted to make any reader feel sorry for Remus... In fact, that was the true basis of the story, and not the romance. But, I guess having a dash of romance on the side wasn't a bad idea afterall. ^.~ Thanks again!

Walk Away by Alexarama

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: -=Oneshot=- *+*Song Fiction*+*

Two un-named people, a winter night & a lot of tears. What do you think the story is about? Yes, breaking up. But, it's cute.

Based on the song,

Walk Away by

Franz Ferdinand.

Attention!!! I have made a prequel to this story and it is awaiting validation! It's called Familiar Faces, Unfamiliar Places. Check it out!

Date: 01/15/06 Title: Chapter 1: Walk Away

That was such a great story! Very sad, and quite well written. But we don't know who those two people were! I think it's Ginny and Harry, maybe. . . Have you read the short story "The Lady or the Tiger?"? Well, this story is just as infuriating as that one. In a good way, of course!! Good job!

Author's Response: Nope (Am I refering to not having read "The Lady or the Tiger" or am I saying, nope it's not Ginny and Harry......or is it? He he he, i wouldn't tell you anyway... MWHAHAHAHA!)

A Ghost Story by mcclure_512

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: This one is about our good friend Severus Snape. For obvious reasons, he’s hasn’t been feeling too delightful lately, and his thoughts throw him into a spiral of fear and guilt.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 11/03/06 Title: Chapter 1: A Breath of Darkness

Wow, this is absolutely amazing! It's much better than "The Raconteur", and you should have won the Quicksilver Award! Amazingly creepy and well-written!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review. Didn\'t like \"The Raconteur\"? I guess free verse isn\'t for everyone. I found it quite good myself though.

The Thoughts of Tabitha by mugglegurl

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Meet Tabitha, the fourteen year-old daughter of Harry and Ginny Potter. What happens when she finds herself attracted to the son of her father's worst enemy? Along with a set of new characters, and the return of some old ones, this teen will find the meaning of friendship and family.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 03/17/06 Title: Chapter 1: On the Hogwarts Express

Good story! I'm already liking Tabitha--she is quite an interesting character (I think it's funny that she didn't inherit her parents' Quidditch talent!). Keep writing!

Author's Response: Thanks! Odd, I thought I put that Tabby DID inherit her parents' Quidditch talent...

Snape's Folly by Dumbledore Prince

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Post-HBP one-shot. Only two days after Dumbledore’s murder, Severus Snape is sitting in Number Thirteen, Spinner’s End. He is thinking about what he has done, and what rewards he has got. Little does Snape know about the vicious trap he has walked into, and the price he has to pay in return …
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 09/09/06 Title: Chapter 1: One-shot

This was such a wonderful story! I liked it even more than your other one-shots! Especially at the end when Snape killed himself--it was so sad! And how his mother was the only person who cared for him, not Dumbledore. That's even sadder. Very well-written, and very engaging. And to think I wouldn't have read any stories if you hadn't left me a review on my own stories :) It just goes to show how good it is to leave reviews on the stories you read :P

Author's Response: You think it\'s better than all my other one-shots? Thanks for that comment, but if you\'ve read my bio, you\'ll notice that SF is my first story here (and not the best one, in my opinion, at least). Thanks again for your compliments and your other reviews. :D

~Mini.

Amor Non Mutuus by Dumbledore Prince

Rated: Professors •
Summary: “Amor Non Mutuus” is Latin for “Unrequited Love”.

This is the story of the tragic love life of Merope Gaunt, Voldemort’s mother. It is told in first person from Merope’s point of view. She has deep feelings for Tom Riddle Senior, the son of the village squire; and tries to make him fall in love with her. However, Merope learns the hard way that a “love” potion can create only a powerful obsession, not true love.

Additional warning: bad language.

Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 09/09/06 Title: Chapter 1: One-shot

Oh, this was so sad! I found Merope's story very sad in HBP, and it's just as sad in this dramatization. Good job with this story!

Author's Response: Thank you! *is convinced that the story is a tear-jearker*

Possessed by the Imperius Curse by Dumbledore Prince

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: This story elaborates upon the day in Broderick Bode’s life when he was Imperiused by a Death Eater. As we know, he was forced to take the prophecy from the shelf, but he did not succeed.

Written for the Harry Hospital Wing Project: The Department of Mysteries by Dumbledore Prince of Gryffindor house.

Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 09/09/06 Title: Chapter 1: One-shot

This story was quite intense! Great job building suspense. It's really a very well-written missing moment. You write quite nicely, and your stories are fun to read and make sense. I don't like it when stories don't make sense and are boring (obviously). However, this little story with Broderick Bode is quite up to task and a good read.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review and the compliments! :D

Hope in the Midst of Darkness by meryal

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry has just vanquished the Dark Lord but at a terrible price. As he starts to lose hope he sees something that might just save him from himself.
Reviewer: Islander Signed
Date: 09/06/06 Title: Chapter 1: Hope In The Midst of Darkness

Aw, this is really quite a sad and sweet poem. It's sad because Ron and Hermione are dead, but sweet because Ginny's still alive. Poetry is really quite a wonderful thing: I have poem up here also, plus another that I submitted today. If you have time you can check them out (that's another good thing about poetry; it's short and it doesn't take a long time to read and review :) One quick correction: in your summary, "vanquish" is spelled with an "i", not "vanquesh". That's all. Good job!

Author's Response: Thanks! The typo should be fixed, and I\'m glad you liked it!
