Hi my name is Brooke Fox. I am a young, unpublished writer, currently live at home, and am a Church of Christ member. I attend college and work part time as a professional dog bather. Fun huh? I am a huge fan of Harry Potter- one of my favorite chracters is Severus Snape so you will probably see more than one thing written on him- Gone With the Wind, and Patrick Swayze movies. I also enjoy music, especially singing.

Minerva McGonagall and the Half-Blood Prince by DailyProphetEditor

Rated: Professors •
Summary:

What do you do when the man who murdered your best friend turns up and claims to be innocent?

What do you do when you realise you slowly start trusting him again?

What do you do when you fall in love against your will – with a man half your age?

This is a McGonagall/Snape fic about trust, friendship, shame, and love. It’s canon compliant otherwise; set immediately after HBP except for a mini prologue.

This fic also is my attempt at continuing the at Book 7, so you also have the war against Voldemort, the search for the Horcruxces, and the way they run Hogwarts during that year included in the plot.

Side characters like Ron, Hermione, Moody, Lupin, Tonks, Neville, Augusta Longbottom, Draco, Hagrid, and the rest of the Weasleys get their fair share of the story.

It is done novel style, which means that some apparently minor issues mentioned in early chapters will become important in later chapters. I do recommend you read them in the right order.

To be on the safe side, I rated this “Professors” because it contains violence, sexuality, character deaths, and torture - although none of them described in detail.

Also I now have added an AU warning - my story contains two detals that we will not see happening in "Deathly Hallows". I made the Sorting Hat a Horcrux, and Arthur Weasley will become interim Minister for Magic in my last chapter. Well, I wrote this before those rumors were shot down as non-canon by JKR, and I'd not like to change my plot now - so, sadly, my story has become a bit AU. You have been warned ;-)

You have done such a remarkable job in creating a believable relationship through a highly unlikely pair. There is plenty of dialogue, yet the story never has a dull moment, for which I congratulate you. This chapter in particular was extremely riveting and suspenseful- singular in creating empathy between reader and characters. Nice job! I can't believe this story didn't get more reviews!

Fabulous! It's about time they became happy- also about time for the much needed reconciliation between Harry and Snape.

This was just a beautiful story. It took my breath away and filled my heart to read it. You are truly talented to create something so developed in just a few short chapters.

Walking in Darkness by shadow_ks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A response to the Summer Challenge at Potter Place

Prompt No 11: Post Voldy defeat and Hermione is now a vampire. Given the Wizarding world's intolerance of vampires what will she do? Who will help her? Perhaps the bat of the dungeons?

Plese note that even though there is a Character Death warning, it is not for one of the main characters

I keep going back to this chapter... the scene between Draco and Ginny was so beautifully written.

This chapter is reminiscent of the days Ginny used to spend with her old friends, Harry and the lot, in a comforting, carefree friendship. Now she is sharing such a relationship with Draco. The relationship is brought about with an easy grace, not straying too far from the original characters.

The Voldemort chapters kept me unfailingly on edge, and the passion the end of the story imbibes is almost too much too bear. I also love the fact that you brought Snape into the picture and portrayed his true loyalties. Nicely done, this story is breathtakingly beautiful!

When Worlds Collide by jenny b

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:

Rose was a Weasley. She never gave Scorpius Malfoy a second glance. They were sworn enemies, even though they’d barely even spoken to each other. But sometimes all it takes for love to blossom is a Potions lesson, a few snide remarks and a dropped book.

Two people. Two entirely different worlds that are suddenly intertwined.

That made me smile. What a compliment to wake up to, first thing in the morning. :)

Thank you for reviewing, and I hope you like the rest of the chapters I've posted so far! I love making the angsty / dramatic scenes, they're so much more satisfying to write! I'm glad you liked that too.

A Much-Needed Rest by Belle Vie

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: This chapter takes up where Chapter 36 in the Deathly Hollows left off, in the hours immediately after Voldemort's defeat. Harry, Ron, and Hermione try to take in all that has happened to them over the last few months, and try to resolve who they were when they first came to Hogwarts with who they've become after their long ordeal.

So interesting! Very realistic, too, I congratulate you on that. I especially loved the part about Snape. I just wrote a little ditty called Snape's Revelation- pretty new also, it's still in the most recent category- in which I endeavored to create a situation in which Snape told Harry in person of his love for Lily, and gave him Dumbledore's last information. Though he retained his hatred for Harry in my story, I longed to create a situation such as this but couldn't force myself- it seems in Snape's death, though, you were able to make it happen. Good job!

Also I think you were right in saying that many people longed for some more details that J.K. Rowling never gave out in the seventh book. This helps fill in the cracks a bit. Beautifully written.

The Dark Encounter by Justice180482

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

She is now of age and a full member of the Order. The encounter causes Hermione to want to help Snape with his spying duties. But Snape won't accept Hermione's help or friendship. But their paths keep crossing. AU in the sense that it ignores DH.
