Starting Over is still an active story, but this unfortunately does not mean it will be fluidly updated, just that it will come up with a new chapter whenever I have the time. I am taking my time with each chapter, making sure it's the best work I am capable of within the realm of the Potterverse. I'm conjecturing that this will be my final work of fan fiction for Harry Potter, as I'm growing more of an affinity for my own original stories, using the experience I've gained from my work on here and other fan fiction sites.
Again, I do want to say how sorry I am that I did not complete In Nomine Amoris to its end. I could tell you how it was going to end, though I doubt it matters to anyone at this point, moved by Deathly Hallows as we were. I also doubt that anyone is going to read this profile information, but oh, well. It's here, just in case.
Love,
Christine
Hey, I've been reading your story the last couple of days. I wanted to try out a Draco/Hermione fic, and I had heard yours is among the best. I am actually opposed to the ship (a R/Hr and D/G at heart), but I am enjoying your story--I like the tension, and you keep everyone in character so well! I will review once more, at the end of the story, but I responded to this chapter in particular. You said, if we wanted to read the original version of Lucius, Draco, and Hermione's conversation, to leave our e-mail addresses, and I'd love to see the original! Here's my address: suprbookwrm@yahoo.com
Thanks so much!! I can't wait to see what happens next! --Christine
Very cute! I was in just the right mood for this, because I watched Pride and Prejudice yesterday. Ron got his girl; yay!
I anxiously await more!
This. Is. So. Funny! Very cute, hilarious, and (hahahahahaHA!) the Little Mermaid...wow.
Tears came to my eyes. I swear. This story completely blew me away--that doesn't happen often. It's extremely well-done. Sure, it would be horrible if the series ended that way, but oh my God, this is an amazing piece of fan fiction you've got here. It's beyond verbal description. Quote me, if you want. Just--wow. When Harry actually WANTED to see his scar on his forehead...powerful. - Christine
Author's Response: Ooo tears! That\'s always a good thing ;) I\'m flattered. And I\'m glad the ending had that effect on you - I had wanted it to be an extremely powerful, not to mention ironic, moment. Thank you for your wonderful review!
"I'm no Ravenclaw, but I finally learnt to take no for an answer." When James stops asking Lily out, she tells him that's not Quidditch!
*smiles*
Author's Response: Suckers for romance unite! LOL. Ta, Thanks!
Interesting... I never saw Lily as feeling undeserving of James, but you captured it well. If this is a companion piece to your story...then I guess I should've read that first. I saw the banner for this story on your MNFF forums signature, clicked on it, and read it. Good work.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you clicked on it! This isn\'t really a companion piece. More like a branch off a tree...A branch that can grow on its own xD Thanks for your review!
Really great...beyond words. 10/10!
Author's Response: Thank you *blushes* I'm a sucker for romance myself!
Well, I think THAT was bloody brilliant! Amazing, fantastic! I haven't any read Ron/Hermione for awhile, and your fic rocked my lil' shipper socks.
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Romance-Non Canon 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2010 mods changed the rules (they got tired of the same fics being nominated ^_~) so no more QQ hopes, but that's okay. No proof is needed that Draco/Ginny = love.
* Written before the HBP, this tale presents an alternate sixth year in which Dumbledore lives, Draco is more than a foil to Harry, and Blaise Zabini is a girl. I hope readers who ship Draco/Ginny will enjoy the story which includes dancing with faeries, Celtic and Norse mythology, school holidays in London and Spain, and loads of fantasy and romance. "Is this a kissing book?" (to quote the Princess Bride) Yes, it is. *
(Warnings were added for safety, due to brief allusions in later chapters, not graphic content.)
Awesome! I was pleasantly surprised, yet again, to receive your update in my Inbox. I caught Cassandra, and the Wesley line--I love those little tidbits! Harry's being kind of jerky, so I hope Wesley and Luna hook up instead... :)
Good show--can't wait for more!
