I really liked this. It was very sweet and to the point. I liked the fact that when they first got together they just admitted to liking each other - that felt more true to their characters. Not overdone at all. Great job.

Aetas nam mutatio by H Cooper

Rated:
Summary: Bearing in mind the events of book 6, this story now no longer fits into the overall plot of Harry Potter. However, I shall continue to write it regardless, keeping it as a separate story. Therefore, please remember that it will not be influenced by book 6. It's the beginning of Harry, Ron and Hermione's seventh year at Hogwarts and change is in the air. Unfortunately, Ron seems to be the only one who doesn't sense it.

This is an interesting and intriguing start to your story. I particulary liked your vivid descriptions. You set the atmosphere of the seedy Knockturn Alley bar very well. I'm very curious about this dancer sho is so serpentine and has eyes like molten gold - lovely image. I noticed a couple of places where you forgot to add periods: where Snape is wondering if Voldemort still believed in him and also where the dancer is pulling Snape to safety. In addition I think that in keeping with the canon treatment of casting spells, you may want to italicize "Frendo Laesio." I was initially concerned about how you were going to keep Snape in character in this environment, but I think you accomplished it rather well. He was not overly interested in the happenings around him, but you still gave him a bit of humanity by allowing him a moment of pleasure when she kissed him. Well done.

Phases of the Moon by BlackClaude

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: In Remus Lupin's fifth year at Hogwarts, his devoted friends finally master the complex Animagus spell, beginning the adventures they will remember for the rest of their lives. But Remus must also face prejudice in the rising war, a test of loyalty versus love, and the danger of his dark secret being revealed.

Pet Peeve Disclaimer: Peter is not worthless, Lily does not have three friends who fall for the Marauders, and no one calls Remus "Remy."

So I've read 2 chapters now and I'm very impressed with your prtrayal of the Marauders. I'm not typically a fan of Marauder fics, but you've managed to give each of them, including Peter, lovely nuances and dimensions. I'm very intrigued and feel a great deal of empathy for your Remus, so I shall herd my kids to bed so I can continue reading.

One brief thing to think about. When Peter and Sirius are playing chess, Peter would have likely informed Sirius that his king was in check and I could be wrong, but I don't think that there can be another move if the king is in check. He would have had to get the king out of jeopardy. I'm just being anal - please feel free to completely ignore me, especially since I'm no master chess player.

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing; I\'m glad you enjoyed it! As for the chess game, you\'re totally right. You can\'t move your king into check.... crap. Hmmm, can I just say that Wizard\'s Chess has different rules? :) Nah, I\'ll go back and fix that. Thanks for pointing that out!

Icy Blue Eyes by Kate Mari

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It's done! Thank you everyone who has helped. Keep reading and writing! Ron and Hermione are starting their sixth year, but something just doesn't seem right between them. Sure, they are still fighting like mad and some accidents happen between the two that may trigger something in their brain about each other, but....well....I don't want to give away the story! Read and Review please!

I'm really into the story! I'm a little unclear as to time frames, though. In ch.2 you indicate that everyone is going to Hogsmeade so I'm thinking it's a weekend. But then Hermione runs from Ron saying they're late for class. Is that just her flustered response? Then in this chapter Ginny & Hermione are in Hogsmeade (is it the same day?) but in class soon after. I'm just a bit confused as to how much time is passing, etc. Otherwise, I love it! Keep the chapters coming!

Author's Response: Hey! Thanks for your response! As for the 'unclear time frames', you pretty much hit them on the ball. Hermione is just flustered (although, she's usually not), and when Ginny and Hermione are in Hogsmeade it is the same day. Classes start later. I'll try and help you stay a little more aware of the time from now on. The next chapter is in queue! -Kate Mari

Can Ginny and Hermione discover the secrets of the caves while at the same time getting their favorite guys to notice them? Well, the final chapter is up! I hope you all enjoy it!!!! I'm 2 chapters in and quite enjoying this piece. I think some of the dialog has me thrown off a bit, but overall a great read. I love the sketchbook and especially the inscription in it.

Author's Response: Glad you liked the sketchbook, sorry if some of the dialogue threw you off. This was the very first chapters of my very first fanfic, and I believe my writing has improved.

Awesome! So glad you updated. Love the Draco/Luna line. Also, the underlying theme of the mean kids turning over new leaves is a nice touch. Is there also a bit of foreshadowing going on there? Go on - you can tell me ;-) Great addition!

Author's Response: Yes I did! And yes, there is a bit of foreshadowing going on :)

So well done!! I really love the direction you're taking Draco in this story (I just read all 7 chapters together & this pertains to the entire thing). I don't think you're going too far out of character with him, just exploring different aspects of him. Especially if you consider how he's evolved in HBP, I think it works beautifully. I can't wait to read the rest! You've won a new fan!

Author's Response: YAY! A new fan! I'm SO pleased you like my Draco!
