I've been reading the HP books since they were released in the US. I'm not very into shipping, just the canon stuff, you see. OC's and AU's are not my cup of tea. There are a few exceptions. I like canon. A LOT. I don't usually read anything above a PG-13 unless it's R for violence or swearing or something. I certainly won't write anything above a PG-13. I tend to like my fics fluffy and sad. Just like the books. My current favorite fic is Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past, hosted on fanfic.net.

Thanks for reading

The Time is Now by Hermione816

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The most succinct summary ever!! My "Book 7" told with revolving POVs from Hermione, Ron and Harry's perspectives. It's got it all! Romance, mystery, intrigue, Horcruxes, humor, international travel, house-elves, new characters, Voldy, the Burrow, and at least one wedding...

Ah, Paris. :) I love the Casablanca? reference. I'm with Harry. It brought up a vague picture of an old movie. Good job, anyway.

Author's Response: You are good!! Yep, Casablanca it is. I just couldn\'t resist, plus for plot purposes, I just wanted to remind everyone that Hermione grew up Muggle, y\'know?

Ooooooo. The only question is: do you write evil DE Snape or evil-for-a-reason Snape? In any case, he won't necessarily know what the trio is up to, will he? :)

Nice cliffie.

Author's Response: Who says Snape is evil? ;-)

The History of Those We Thought We Knew by StaceyLC

Rated: Professors •
Summary: As Harry begins his quest for the remaining horcruxes, his world is turned completely upsidedown by the return of Severus Snape, and Harry learns more than he ever thought possible about Snape, his parents, and the burning question of Dumbledore's death.

OoOo That's definitely not good. I do think that this is my favorite "making amends with the Dursleys" scene though. Good job!

Author's Response: Yeah... I was in two minds about the \"amends\" thing, because I know a lot of people either want that or are doing that. The Dursleys and Harry will never really make amends. Aunt Petunia just knew that she needed to tell Harry some things before he left for good. And Harry needed to stop being a brat and realize that they DID take care of him for 16 years. They never had to... Dumbledore said that himself. So, I wanted him to grow up a little bit. Oh, and what\'s not good? What happened or the actual chapter? lol

True Colors by elephas

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The Healers blatantly ignored him. No sense in spending time and money to save a patient for later execution. Better to let him die now. Better for everyone concerned... Severus Snape, war criminal, head of the Ministry's Most Wanted list since the end of the war, is finally apprehended - but not without a fierce fight. No one cares if he lives or dies, or even how he dies, except for one person...

I love it! Not the least because I have a soft spot for unrequited Lily/Snape. It just makes so much sense, down to Dumbledore not wanting to explain Snape's past to Harry. I really wished he had chucked the money at Scrimgeour though. *sigh* Well, I suppose that's the difference between him and Harry. He's all for the logical path. Harry... ;)

Great job, I really enjoyed your take on Snape.

Author's Response: I wish he would have too - but he is too much of a pragmatic for that! He\'s not one for proudly starving to death if he doesn\'t have to. I am thrilled you liked my take on Snape -- he is by far my favorite character.

Harry/Ginny in front of the Dursleys. That's something I've never seen before. Priceless. Good job on creativity.

Hope by nerd2006

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Ron and Hermione visit a damaged Harry in St. Mungo's six years after the final battle. Hermione's point-of-view.

Date: 04/13/06 Title: Chapter 1: Hope

Chilling, and the reason I think it's impossible for Ginny to die in book 7 without Dead!Harry. Otherwise we get... this. Which works in fanfic but would make me thouroughly depressed if it was the actual ending. Great job with this though!

A Butterfly's Wings by pen11

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A late night meeting between the two Black brothers will affect the outcome of the war in ways neither of them intend. One-shot.
Reviewer: occlumens Signed
Date: 04/14/06 Title: Chapter 1: one-shot

That's quite sad. Good job!

Author's Response: Thanks - I was originally going for vaguely uplifting, but somehow it didn\'t quite come out that way. Canon rather limits the option of having a \'happy\' ending there though. Thanks for reviewing.

A Little Hope For A World-Worn Soul by BaBaKaNuSh_13

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Outsider musings on Harry and his role in the future of the Wizarding World. One-shot.
Reviewer: occlumens Signed
Date: 05/05/06 Title: Chapter 1: A Smile of Hope

Oh, that's so very sad! It's an interesting perspective. I like to read people's interpretations of what the adults think of Harry, with all of their experience. What I'm particulaly interested in is Dumbledore's view, since he knew better than anyone what Harry is like. Dumbledore is incredibly hard to write though, I've tried. But now I'm rambling...

Poor Harry. Great story!

Author's Response: Thankyou for your wonderful review. It made my story seem so unwasted :) Not that I didn\'t enjoy writing it for myself, it\'s just great to see that someone else enjoyed it, too. Hmm, I\'ve been thinking of doing Dumbledore, too. He\'s such a great character, and you\'re right ... he knows Harry so well. And he cares for him so much. I\'d love to do it. :D One day I will. ;D And I like thinking about how adults perceive Harry, too, since we always hear about Ron, Hermione and Ginny\'s (etc) perspectives and not the adults\'. Your review got me thinking. :) Thankyou so much, once again!!! All the best! BaBaKaNuSh_13.

Return to Grimmauld Place by Slian Martreb

Date: 06/18/06 Title: Chapter 1: Return to Grimmauld Place

Oh, this is so good, and so terribly sad. Poor Remus, to be the last one left--again. Wonderful job!

Author's Response: Yes, he is the poorest puppy, don\'t you think? There\'ll be something following that though through the Q shortly called \'The Bonds of Friendship\' check it out and thanks for reading!

Thistles by Vindictus Viridian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Part of the Triwizarding Tournament is the traditional Yule Ball. Two people ascend from the dungeons to attend and enjoy themselves in their own ways.
Reviewer: occlumens Signed
Date: 06/29/06 Title: Chapter 1: The Yule Ball

Oo, I love this! Minerva and non-evil Snape make such a good fic together. I loved the references to Lily and also his amusement at Harry making a fool of himself. Great job!

Author's Response: Here I am replying to reviews and another one pops in! Wow! I like writing the professors when the students aren\'t looking, and after reading for the dozenth time that all Yule Ball fics are cliche\'d, well, suddenly this bunny came bouncing in... Thanks for reviewing! I think it\'s healthy to have a chuckle at Harry now and again.

On the Headmaster's Wall by Rhetor

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Centuries pass; memories fade. No one remembers the sacrifices made to win the war. Only the portraits on the Headmaster’s wall, and one portrait in particular, is able to tell the story.
Reviewer: occlumens Signed
Date: 10/31/06 Title: Chapter 3: Epilogue

This is a beautiful, bittersweet story. I love your OC and the perspective she brings to our beloved H/G. Hermione's portrait was a wonderful touch.

Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks, Tea. I\'m very fond of Linda too -- although I became fonder of her after Chapter Three.
