I just stumbled across your story this morning and read all 8 chapters! I'm hooked! I love that it's a story with Potter's in it, but they aren't the main characters! I love Clariss, she's very relatable and I love how your portraying Lily as her friend! I can't wait for more and to see how you take the story from here! It's also a pleasant suprise to come across a new character and hear their last names and recognize them as so and so's kids! It's a bit like a class reunion! Well done!

Oh good!! I was worried for a second about the twins, but this is great!! After this one is over, will you be putting them into the other stories?

Author's Response: Oh yes, I have already planned on writing seven stories in the series; one for each of the years at Hogwarts. I also may write one more about the years after Voldemort's downfall. I hope to start posting my second year in a month or so after I complete the first.

I don't know if it's true, but in my mind, Severus's mother and father are both dead, which is why Snape is always seen at Hogwarts during Christmas or any holiday for that matter. And, since Severus is a very closed off person, I want to make it appear that holidays are a hard time for him because he's not a festive person by nature.

That being said, I only give a little bit of Christmas Day in the story. Also, I don't really give Severus any lines on Christmas, but I think you will like what he gives Destiny for her present. (It sort of gives an insight on their future relationship :) I don't think it's hard to imagine that Severus has a hard time talking to Destiny about certain things.)

Then, the rest of Christmas Day is implied in the story, mostly because Destiny's birthday is in January. Instead of making a big getting together for a holiday, that normally Snape doesn't seem to care about, I get the father and daughter together for Destiny's 12th birthday. Well, I hope you like the next chapter.

Great! For a split second there I thought for sure it was going to be Harry, but then he wouldn't really be caught dead at one of those parties. It was awesome that it turned out to be Draco! I had an ewww, what if it had been Ron moment, but lost that as I read further in! (We'll assume there is a charm to prevent siblings from being attracted to each other at those parties!) :P

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! You know, this story came to me a while ago, and at first it *was* Harry. But I just couldn't go anywhere with it until the challenge popped up and I thought - ah ha! This would work! But we couldn't do Harry/Ginny or James/Lily, so Draco it was, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. The thought about siblings running into each other at the party occurred to me too (although I never thought it was Ron, eww, lol!) so yes, I'd say there is *definitely* a charm that prevents that from happening. Unless, of course, you wanted to write a Shakespearean tragedy! Thank you so much for reading this and leaving such a great review, I really appreciate it!! ~Gina :)
