I am a twenty-something graduate student with an absolute love of writing and not enough free time in my life for all the stories I want to start.
Main main pairing is James/Lily. I also like Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, and occasionally Draco/Hermione. And I adore Luna Lovegood (just in general, not actually as part of a couple). I have pretty strong opinions about characterization in this series (more so than in anything else I read or write), and don't often write fluff or anything with perfect endings.
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

September 2012: HEY guess what I couldn't wait, and the third installment, "World Enough," is UP NOW under James/Lily. Or just under my name. Or at this link: http://fanfiction.mugglenet.com/viewstory.php?sid=92131. Yay! :D
Amazing. I absolutely love it. I read Trickster all in one sitting and then had to read this one, too. I like seeing the brave side of Leda, she was annoying me so much earlier and it is nice to see her do something good for once.
That's was really good and really sad. I like your characterization of Andromeda and Narcissa. It was clear in canon just how much Narcissa valued her family - Draco in particular - and I can completely imagine her still feeling a family connection to Andromeda. But how could she communicate through a photograph?
I can't wait to see Ron's reaction. I'm sure Hermione will be more understanding, but Ron won't be too happy that his daughter is in Slytherin. The one thing is that the girls don't seem quite so Slytherin to me. They don't need to be evil, but are we going to see any more ambition or cunning from them?
That was really good, but I'm a little bit worried about Rose. I can see Ron and the other Weasleys not be thrilled about that. And I can see her not really fitting in among the other Slytherins, unless the House has changed a lot since the war. Can't wait for the next update.
Author's Response: Thanks! And, well, the conflict that arises from Rose's being a Slytherin is one of the main themes of the fic, of course!
But don't be TOO worried about Rose. This fic's genre is Adventure, with some Romance coming into it pretty far down the line (once she's older)-- though SOME I'm-a-Slytherin-Weasley angst is unavoidable, it's not an Angst Fic by any means. :)
Thank you for the review, glad to hear you're looking forward to more, and hope to hear from you again about the next chapters! :)
That was a great ending. I like to see Lily taking a few steps in the relationship since usually it is all James pursuing her. And I liked the bittersweetness, the realization that their time together is numbered.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the ending! I wasn't sure how it would go over, but I just couldn't end it any other way once I started. It is slightly bittersweet, isn't it? I guess that's part of what draws me to this pairing. Thank you so much for the lovely review, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)
Love it so far! I enjoy Lily having a bit of a sense of humor, I've seen her written as so straight-laced that she just gets annoying, and I always thought she must have been a bit more relaxed if she ended up marrying James. Or, at least, she loosened up at some point along the way.
Author's Response: I like to think that about Lily as well. I have to point you to the story I wrote first, Well Worth the Trouble, because that one is from Lily's point of view and I think she has a deliciously snarky attitude that was great fun to write. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, I hope you enjoy the rest! ~Gina :)