- Christine
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m hoping to finish editing another chap for the queue today, so maybe in a few days there will be another one. *crosses fingers* Harry is moody/broody/self-centred based on OotP characterisation and will turn out fine in the end...but for now...I\'m glad you like Wesley! ^_~
Very good, love this fic!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, because I love it too, and just like a proud mum beaming when someone compliments her child, lol, I love it when you love the story too! ^_^
Hah! Had me laughing the whole time. I was SO excited when I saw the update in my inbox. You know, I don't know if I've said just how much I love your Wesley Roberts character--just watched Princess Bride the other night, so I was definitely in the mood. Keep up the fantastic work, and good luck on the Quicksilver Quills!!
- Christine
Author's Response: Thank you so much, but I think I\'d need more than luck, lol. I can\'t imagine how in the world they can judge one shots against chapter fics, WIP\'s against Completed stories, so if I don\'t win, at least I\'ll be able to say in my Jack Sparrow accent, \"But you have nominated me!\" LOL
Again, awesome! Naughty, naughty pleasures. I love to indulge myself on Draco/Ginny. That Ron-bathroom part had me nearly to tears laughing. This fic is such great fun!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for laughing! Not only do you validate my twisted sense of humour, lol, but I want to make you smile when you read, so you made me a happy writer!
Still loving this, of course. I hope Draco and Ginny find more time to contact each other using the mirrors (though we all love true, physical contact JUST as much..hehehe). Excellent work, can't wait for more!
Author's Response: They\'ll do both, lol, since a story with no snogging just aint romance! :D I hope to update this week, since I have to get all the holiday chaps in over the holidays! ^_^
*sigh* Well done, very well done!
Author's Response: Thank you for being a sucker for romance- makes me feel less alone, LOL. Merci beaucoup!
It's great, really great! I can't wait for your next chapter (all my favorite ships are in this, by the way--R/Hr, H/L, and D/G). I love how you incorporate the Shakespearean quotes, very well-done.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you love the quotes, but I can\'t promise all your favorite ships remain sailing throughout the story. Sometimes a girl thinks she likes one boy, until another one changes her way of thinking. :D Two out of three isn\'t bad, right? *smiles nervously*
Ah! I haven't had time to read for so long (two more chapters to catch up on!). Fantastic, beautiful chapter as always. I was wondering also if the "sucker for romance" line was somehow meant for me, or just a coincidence.
Author's Response: It was serendipity! ^_^ Yay for you finally getting time to read. Makes a happy holiday for you and me both!
He held up a hand to halt the flow of explanation. His eyes grew flinty with determination. "Go and open the double window, I'm going to get my broom and fly up."
Wait a second, I thought the Slytherin dorms were in the dungeon...(in other words, underground and quite without windows...). Ah, well.
I am very sorry that I've not been keeping up with this fantastic fic, because I've been missing out on the Wesley bits, and you KNOW how much I love him. Well, I'm taking this fic one chapter at a time, so it's going to take a while to catch up again!
Still lovin' it!
- Christine
Author's Response: I don\'t think it would be very nice if more than the common room was below ground. Who the heck wants a dorm room without a window? It\'s every student\'s right to check the weather, get sunlight and avoid Seasonal Affective Disorder! :D All I know for sure is the common room is dungeon level, but I thought it all went up from there. I sincerely hope it does.
Thank you for taking time to read whenever you can. I know how hard it can be to squeeze reading in when you write too! ^_^
One by one, very slowly...I am getting through it. Loved the Wesley dream!
Author's Response: To go Jack Sparrow, but you *are* reading! That makes me happier than our cap\'n with a bottle o\' rum, mate!
Every time I sit down to read this fic, something else comes up and I have to stop. It's almost impossible to read one chapter in one go, on account of each being so long--but don't get me wrong, I rather long than short! Anyway, great chapter. I'm going to try to read as much as possible today.
Author's Response: This is the longest fic I have ever written (or will ever write, lol). I think it came from having 4 protagonists and Blaise and Luna having romances of their own as well as serving to foster Draco and Ginny\'s romance! I don\'t regret it, but I do understand if it\'s hard for you to finish in one reading! ^_^
